Wynne Rocksted

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Class: Rouge/Monk

Species: Werewolf (she was a human before she was turned)

Alignment: Neutral Good

Appearance: In her human form, Wynne is a frail looking girl, standing at 5'4" with dark gray shoulder length hair, brown eyes, and a cream complexion. In order to remain dexterous and to avoid harming herself while transforming, she wears typically wears light clothes, including a white blouse, an overall style skirt, an elbow length cape, and comfortable boots.
At will, Wynne can grow wolf ears, a tail, fangs and claws in order to boost her strength and mobility in combat. Under intense moonlight, Wynne will grow in size and take on more wolf like features, suck as paw-like hands and feet, a snout, and dark grey fur all across her body. And during a full moon, blood moon, or harvest moon, she will take the form of a giant gray wolf that is 5' tall at the shoulder.

Personality: If there were two words to describe Wynne, they would be crybaby and idiot. She is a very soft, sweet, and sensitive soul with a self-depreciating nature and poor judgement. She is quick to trust those who offer a scrap of kindness to her, but is also terrified of getting close to people at the risk of hurting them. She has strong morals and a weak voice, being easily overshadowed unless she believes the actions of someone are very wrong.

Backstory: Wynne grew up in the outskirts of a small town as a Lumberman's daughter. Her cabin was small but warm and the town, albeita bit gossipy, was a very tight-knit community. She learned how to cut wood, hunt for small game, and work the mill (with help) at a young age, so she was quite capable by the time she was 10. She was out cutting wood by herself one night when she was attacked by an out of control werewolf. She was able to fend the creature off with her axe until he slashed her across the arm, putting her into a state of shock long enough to pin her to the ground. She would have died if her father was any slower, he had snuck up behind the beast and severed his spinal cord with his axe before shoving his silver locket inside the wound. After dying, the werewolf shifted back to it's original form, which was revealed to be the teenage son of the town's shop keep.

Wynne's symptoms of lycanthropy began to show a week after the incident when she was caught out in the moonlight. Her parents initially did the best the could to handle their young child that was slowly becoming a monster, but it eventually became too much for them to handle. They sent her on her way with a knapsack of food and an axe to hunt and defend herself with, explaining that is was no longer safe for them nor her to stay together. From then on, Wynne lived as a nomad; while she initially tried to find a place where she would fit in, she just hurt too many people across her travels to believe she could ever belong with someone. Since then, she's traveled on her own, never staying in a place longer than a day or two.

Skills: She can hunt for food quickly due to her keen sense of smell and sharp hearing, and has lived in the woods long enough to tell what plants are edible, what's poisonous, and what can be used for tools. She also had a basic understanding of first aid, sewing, and building.

Weaknesses: Lycanthropy is essentially a double edged sword, because the more powerful the form she's in, the less control Wynne has over her body. In her half-wolf form, Wynne is in a battle with herself, only being in control of herself about half of the time, and she has virtually no control over herself as a full wolf. Unbreakable curses aside, Wynne is also a mentally weak individual. She's overly trusting, has low self esteem, and is easily manipulated as long as it doesn't conflict with her morals.

Weapons: Daggers, an axe, her claws, and fangs.

Extra:
  • Due to a lack of positive attention, Wynne is very weak against getting hit on. She will basically go beat red and shut down.
  • Wynne tries to build up walls to keep people out, but she isn't very good at it.
  • While she normally uses her dexterity to avoid combat all together, Wynne could never abandon an ally, and will fight if she must.
The Story So Far

The country of Aerith was a peaceful one for the most part; business was fair, taxes were low, trade was open...at least that's how it was until it became a part of the great Demon King Oberak's territory. Suddenly the peaceful small country became a terror to live in, under constant assault from lesser demons and monsters all under control of the cruel king.

The first attack took place in the humble town of Orrin. On a seemingly normal day, the ground split open and most everyone perished under the fire and assault of monsters. Four warriors, however managed to fight off the king's minions, and proved to be a thorn in Oberak's side. Feeling both impressed and irritated with the "heroes", he decided to curse them instead of killing them. For their impudence, if one one of them would die, the rest would perish as well, and they physically cannot be further than 200 feet from each other.

They are left with no choice but to find a way to stop the evil king's reign.

I'm fairly interested, so I'll be sure to jump in if I have time.
Good luck with school, and don't stress yourself out too much. I'll be on the lookout if you decide to re-launch this at the end of the quarter or whenever.
I didn't die in case anyone was wondering, I'm only half dead.
Rem was taken aback by the compliment, having not expected one in return. What a proper lady... Rem noted, quite rare to see one in a quest party of all things.

Others then hounded Illistrianna about her glowing jewelry garment, and she revealed that is was used to sense creatures such as werewolves and vampires. Rem wondered whether or not her bracelet would be able to sense her, but before she could come to a conclusion, another group of three introduced themselves to the party, however it appeared they wouldn't be joining them. Rem sighed in relief internally since she already wasn't used to traveling with so many people.

The man who appeared to be the most important out of the three (due to his luxurious garments) spoke up in a confident tone, announcing that he was the one who mapped their quest, and that he'd provide them with horses and 5000 gold pieces.

The kitsune's mouth hung agape despite herself due to the shock of the hefty sum of dough. With that much money, her father could retire and pick up a more comfortable lifestyle that would allow him to be around his wife more...technically her mother could retire too, but she highly doubted that her mother would ever want to retire, she'd be selling precious goods even as a feeble old woman.

Rem's heart warmed at the thought, but she knew she couldn't let her mind wander from the task at hand. It was then that she realized that she had never ridden a horse before. A cold sweat overcame her when she realized that she didn't even know how she was supposed to ride a horse with her large glaive. Was she supposed to strap it horizontally to her back? Or was she to attempt to ride an animal for the first time with only one free hand?

Before she could stress over the situation any longer, the man who called himself Elijah spoke up again and mentioned they were to decide among themselves who their leader would be. Rem was about to jokingly suggest "no-nose goes", before she realized that she didn't know these people, their abilities, or if she could even trust them or not...

Rem raised her hand and spoke up, "Hey, Mr. Elijah, was it? I know I'm probably going to be ignored here, but I think having us picking a leader right off the bat seems a little foolish to me. I mean, I don't mean to be a total buzz kill or anything, but How are we supposed to decide who the most suitable person is to lead if none of us know each other? The most any of us talked to each other is a little over an hour and over half of us weren't even told what the quest entails. Frankly, I don't know these people's abilities, their leadership skills, their mediation skills, or if I can even trust them or not. On such a dangerous quest, picking the wrong leader could get us killed." Rem took a pause in her speech and flushed a little red since she wasn't used to talking so much, she lowered her hand timidly and cleared her throat before continuing, "A-anyway, I just think that picking a leader right off the bat when all we know is each other's names would be a bad idea, you know?"
Psssst. I'm super duper interested since I love magical girls! May I submit a character?
Just as Polaris had said, the group that had congregated at the gate slowly began making their way up the hill to greet them. rem pondered for a moment, there were a lot of them...they were looking less like a party and more like a company of sorts. There was no way that all of them would fit into a cart, meaning they would travel by foot; hopefully their walking speed and stamina would all line up, or it could cause conflict like it had in other parties she had traveled with.

Rem now took the opportunity to take a good look at the newest members of the company:

The first she locked onto was the spitfire girl who had caused the commotion at the gate...which thinking upon it now was quite silly since she was meeting up with a group that was outside of town. As she closed the distance, Rem could smell the wolf on her. Now, the girl wasn't holding up and illusionary spell that she could see through, kitsune have a way of identifying other shape-shifters as a self-defense mechanism, and since the girl smelled of a wolf...well, she could only assume the girl was a werewolf.

The second traveler Rem payed notice to was a large half-orc man, he looked a little different from other half-orcs she had seen, but she couldn't quite place her finger on why. He looked quite compitent, however, and she supposed that was all that mattered.

Rem finally allowed her eyes to settle on the last person, whose appearance had caught her off guard, if only slightly. The woman was an elf, which wasn't odd in itself, but her skin was a very beautiful shade of blue. Rem thought on it and realized that she had heard of elves that were blue, they were called Moon Elves, she believed? Though she had been told that they lived in isolated communities, so to see one in such an urban area, much less outside of their forest was quite astonishing. The woman initially gave off a chipper demeanor as she introduced herself, but it changed into something more guarded once she saw the lycan man in the back.

Rem decided that this might lead towards conflict in the party which made her more uncomfortable, so she figured the best thing to do was to distract the elven woman and derail her thoughts. Rem approached Illistrianna with a smile and held her hand out.

"It's nice to meet'cha, my names Rem." She than paused and scratched the back of her head, "gosh, with a beautiful woman like you around, it makes a simple country gal like me feel kinda plain..."

Her last statement was both true and a pure distraction tactic.
I'm sorry I haven't been active the last couple of days, I've been looking after my sick dog.

I can make some kitsune and town lore if you'd like.
@Hippo AF I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I can't accept that specific character without some changes made. I specifically stated in my answer to @ViolentViolet that I didn't want any serial killers as a part of the survivor colony. I'd prefer the characters to only have to deal with outer-world dangers like zombies, raiders, hypothermia, and starvation rather than worrying about getting killed off by another player.

I'm very sorry for having inconvenienced you!
