Current Well... after years of being away, I'm... sort of back. Kinda wonder where should I start, though.

Throwing my interest in!

Had a thought for a bartender who only took the job because "it's the easiest way to learn about a town and its people".
Learning how to human from a bunch of drunks, what could go wrong?

Oh, that sounds like an awesome idea!

BTW guys, the OOC post is up: roleplayerguild.com/topics/189796-i-o…

From a land where the concept of magic existed,
you found yourself in a world where such things are non-existent.
Whether you will try to find a way home or stay where you are,
it's all up to you on this planet called Earth.

Plot

You are a being of fantasy, hailing from the world of Anima Mundi, where the concepts of magic, knights, demons, and other such stuff are reality. You were carving up your story as an adventurer, royalty, mage, or whatever you were back there, doing your job as best as you could to face whatever crisis presented itself in Anima Mundi. Life wasn't easy or anything, but you were enjoying it (or not, who am I to say) and doing the best with what you had there.

Out of nowhere, a strange "portal" appeared right in your direction. Curious as a child when getting a new toy to play with, you touch it and get sucked away from Anima Mundi. Dropped at a strange place called "New York", you now discover that you are in another world: Earth. A world where only humans are existent, the concept of fantasy is something that humans don't believe, there's this thing called "technology" that you have never used before, and so much other stuff that has suddenly dropped into your life.

Well, this is now your life. What will you make of it is up to you.

Explaining the RP Plot and Setting

So yeah, welcome to another of those Isekai RPs. This is what I call a "Reverse Isekai" though, with its basis coming directly from "The Devil is a Part-Timer" series. Instead of you being a human that dies and goes to a fantasy land, you're a fantasy being that suddenly ended up on Earth and now has to do the best with what you have now. And that's it. Simple, right?

The setting will be mostly in New York, where our characters live alongside modern society. At least for the beginning. We're not going to be restricted to NY or just the U.S., we can go to other places. But all characters start in NY and from there on, the story just continues.

Also, aside from the beginning being fixed, the plot onwards will be constructed by the players. Everyone starts in NY and from then onward, good luck with your plot. We can have character sub-plots, of course, but nothing will be fixed by me. You're responsible for your plot, your interactions, your character's lifestyle, etc. This RP is to be constructed by the players without following a fixed route or whatnot. And no, there isn't the MAIN PROTAGONIST here, all of us are equal, including me to you.

Elven, Demonic, Angelic, Beastkin, and other non-human races are permitted here, but they get a human form because this concept doesn't exist on Earth. They'll still keep with the physical and other abilities they had before, sure, and can even transform with a trigger or limitation, but they don't just walk around looking like they used to, they become human.

Battles between characters can happen, yes, but I'd like a bigger focus on the slice-of-life aspect than people going at each other's throats and blowing up buildings. I'm also not prohibiting the usage of magic during life events, but keep in mind that you're a magical being in a world of simple humans. If you don't want to get studied by the authorities, you might as well stay on your best behavior for now.

Another important topic is Romance. I will permit characters to get romantically involved with each other, but I AM ABSOLUTELY BANNING EVERYTHING +18. I don't want some hot and sexy scene of your guys going in a motel or whatever, you can make your character horny if you want but keep the romance PG-13. Anyone who steps out of line will be punished by this action.

Finally, you're free to play a human from Earth too, I'm not going to make you obligated to play Anima Mundi characters by default. They can even know that there are Anima Mundi characters around on Earth, but like these types of mangas/animes, they know and keep quiet about it.

Rules

Character Sheet

I'm dropping the skeletons here, but feel free to style your CS in the way that fits you the most. I love seeing people do their own CS style using a skeleton, so go wild.

This first one is if you intend to play as an Anima Mundi character, a.k.a the reverse Isekai'd characters.

This second one is if you intend to play as an Earth character, a.k.a just the normal humans of society.

I'm back! Sorry for the long delay!

If I get time, I might open the OOC today or tomorrow!
Got a hold of him on Discord. He's alright. Had some irl troubles but our favorite shelled reptile is fine.

That's great to hear. Tort did say he's been having troubles last year, so it's good to know that he's fine.

He got down from the Uber he paid to take him here. It was a trip to come right around here. Though the driver wasn't sure of the road so he dropped him some steps away from the indicated spot. Not like that was exactly an issue for him either. After all, he never heard of the place before. He didn't even know such a street existed. Even though he did shows around the entire country and beyond, such a location was not known to anyone. Blaming the driver for actually wanting to be safe was the last thing he needed to do.

When he arrived at the indicated spot, all that he could see were trees. Trees, grasses... maybe a bird or two... and more trees. In fact, it had so many trees that he could barely see anything beyond it! Was that really the right place? Did he read it wrong? He grabbed the invitation to read it again.

"OK, this is really the right spot. But wasn't a house supposed to be here?" He asked himself.

As he approached it, suddenly a butterfly appeared and stared at him. Then, it flew toward the forest. Once he looked at it more carefully, it was really bright, as if it was a guiding light showing the pathway to where he was supposed to actually go. His eyes glimmered at that thought. That butterfly...

"It's got to be a magical butterfly, for sure." He said.

As a real nerdy person, Leon was actually not that skeptical of magic. After all, he himself had magical powers. Mostly uncontrollable, with nasty vertigo that made him sick a lot of times... but a magical power, nonetheless. And as an anime/manga/video game nerd, he was nowhere near as scared of that possibility. In fact, this was actually exciting! "A world of magic lies beyond these trees, hidden from the prying eyes of humankind, only susceptible to the chosen ones. Now you, as the hero, must now control your powers and master them!" It was such a basic isekai or a fantasy JRPG plot but Leon was liking it so far!

(If any other person were to be in my shoes, they'd definitely find this weird. I think I'm actually glad that I'm a nerd at heart. This is far more exciting than... well, having to deal with her...) He thought.

He pulled out his cell phone and went on WhatsApp. The first conversation to appear was the one with his mom. A rather unpleasant one, after everything that unfolded in the past few months.

"No time thinking about her now. Time to go in and see what awaits me!" He said, excited, while following the butterfly.

The forest expense was huge. The invitation hasn't been too specific on the conditions he was going to walk in, only giving him the directions necessary to get wherever he should go. Although no longer physically together with his rather prestigious family, he knew it was rude to deny an invitation. There was always that thing about "never talking with strangers" that his mother taught him when he was a kid. But he was an adult now. So he decided to take the risk and just roll with it, not knowing what else to expect once he arrived. If anything, this was already better than whatever was being thrown at him during his time in showbiz.

(It has been a while since I ever had something to actually do and look forward to! I mean, in the sense of REAL anticipation!) He thought.

After traveling the whole way, he finally arrived at the house. The old, falling apart, victorian mansion which the "Benefactor" was supposed to be. Considering he lived in a mansion before, the surprise wasn't exactly the fact that it was enormous, but the choice of style taken by this mysterious sender. If he had the money to actually buy a house, why an old one? Was it because of its location, or because it was a personal choice of his own? Either way, he had to admit that it was pretty hidden from the public eyes. The forest itself felt like an even bigger maze, so entering or leaving without any directions was risky, if not completely hopeless.

"So... this is where I'm supposed to stay. It feels hollow... almost truly abandoned." He spoke to himself. Still, he approached the house and quickly saw that two other people stood there.
@MagusDream

I think this looks basically good to go. The only change I would need to see is in relation to be timing of your character developing his powers. Magic is just returning and you would have just developed your powers! Once this is fixed you’re approved!!

Changes are done to make it more recent.
OK @MagratheanWhale, I did my Tristan replacement. I await your judgment. (And again, sorry for the pic.)

Oh, a reboot! Hey, can I join in the bandwagon?
Noctis Alegretto

Location: Starveil Academy - Nurse's Office
Interactions: Anne (@VitaVitaAR), Serrica (@Pyromania99)

He twitched his eyes as his consciousness finally returned to him. As he opened his eyes, he saw the roof, reminiscent of a nursery. He didn't look at the sides but was slowly regaining his place.

(D-Did I... fall unconscious?) He thought.

As he got up and sat on the bed (still not looking at his sides, mind you.), he looked at his hands and moved them, thinking he might have possibly escaped back to wherever he wanted to be, not the actual academy.

(Wait... if I'm in a nursery right now... could it be that it was a dream after all? Was I falling unconscious the key for me to wake up?) He thought.

Noctis' Theme: Berry Berry Cue! (Counter:Side)

And then he finally looked at his sides. And the ones standing there weren't his mother, his brother, or any doctors. It was a nurse... Anne Marielle, the heroine... and Serrica Francesca Haldblum, one of the important characters in the story. What this all meant? That he never left Starveil Academy, and was now surrounded by three of the game's biggest characters... as if being one himself wasn't enough.

"A-Ah... hahaha! I-I'm so sorry for the blunder back at the entrance, I was... just in so much shock for actually being in the a-academy and... t-to start studying that I fell blank... hehe, you know... it happens..." He said.

This was his best attempt to be... well, himself. Or who he was right now. After such a slip-up like falling unconscious and probably creating an event that never, ever happened in-game, he had to buckle up and try his very best to not commit these sorts of slip-ups again, for as long as he can to actually survive his new life.

"I-In any case, I'm... o-once again, I'm sorry for the trouble. This isn't how I wanted the year to start, I swear." He said.
