Hah, okay! Looks like we're all headed to the sepulcher, at least.
Or, well, maybe. God only knows what's going to happen now that Mordecai and Rhiannon have run off, and I'm sure the rest will follow. Probably just delay it a bit.

Meanwhile, when I do post, I'll give you something interesting to deal with. :D.

As a side note... do you guys think we should skip the whole "inner wall" thing for the sake of streamlining progression, or should we stick to the historically accurate interpretation and give them another night before they break into the inner city?
True! I suppose if they reject the idea of such gifts, then he might be in trouble.
Trrruuueee. I guess it would depend on if he could convince the accusing party that he's legit.
Welcome aboard! Everything seems to be in order~ given the nature of your character, however, you might have to wait until Jerusalem falls to be able to join us.

Initially the plan was, as far as I know, that we were going to escape the city during the siege and recapture it later, possibly alongside the Fatimid relief force. I would say that creates a large conflict of interest for Gudmund. But now we're apparently hiding instead of fleeing and everyone but Marduk is Christian, and Mordecai is the only Christian who isn't native to Europe! So I have no earthly idea what we're going to be doing and he fits the general demographic of the group just fine.

Interestingly, we're now up to 3 out of 5 characters in our party who could be tried and executed for witchcraft. And a fourth, of course, who's a heretic.
And then there's Mordecai, whose only real issue is that he might or might not speak Arabic, and that doesn't even matter since the Europeans are going to win the siege.

By the way. We're all using Latin as a common tongue for simplicity's sake. Because otherwise Rhiannon speaks Welsh, Hayate speaks Norman French, Mordecai speaks Hebrew, and Marduk speaks Arabic.
At the time I wrote that, there were like four extra people who were going to join but they never showed up! So sure, we can take in some new blood. The RP's already started, but that's not a big deal~ :3
xD. well, that was unexpected! Do you want us to follow after Rhiannon, or do you want her to meet up with the group on her own?
Oh, yeah. Something that I thought I would address before we got any further; I know a lot of GM's differ in this regard so I figure I should mention! You're all more than welcome to introduce your own NPCs and direct events if you see an opportunity to do so. A story told together is all the better for it, after all! Just... don't introduce an NPC if you won't have the time to write for him. I reserve the right to take action if they threaten to derail or stall out the RP! Not that I suspect that'll be necessary. ^^.
Hah, nice! I've got to say that this recent Poland was my best yet - admittedly the only game I've played so far where I looked like I might be 'winning' by any meaningful definition of the word. Usually I conquer my first kingdom and and within a decade get assassinated and lose everything to gravelkind or a last-minute swing in the elective monarchy. I usually don't have the patience to try to re-conquer the kingdom unless my heir retains a solid claim and the successor is relatively weak.

I'm still learning the game though! Which is something, considering I've already dumped like 80 hours into it.

My biggest stumbling block is definitely succession. Every time I my king dies, my heir is at like -100 with everybody (and often -200+ with the biggest duchies, just for good measure). Then it's a flood of rebellions that I can only put down if I empty my coffers into mercenary armies.
The succession for the united kingdoms of Poland, Pomerania, and Lithuania cost me nearly 2,000 gold in mercenary fees.

On the upside, my first king had like 15,000 score by the time he died. Ironically, more prestige than the Holy Roman and Byzantine Empires combined. I have no freaking idea why. Maybe they broke a lot of truces or something. Then again, the average lifespan of their rulers was like ten years.
Nah mate, it was my post during that time. :P

I spent the last two days waging a holy war for the unification of the Kingdom of Lithuania (under, of course, the flag of Poland!).
...Then my King died at the ripe old age of 90 and I spent the next 40 years quelling rebellions with an incompetent ruler and a whole lot of foreign conquest penalties. I was just getting my kingdom under control again and trying to breed a more suitable heir, who was planned to go on to take a bite out of the Holy Roman Empire in about thirty years' time, and I managed to accidentally delete my save. D:

I finally got around to posting! I kinda lost track of what I wanted to do with that post. I was going to start the southern attack and put in something about Marduk realizing he was separated from his master and his, for lack of a better term, boyfriend. But then I got distracted with the rioting and when I got around to mentioning his relations I realized that he would probably have a lot better luck fighting his way through the crowd than Mordecai did, and then we'd be stuck running all around Jerusalem making up excuses as to why we're not picking up either one of them.
