Lena

@Silen Syanka
Lena blinked in surprise, looking over to see a Naga. He was definetly different than any Naga she'd ever seen. She considered pretending not to have seen him and swimming away so she could avoid conversation, but she knew that would be very rude. "H-hello," She said quietly, a light blush appearing on her cheeks. Lena forced herself to look at him instead of at the ground, which of course made her blush deepen. Strangers made her the most nervous, so she was shocked she had gotten this far. At least she hadn't tried to hide. That had crossed her mind, but she knew that would only embarrass her father.
Lena

@Silen Syanka
It was a beautiful day, the sun shining brightly, not a cloud in sight. Lena had been unable to resist. The young mermaid was currently laying on her favorite rock, soaking up the sunlight. The rock was close to the shore, but it was big and slanted. It hid her from view from the land–the only way anyone would be able to see her was if they swam out into the sea. The water was calm, lapping lazily at the bottom of the rock. She knew she couldn't stay for much longer, her parents would be very upset if they knew what she was doing, and being in the sun too long could be dangerous. She inhaled one last breath of that warm salty air, closing her eyes momentarily. She then pushed off from the rock, diving into the ocean. Her skin tingled as the cool water surrounded her. She began to swim, putting her arms forward to help her go faster. After a while, Lena met a dolphin. She had studied dolphin, and learned how to speak in their language. It was quite useful, especially if you were in need of a quick ride. She chatted with the creature for a few minutes before asking if she could get a ride. Then she was on her way, holding onto its fin. It pushed through the water like it was air, and they were soon to her destination. She thanked it, waving as it swam off. She was in a meadow of seagrass, the perfect place to find shells and human treasures. She swam into an opening, her gaze searching the ocean floor beneath her. The swaying plants tickled her skin as she swam carefully through, but she paid it no attention. The mermaid was completely unaware of Krill, too focused on trying to find something.

Lena is rather shy, and doesn't talk much. She is very gentle, which is often taken advantage of. She isn't particulary the best at standing up for herself, and has a difficult time saying "no". She loves the company of sea-creatures more than the company of mer-people, and has a dangerous fascination of humans. She believes there is good in everyone's heart—no matter how evil. She is an optimist, and always tries to look at the positive side of things. She is also quite the romantic. There are many mermen that are interested in her because of her beauty, and her parents are desperate to marry her off, but that is the one thing she knows how to refuse. Lena wants to fall in love in her own time–to the frustration of her parents—thus staying away from mermen who want to marry her. Many see her as an airhead because she seems to always be out of it. The simple solution to that is she daydreams, quite a lot. She is actually quite smart and philosophical, just no one bothers to get to know her that well to see that.

Lena has a pretty heart-shaped face, her features soft and delicate. Her skin tone is a light shade of olive. She has big, clear, blue eyes, and thick eyelashes. Lena is average height, and has an hour-glass figure. Her arms are slender, yet slightly toned. She has round shoulders which connect to a rather elegant-looking neck. Her tail is a coral color–more orange than pink—and is often decorated with seaweed. Her fin is similar in shape and appearance to a Red Stripe Rockfish's fin, and has hints of dark orange throughout it. She mostly makes her own shells to wear, which often have pearls encrusted in them. Lena has long, elbow-length black hair, that frames her face and naturally waves when dry.

Lena was born into a family of high-class mermaids, who all expected her to be just like them—proper, popular, and very snooty. To their dismay, Lena was none of those things. She was quiet and polite, but did not socialize very well. Her fascination with humans was also quite the embarrassment. When she became 15, they hoped to find a wealthy suitor to marry her off to. No luck there, either. Everytime they set up a date with one, she managed to disappear. Now, at age 16, her parents are beginning to worry they'll never get rid of her. Their family has but one magic heirloom–a conch shell–but it is lost, and rumored to be destroyed. The reason for this is many Aristilles have searched for it, but it has never been found. That seems to be the simplest conclusion, and almost everyone has accepted it.

Cold. If there is one word that describes the Queen the best, it would be cold. She seems to be void of all feeling. If you see her staring at you, it most likely means she is analyzing you. She is not afraid to share her opinion, and is well-known for her sharp tongue. She is very strict, mainly with her son. Negotiating with her is near impossible, especially if she is well set on something. Think she would be more warm towards her family? Wrong. She is even more cold towards them than anyone else. There are even rumors she has a separate room from the King's where she sleeps. Most will even go as far as to say they are afraid of her, which is probably quite reasonable. She has a strong presence, which matches her straight-forward, strong personality. Humor is something she absolutely hates, and no one as seen her truly smile for years. Her smile for the public is more like a grimace. She only does so when she absolutely has to. She refuses to be called anything else but "My Queen", or "Your Majesty". Calling her by her name, Alise, would be a very big mistake. She has quite the temper, but knows how to control it. Sometimes.

The Queen is tall and slender, which is the way she has always been. She has sharp features, with high cheek bones and a slightly pointed chin. Lines from years of worry and stress are etched into her face, making her seem older than she actually is. She has dark brown eyes that are in fact so dark, they almost look black. Her eyelashes are hardly visible, being tan colored. They almost blend in with her rather pale skin. She has freckles around her nose and lightly by her eyes, but they are mostly on her arms. She has long, waist-length, blonde hair that has natural brown streaks all through it. Even though she is relatively young, grey hairs can be seen if close enough. Her hair is always pulled back into some tight hair-do when in public. She is always seen standing straight, shoulders back. Her movements always seem quite stiff, like something is hurting her when she walks. The Queen isn't exactly pretty, but you can tell she once was, when she was younger—and different. Even though she is no Aphrodite, her presence still demands that she be looked at. Looking her straight in those dark eyes can be a bit unnerving, as she will most likely give an almost murderous glare in return. But if you don't do so, she will be angered.

As a young girl, Alise was vibrant and full of life. She would always be seen smiling. She loved her parents, but struggled with her father quite a bit. When her mother died, everything slowly changed. Her father became even more bitter than before, and they constantly fought. Finally, her father couldn't stand it anymore, and he married her off at the age of 17. She never saw her father again.
