Current I hope everybody had a good Christmas. Here's hoping nothing else goes wrong during this last week of the year.

I should get an avatar again. Feeling like something Pokemon related because of Sun and Moon. But what one to get?

Bio

Not much to say. I usually look at interest checks instead of making my own, and I prefer original works to fandom, though I do have some I wouldn't mind trying. I prefer casual, but I am willing to do advanced. My schedule can be erratic, but I'll try to let you know about stuff ahead of time if something delays me more than a day. I don't mind conversations, though I'm not good at starting them. Anyway, whoever you may be, I hope you're having a nice day/night.

He had seen Metalics work before, but never up close like this. It was something interesting to behold. He nearly jumped when she recognized him Uh oh. Is this someone I met and forgot...? but then she mentioned his sister and he nodded. "Fei is a very curious girl. She's obsessed with trying to find out how all the elementals work. If she put some of that effort into practicing her own techniques, she'd be a weaver by now." He said jokingly. He then bowed a little to show some respect since she was the one who fixed things up for the most part. "Excellent work, Miss Pike. It's looks like it's brand new. The name's Drew, by the way." he said, putting his own name on as an afterthought.

It was then Raven gave his little report. "Underground travel? Fanatics and more monsters? Just when we were done with the beasts here..." he grumbled. Still, they had fought off a bunch of ferocious beasts and made quick repairs. What was the worst some unofficial mages were going to do? After enduring the storm, Drew figured everything else was going to be... well, not easy, but at least easier. "We can handle this, right?" he said to Vanahara, not even waiting for an answer before he stepped off to go meet with the others.

It took some time, but he managed to get to Raven, Alexander, Silvana, Horatio and the others. "So... care to go into a little detail about our path? I can get the underground thing, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around invisible terrain. Maybe it's because I'm literally outside my element, but I can't see how even the storm could cause something like that."

Actually caught up.
Drew nodded, walking over to the pipe. "Yes, ma'am." he said, glad to have a task he could handle. He took a deep breath, then exhaled through his nostrils, feeling the air move down near his hands. He started moving his hands to warm up before wiggling his fingers to feel the motion, slowly moving them towards the steam. It did not scald him because none of it came into contact with him, instead splitting into two streams of hot air when his hand approached.

He made it spin around for a bit, happy to play around with the heated water so he could properly redirect it into the pipe, making it function like normal. "Okay! Ready to go!" As he waited for the metal to seal, he decided to actually try and socialize. Not the best situation, but he knew he wouldn't try it again once things were calm. "So... what's your name, miss?"
Drew flinched. He didn't really think his question through. He just smiled nervously, glad to get the answers he did but willing to let the point drop. Instead, he whistled when he saw Vana's handiwork. He didn't know it was her specifically, he he knew it had to be an elemental. He was glad to see someone display such talent. But that just meant he had to chip in. He walked over to some of the chunks of ice. Rather than dislodge them and toss them aside, he started to melt it and shape it like clay, freezing it in place again. It wasn't as thick as it could be, but someone else could reinforce it.

Then the shouts came. He gulped, feeling the back of his head flare up in pain. Efficiency was needed here and he had no idea what actually needed to be done. "Hey!" he shouted to the Metalic, hoping his volume would make up for lack of direction. "Metalworker! Is there anything that urgently needs a Hydromancer?" he had to start learning names soon.
sorry for the delay as well. I was waiting for one person to respond, then it just slipped my mind and then irl stuff and so on...

also, dang that's some nice art.
Drew froze. It was an unusual thing. He was used to just lurking around and listening in unnoticed. Were he a more malicious man, he could use that to his advantage. But instead he was content to just get information. It was clear neither the soldier nor the newcomer were actually going to give him anything to work with. Besides, he should probably get back to helping around the ship. Maybe see Alexander about that bump he took...

But that could come later. "Staying with the ship? I gotta admit... it's tempting. You lead a fascinating craft. I might not be the engineer that some of the mages here are, but I can appreciate fine workmanship. It certainly has its aesthetic strong points." he then turned around to try and predict Raven's movements so he could walk with him. If he didn't, he'd just turn around again and resume speaking in place. "As for the storm thing... it's a gift. I'm not exactly the greatest when it comes to water, but I feel more in touch with the winds. I can feel the moisture flow all around me and you. It has a lovely flow, really. And I can take advantage of that to make the bolts you saw."

He then thought of the storm they were in. "This certainly is something fierce. Tell me something: does it ever become less impressive?" he still couldn't believe the sight of it up close. "It was always there, but witnessing it firsthand... perhaps this is what it is like to be a normal human and see an elemental for the first time."
