Shaine rummaged through some rubble and grabbed a long stick that had been peeking out. It appeared to be unnatural to the surroundings so he assumed it to be what the old man was searching for. He tapped the end of the stick against the blind man’s arm and spoke quietly, “I think this is yours?”

When the old guy with the thing on his wrist mentioned the Enclave, the squire’s interest was suddenly piqued. He mumbled some things the boy couldn’t quite hear, but he did pick up on the need for safety.

The kid stepped out into the street and looked westward to the roiling green clouds in the distance as they flared up with bright yellow tinted lightening. He looked over the group of people and clenched his hand tightly around the holotags around his neck.

Finally he pulled a paper from one of his pouches and unfolded it slowly. He held it up for the old mumbling man to see, “I have a map of the town and outlying areas…”

He looked at the paper for a moment and held it out again, tapping a finger against a random building on the page, “It has building details...floors, basements, roof accesses…”

Having these people with him would be a great idea since he and Alex were supposed to have been cleaning the raiders out of the town and they were most likely still around...somewhere. He couldn’t handle raiders on his own and they would probably be hunkered down in any decent shelter from the oncoming storm.
i'm here! i'll post after i get a little sleep... :)
oh noes! a rad storm!
this'll be fun....
Ren's fake name took some thought. Like, about half an hour of thinking.

lol i love it.
He finished, the arm making an odd clicking sound unlike anything he had heard before, he really hoped he hadn't severed any blood vessels in her upper arm like he had when he performed this procedure on an old Scavver buddy of his. Poor bastard had to have it amputated after it turned blue n' shit. He recollected with a frown, moving his hands back to his side so he could push off the ground to his feet. "Is it feeling alright? Can you move it again?" He asked, focusing extra hard as he began to feel light headed from standing too fast. And from losing all that blood,... you fucking moron. His brain reminded him, it was damn sure being an asshole today.

this made me giggle...especially that last bit.
my brain can be a bitch sometimes, too....LOL
either one of these two could do a post right now ^_^ both....

@Athoriel

@R0bE0

i don't think Shaine is in any condition to help the old man out of the tub without hurting himself....so sorry if it looked like i was just standing there over him amused at his folly.

@Tahlon OMG it is hilarious to me that any type of courser fell into a tub clumsily!!! it's like....watching a terminator trip and fall....i nearly choked on my water at the image.

side note: i cuss like a sailor....writing for a little kid who does NOT cuss is difficult.

-HOLEY MOLEY!-
Shaine gave a little gasp and picked himself up clumsily off the stranger. He nervously dusted off his jacket, for all the good it would do, and spoke sheepishly, “Um...sorry, sir. I didn’t mean to--”

He spun around as the old man’s hand reached from the tub and yanked the stake from the beast’s eye with a disgusting sucking sound.

Holey moley! The old man was still alive!

The squire moved to the tub and peered inside at the man, “Hey, mister, are you okay?”

As the adrenaline started to subside once again, for the fourth time today, Shaine was starting to feel very sore and very exhausted. His hands trembled slightly, his head throbbed, his back hurt in various bruised places, and the burn on his thigh stung with an intense pain that hurt more than anything ever…and he once had a broken arm. This was so much worse.

Suck it up, soldier!

I don't know how many people we should get to before I decide to say, "No Longer Accepting"

depends on if we all stay in one group or branch off in smaller groups...i think. maybe for now you should close it...then reopen it later as needed?

i am happy with this group so far :)
Well, you said we couldn't be Wanderer or the Sole Survivor, but what about the Chosen One?

I have this image in my head of an old man who has seen too much over the years, lost too many friends and fought too many battles. It's been 40 years since his adventures and so called glory days. His age has severely affected his fighting abilities, eyesight and even worldview. He's either sold or lost most of his high tech gear between the years and has just arrived to the Boston area with a barely working Gauss Pistol and a simple duster over his old vault suit. In other words I'm asking if I could take an old man from the West for one more ride?

how does the group feel about this idea?
