Apologies for my absence. I was really hit hard with a lot of piled on hellish essays... And these finals. I haven't had time to do much of anything. I will be much more active in the future, starting now, but with this, and the added pressure of work, I have barely had time to sleep.
@Reprobasilisk

Oh okay. I uh. Let me know if a spot opens up. I'm really interested honestly. *bows* Thank you for the time.

I will definitely let you know. Thanks for your interest.

If a spot opens up, let me know :)

Same goes for you. Thanks.

The only thoughts I really had were of having my character's clan live in a fairly forested area close to the mountains and they do a lot of mining and hunting. Because of their limited water supplies and due to the fact that the land isn't ideal for farming, they have to trade with other clans for fish and crops. The weather is usually fairly cold and rainy and they're used to wearing heavy furs and leathers. I was also thinking of having them worship a single higher being. Loyalty and honor is hugely important to them and they're fairly proud people which makes seeking help from others difficult for them. They used to be well known for their military prowess and their secure location at the mountains had always seemed to keep them strong until they were overrun by the barbarians and it became their downfall. They were trapped against the mountains and because the lack of conflict had lessened their need for a large, strong army, the majority of their people were slaughtered and those that could escape had no choice but to abandon their home and run for their lives.

For my character, I had wanted to make her fairly headstrong. She's completely devoted to her people and will do whatever it takes to ensure they're safe and strong, even if that means doing some not necessarily nice things to get there. She can be manipulative and prideful but her heart is in the right place. She likely wont be too pleased with the arrangement of the marriage but she'll do her best to work the situation to her advantage.

Obviously I have a lot to work on and come up with a good history, but these are a few things I had in mind. That being said, if anyone feels like anything I've mentioned doesn't work or will clash with their own ideas, just let me know and I'll change it :)

I'll also be away all day tomorrow so I won't get a chance to work much more on this until Sunday. Hope that's alright and sorry if I'm slowing things down.

Looking forward to creating this world with you all :D

I like both the basic description of your character, and your clans history. I will continue to build a character sheet skeleton, if all goes well, everything will be up and running tonight. I'm certainly excited to see how all of this works out.

O_O

I-i-is there still space?

I wish there was. I'm afraid the three female spots are taken. I would love to add a fifth character, I just don't know how well that would work out. I'm concerned if we added a fifth it might overcomplicate things. But if it's someone everyone else would like, I could possibly be persuaded.

Okay wonderful :) PMs are fine with me. I think you might be right with that. I will no doubt have many more questions for you but for now I'm happy to just get brainstorming. I'll keep you all updated on anything I come up with so that things aren't too similar or too different. This is going to be fun. I'm really excited for this :D

Sounds good ;), perhaps you could start a PM, and discuss your questions with me there when they arise?. And thanks, I'm excited for this too.

Yay! I am so excited! :) And if you both already have some character ideas I will wait to see them before I start working on mine. ^-^

Thank you. ^.^. I don't know about Dearest, but it might day me a day or so to finish it. (The character sheet should be up tonight.) Also, the same question to you, do think we should start this in PM, or on a thread?.
I would certainly be interested :)

Accepted ;).

Count me in. This type of setting is one of my favorites. I got an idea of an icy character which popped out of my mind. I reckon this is a vast world you are making?

I'm excited to see how she turns out. The old world they came from, was in fact significantly smaller than this one.

So, I have a few questions so I can get to work creating a culture/history for my character's clan, if I'm accepted that is. Would the clans ever have dealt with any kind of dangerous creatures before moving to this new land? Or is everything mostly new to them? And is there specific things you had in mind for each clan or anything that you would want us to include?

All three of you are accepted. And great, I was thinking we could talk to each other, so our clans histories are intertwined?. They have not really faced any of these creatures themselves, as their ancestors saw just a small portion these as beasts of chaos on their lands, and most generations before slew all the creatures which could not be tamed. They thought it would appease the gods. Lastly, hmm. I would request, that due to the location of each of the "four pillars" their cultures would differ somewhat dramatically. Warfare tactics, secrets of trade, agriculture, etc.

I'm going to brainstorm my clans history/culture, and I'll give all three of you some time to do the same. When I finish making the character sheets, would you three prefer this in PM?, I don't know if we can include as manny mature theme son a public post as I'd like, but correct me if I'm wrong. Finally, do any of you have any more questions you need me to answer?.
The great, and diverse continent of Aeqen has witnessed mankind rise exponentially from it's savage, and lowly beginnings. It marvelled at the ancient giants known as “Earth Tumblers” and their carving of primitive cities into mountainsides, It witnessed the great warlord Tyreas establishing a common law, paving the way to civility. But that archaic knowledge is now nearly forgotten, seemingly useless in this time and age. Few have learned from history, and it has repeated itself once more. Four clans have ruled these fruitful lands for several lifetimes. Each utilized a corner of the expansive land, prospering on their resources. Their forebears thought their holds unshakable, this mindset was passed down throughout the ages, and it remained unchallenged, until recent. Far beyond the darkness of the Ashen Wilds, there lay a land, thought to be uninhabitable, the outlaws who had not committed crimes punishable by death, were banished. Sent to die off in the barrens. But unexpectedly, the outlaws did not perish, but instead thrived, growing stronger with each passing generation, hidden in the wilds, waiting to strike. The four clans supported the land, such as pillars, and because they were bound to peace, the threats were few, and this weakened them. Then time ran out. Thousands upon thousands of barbaric warriors poured from the forests, they burnt villages to the ground, raped, pillaged, and enslaved those who survived. The forces of each of these kingdoms paled in comparison, a fatal mistake. Royal sons valiantly charged into battle, only to expire, heirs to broken thrones, lost forever. The remaining populations of these kingdoms fled, having no choice but to sail from their homes, together. Their rule had finally ended.

Five years have passed. The four kingdoms have merged into one, each brought with them, posterity, and the secrets of their people. Three of the elderly parents have perished, the rest are close, and they lack in heirs, particularly male heirs. The oldest male is nineteen years of age, the rest are years younger, or dead. The remaining leaders decided to bind the clans by marriage, though it is surely an odd one. To ensure each house has a spot in the council, they decide to wed this male heir, to the eldest female heir of each remaining house. All of them given a fourth of the say in the ruling of this kingdom. It is decided this is the only way they will remain bound. The four of them despise this arrangement. The land they have settled seems to be an entirely different world than the one they belonged to. This land is governed by savage gods, powerful beasts, and all manner of people. Now they have nearly finished the construction of their stunning kingdom, a new age has begun. But they are inexperienced, their cultures differ, treachery burns deep within the heart of the newfound kingdom, and their people struggle to find unity. They strive to expand their claim, but first they must survive long enough to support their own.

I hope you enjoyed reading this. Now, as I said in the title, I am looking for three literate, active females, who can help me create an immersive experience. I request that you are able to help me come up with your unique clans saga, culture, etc. I’ve never attempted anything like this before, but to me at least, it seems like such a fun, unique experience. I can guarantee, considering the fact that I will be playing the only male role, your characters will be actively involved. It would contain violence, gore, swearing, and sex, but I would like it to be story driven as well.
