Winnifred listened to the sprite's instructions as the group arrived at their destination. She tucked some hair behind her ear and double checked that her revolver was loaded, ready to fire whenever she spotted her target. She looked around the town and studied her surroundings, keeping her eyes open for the sign of anything amiss. The sound of a sudden car horn startled her and she flinched slightly, whipping around to see the car before regaining her composure a second later. "South of town... Corn fields south of town, got it." she mumbled to herself after listening to driver of the car. Winnifred looked back at her allies and gave a brief nod, saying, "Well, sounds to me like we know where to look first, eh? With any luck, we'll have this thing taken care of in record time." She started walking in the direction that the driver had indicated, trying to spot the corn fields.

Okay, see you in a bit Zeroth! Oh, but when you get back, I think you forgot to mention Haruka in the cockatrice hunt, she was joining us for that too. (Unless I just missed her name and you did mention her, in which case my bad.)

About to post for the Blighted Woods group. For the Cockatrice Hunt group, do you guys want me to describe the rural town you'll be going to, or do you want to do it yourselves?

I'm also fine with either, though I'm pretty bad with describing locations. xD So depends on what the rest of the group wants, I say. Oh, and my internet suddenly disconnected for a while last night. I think it's fine now, but it might do it again so just a warning that I might disappear briefly at some point. Hopefully not though, or at least not for too long.

Winnifred made her own trip to the armory to fetch what she'd require for the mission. Not a terribly long list by any means, as a firearm, a revolver specifically, and ammunition were the biggest priorities of course. Following it was her favored combat outfit. Thick clothing that was lightly armored for the sake of not sacrificing any mobility, topped off with boots and protective gloves. Once she had her gear ready, she made her way to the teleporter room to meet with her allies. "Alright, I'm ready," she announced as she walked in and saw the others. "And I'm assuming you're all ready to go too?" She was a little nervous about taking on a creature capable of turning her and her teammates to stone as her first assignment of the school year, but tried not to let that fact show in the way she spoke or the way she carried herself as she walked. With the team setup as it was, Winnifred figured things would end up more or less alright.

"Yeah, I was there," Winnifred replied, accepting the handshake from the boy who had suddenly spoke to her. "Didn't get there till the match ended, but oh well. Anyway, yeah, we were just talking about that assignment. Glad to have you on board if it means we don't get turned to stone, heh." Just as soon as Winnifred had finished speaking, another girl approached asking to join as well. "Fine with me. That'll give us four so far, huh? Name's Winnifred. Oh, and I'm a sniper. How about you two?" Winnifred was noticing by now after the sudden approach of these two that the cockatrice hunt really was popular after all. Of course Winnifred wasn't going to object to a full or near-full team.

"Hmm, maybe. Still, it might be a good idea to get one or two more people, you know?" Winnifred replied to Rian, giving it a few moments of thought. "I for sure wouldn't mind some a chance to get some extra rewards, but it can't hurt to have some extra helping hands. More safety in numbers and all that." Winnifred began looking around the crowd for any other students who may still be picking out their assignments or teams. "Of course," she added, "I'm fine with it being just the two of us if no one else does end up wanting to join us."

So let's see, Ryouta, Winnifred, and Rian in one group from the looks of it and John, Hayato, and Soka in another so far, right? And then I think the last few characters are still picking teams and assignments. Or am I missing anyone who's already decided?

Winnifired stared in wide-eyed shock with a grimace forming on her face as a brief fistfight suddenly erupted in the crowd of people. She hadn't been able to hear what conversation had started it, she simply saw the red-headed girl throw a punch and end up hitting the... same boy she'd done quite the number to in the match yesterday, apparently. Winnifred was about to step in and say something to try and stop things, though she wasn't exactly sure what she was supposed to say in a situation like that, but it seemed that the small incident died down as quickly as it started anyway. In fact, it seemed like discussions about the assignments had resumed like normal. Well, more or less normal. Winnifred sighed, letting the incident pass. She looked back at the cleric, and studied the cockatrice assignment details again. "Well... I wonder just how many people are looking at this one," she said.
