When she woke up, Rachel couldn’t remember where she was, let alone what had happened the night before. This wasn’t unusual. Rachel had never been a morning person. Every day began with a good twenty minutes to an hour in a foggy cloud of dazed confusion. What was unusual was that once she dragged herself out of the bed and into the shower, and the grogginess was washed away, the memories didn’t come back. When Rachel thought back to what happened last night, it seemed to cut off with a walk in the park.

There was one other unusual thing, which Rachel didn’t notice until the shower woke her up and she began getting dressed. Around her wrist was a bracelet she had never seen before, gold with what looked like a pearl set in it. The strange thing about the bracelet was that it was perfectly fit to her wrist, with no way of getting it on or off.

”It’s really pretty, but… how did it get there? And what exactly is it? I think I saw a movie once where had a bomb stuck to them like this! What if-

Rachel stopped herself. Her roommate, Sarah, had told her she had a habit of jumping to strange conclusions. In fact, Sarah would probably know what to make of this! Rachel decided she’d ask her for help, but first, it was time to get some breakfast.
Sorry again for taking so long. I haven't had the most productive weekend, but I do plan to get something up tonight.
Not so fast!

Name: Rachel Whiteley
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Title: Princess Astra
Class: Archer of Pearl
Personality: Toward most people, Rachel is generally shy and reserved. To those who know her, though, she is almost excessively open. Having grown up sheltered, she’s spoiled, but also idealistic, and believes in always trying to do the right thing.
History: Rachel grew up with wealthy parents who could always give her whatever she asked for. However, she was quick to grow bored, never satisfied with her sheltered life. Since she was young, Rachel always wished she could go on some grand adventure. When she grew up, Rachel left for college with hopes that leaving home would bring the excitement into her life she always craved. Before long, though, she found herself settled into yet another routine, just wishing for something to happen.

Sorry that took so long!
Sorry for not responding! I'm still in, I'll try and get a CS up tonight or tomorrow.
I like to think of the time between those posts as a long, indignant, and unnecessary "You can't tell me what to do!"

But yeah, I just like seeing the most self-serious characters surrounded by people who don't take them seriously. I also like the idea of a really heroic character surrounded by cynics, with every grand heroic act met with scoffs and eye-rolls.
I do have a soft spot for broody loners, but that's not the kind of character I want for this RP. Got something started, though! Taking time to get it fleshed out/ make sure I don't start to hate it before I post anything.
Hopefully the woods survived you!

Have to say, I'm having a (predictably for me) hard time coming up with a character. The only clear idea I've got is that I'm leaning toward someone with either a bow or a shield. Still here though, and figured I'd actually say something.
I'm still on board! I figured I'd keep waiting, since the GM had been posting a bit slow-ish already, but it has been a while...
Same for me. I just had to know, or visions of what could have been would haunt my thoughts for the rest of my life. They would chase me, taunt me, even in my dreams, with only death providing the peace I have long forgotten...

That is, it would've bugged me a bit.
I agree. I'm pretty sure I want to stick with the MG one, but I'm curious enough to hear your other idea.
