Bio: James Dawkins has been serving under the police force for quite a while. With his calm, yet brash attitude, many criminals know he likes to do things the hard way, not the easy way. With this growing reputation as a bad cop, James still carries a soft spot for those in trouble, whether it maybe an innocent civilian or one of his friends. However, his greatest weakness may be in his ego, always willing to pick a fight with any opponent he comes across.
I would like to join this roleplay! Is there any specific place we should place our characters?
I hate it when people say, "Oh, roleplaying is for little kids! Anyone can make up a story!"

True, anyone can make a story, but, there are some people that can make really good stories.
To tell you the truth, I wasn't really into writing at a young age. I was brought up by every rich, smart, family's; get good grades, go to a famous college, join academic clubs that give you college credit. Back then, I really didn't have anything else to do, so, like a good, obedient little child, I complied. All my life was spent wasting away on homework assignments, projects, chess meets, and essay writing. Most of my life, I never seen a concert, never attended a football game, or any other of the activities people would call "Normal". To them, I was just "The Smart Guy with No Life."

How did I keep myself occupied? It was either behind a book, or my computer.

To be honest, reading had its benefits. Nowadays, people just tend to sit behind their phones, searching up test answers on Google, or busily Instagraming with their BFFs. Yet, when they pick up a book, they hold it in their hands as if they picked up a part of the remains of the Terra Cotta Army. To them, who needs a book when you've got the Internet? Yet, despite all the information the Internet provides, they cannot compare to the necessity of books. Y'see, Google wasn't magically bestowed upon us by the Flying Spaggetti Monster. Humans had to create it themselves. How did they get the information to make the instructions? Books. Where could they find the instruction to create the necessary algorithms for a search engine? Books. From the start, where did they learn the trades they needed to accomplish this task? BOOKS. What I learned from those massive amounts of texts shuffled into small, musty pages was the history of the world. Mathematics, Science, Politics, Law and Justice: all crammed into huge textbooks and volumes. When others were busy on their phones, I was the one learning "real" information from those books nobody would read. We humans pride ourselves in learning what we can from about the universe, but the only way we can start is through reading a good book.

But, books can only take us so far. Technology has adapted to suit our needs, leaving the Old Ages obsolete. So, in order to survive, I had to change along with the times. But, with this change, came something greater. I wanted to prove to the world what I could do. I wanted to show them a vision grander than the heavens, one that will instill inspiration into the hearts of many beings in this world. This was one of the reasons I decided to take up writing. And, nothing could be better than to start with making a story nobody will forget.

But, why writing? What possible story could you make that is louder than action?

Actions have always been defined as the strongest form of expression. But it is the words behind the action that beget the necessary motivation to initiate such action. Great authors: Tolkien, Pucci, Collins, Rowling, Aesop, Aristotle, Montesquieu, Verne, Dickens, Twain, Dumas, Martin. All of these men have created sagas of stories that last on towards the ages. And, now, it is up to us writers to keep those ideas alive through our own creations; because, there is no action powerful than the creation of one idea.

Who am I?

A writer.
Hello! I am the Devil and The Dragon, and I am a new time user on this forum. For nearly three years, I have roleplayed across different forums, until I came across this one! My main passion on this website is writing great role plays that take the interest of certain people. Whether it may be big or small, I enjoy any kind! I take time with writing responses and looking at the plot lines, and, I always put my best effort into working to create an extravagant story!

I can't wait to meet you all soon! Here's to great roleplays in the future!
