Other, sort of NPC type characters that I may include in this if Alais ever gets her own "resolve yo shit" storyline:

Alais de Royeaux finished her song, her voice leaving a ringing musical note hanging in the air, and the crowd clapped, murmuring amongst themselves. The marionettes that she had been directing finished their little dance along with the song and she made them bow to the applauding audience and was rewarded by a few more coins dropping into the bowl that she had left on the ground in front of her. She stood and bowed herself as the crowd began to move along, and stooped to count her earnings.

A measly few hundred jewel, she sighed in disappointment, sitting back on the upturned box that she'd been using as a stage. She thought about her time in Fiore, so far, as she stowed her little marionettes away in her pack and collected the small amount of change. Street performing hadn't been as lucrative as she'd hoped it would be and, with the reemergence of Wizard's Guilds, there wasn't much call for freelance Mage's anymore. People seemed to prefer to trust a guild rather than a random Mage such as her.

Guilds... As Alais thought of them, she looked up at the building at stood over the others of Magnolia, Phoenix Wing. She remembered when she'd first seen the building from a distance, two days ago, as she'd rode into town on the back of a wagon. To her the building looked resplendent, one of the most beautiful buildings she'd ever seen. She looked down at the paltry sum of coins in her hand and came to a decision. She gathered up her belongings and headed off towards the Guild hall.

Alais arrived at the guild's door to find them open and welcoming. A good sign, she thought. There were two people standing just inside the doorway, a young man with platinum blond hair and a dark haired woman. Alais arrived at the threshold of the doorway and glanced around at the interior of the hall, a little smile appearing on her face. She then returned her attention to to two people standing just inside, waiting expectantly for them to notice her.
Wait, has the time skip happened yet or not?
I'll post after the time skip maybe Alais can come in contact with Pheonix Wing after a Royeaux agent places a job request to capture a "wanted fugitive" who may be hiding in Fiore. Plot twist: the fugitive is Alais.
Just wondering where a good spot to jump in would be.
Alais shall join le Wing de Phoenix.
Name: Alais "Le Puppeteer" de Royeaux
Age: 17
Magic:
Magic Level: B

History: Alais was once the crown princess of Royeaux, a nation to the north east of Fiore. However when she was only an infant, her home nation was taken over in a bloody coup d'etat which left both her parents dead and the royal family of Royeaux in tatters. Alais survived the coup when she was spirited out of the royal palace by her nursemaid, a young woman who always delighted the baby girl with dancing marionettes.

Secretly, Alais' nursemaid was also a mage, tasked with guarding the young princess' life and she put those skills to use during their flight to safety, defending them from attackers and later using the skills as a freelance mage to keep them both fed and clothed. The woman never told Alais about her true parentage and Alais grew up believing the woman to be her mother.

As Alais grew, her fascination with her guardian's marionettes grew and she took up puppeteering herself. Eventually the woman also taught her the secrets of her magic and gave Alais her first Magic Puppet, Le Chevalier, which she said had always belonged to her, that she had just been holding it in trust for this moment. They began going on jobs together, becoming a mother/daughter team.

Things were going well until a job went unexpectedly awry and Alais' foster mother was fatally wounded protecting her. In her final moments, the woman bequeathed all of her puppets to Alais and told her about her past and her true identity. She urged Alais to always be wary of Royeaux assassins and to never return. With her final breath she urged Alais to live on and find good friends and a new life.

After burying the woman whom had been like a mother to her, Alais decided to honor her dying wish by travelling to Fiore, where word of the rebirth of Mages Guilds had spread. She decided to find one of these guilds and join up.

Personality: Alais is a happy young woman who is almost always smiling. However she is mildly distrustful of strangers, and it occasionally seems that her perpetual happiness is a mask for a deep sadness that she hides inside her.

I hope my entrance post was sullen and angsty enough for your liking, everyone.
The dark sedan skipped over a bump in the road as it pulled up to the gates of Yamaku Academy, the driver, a portly middle aged woman from the Child Protection Agency, distracted by her very one sided conversation with the two youths sitting in the back. Nozomi was too shy to provide the woman with any real diversion and Hakuya just flat out ignored her. He stared uncaringly out the car window, not even seeing the passing scenery, only turning his attention into the vehicle when his sister managed to muster the courage to say a few quiet words in response to the woman's endless verbal diarrhea. He would look at the girl sitting next to him and squeeze her hand reassuringly before returning his gaze to the window, his face falling back into the perpetual scowl that he wore so often nowadays.

Finally they had arrived and Hakuya stepped out of the sedan, not even waiting for the woman to open the door for them, and help his sister out. The first thing Nozomi noticed was the smell. They had grown up in the city and the clean mountain air of Yamaku was a jarring change, but a pleasant one. The social worker hurried them through the gates and towards the main buildings, making small exclamations about how nice the place looked and how she was sure they'd like it here. Hauya didn't care. As long as Nozomi was with him, her small hand clasped in his, he didn't care what kind of place the school was.

The hand over was all very rushed, papers signed and stamped, and then the woman was off back to her sedan as the twins were guided through the building by a faculty member whose name Hakuya had failed to take notice of. The staff member lead them up to the second floor, to a specific door and told them to wait there until their teacher, a man named Mutou, called for them to enter and introduce themselves. Faced with the prospect of standing up in front of a room full of strangers, Nozomi had quivered nervously and clutched her brother's arm. "H-Haku-nii, I don't want to do this..." She said uncertainly, staring with sightless eyes. Hakuya turned to his sister, his scowl giving way to a gentle smile as he placed a reassuring hand on her head, tousling her hair a little. "Don't worry Nozomi. just leave everything to me, ok?" The girl seemed be somewhat reassured by his words and they settled in to wait, the scowl once again clouding Hakuya's face as he stared at the opposite wall.
Once Mutou had handed out his assignments and assigned the groups, he stood staring at the mess of papers on his desk, feeling like he was forgetting something. He pushed some of the less relevant papers aside and found what he was looking for, the memory coming back to him the moment he glanced at the sheet. The memo informed him of the new transfer students that would be arriving today, and he'd let it slip his mind. With a sigh he coughed to get the classes attention and appologised for the interruption. "It slipped my mind before, but it seems that we'll be getting a few transfer students joining the class today. they're probably waiting outside now, so please be sure to make them feel welcome." He strolled over to the door and slid it open, finding two youths waiting outside, and beckoned for them to enter.

Hakuya squeezed his sister's hand to let her know it was time to move and lead her into the classroom, moving to stand at the front as the teacher directed. Nozomi couldn't see anyone, but she could feel all the eyes that were upon her and she stepped back, almost hiding behind her brother. "Please introduce yourselves." Mutou prompted after the silence had dragged on for a few seconds, and Hakuya looked out at the rest of the class, studying them with a baleful expression. Finally he cleared his throat and spoke, his tone curt and almost resentful, seemingly wanting to get through this a quickly as possible.

"My name is Kochizuki Hakuya. this is my sister, Kochizuki Nozomi. We're both sixteen years old." He turned to look at the teacher. "Is that all?" Mutou cleared his own throat a little awkwardly and nodded. "Yes that should be sufficient. Please take any free seats you can find and if you have any question, don't hesitate to ask your classmates." Hakuya didn't bother responding to this and simply lead Nozomi over to a pair of empty desks that were side by side. He gently helped her into one and dragged the other closer to her side before sitting down.
