Sorry for the delay. I had some family issues hit the fan one after another the past month and it all caught up. I'll knock out a post here, but then I won't be around until the weekend at least. I have a funeral on friday.
Evan scoffed. "Nobody else is gonna make me regret a thing," he replied skeptically before returning a confident grin of his own. Quebec? What'd they do, name everything after states? His hand slipped deeper into his left pocket, fiddling with a small object as Alex bounced around. "Actually, you go on. I'll catch you later, uhhh," Evan's voice trailed off in a show of forgetfulness. "Alex." He finished triumphantly, tapping a finger against the side of his head. "I got it. Later." He waved nonchalantly as she turned off towards the barracks. As she left, he pulled the his shades down the brim of his nose, peering over them before turning his own attentions to the surroundings as well.

It had been a long plane ride, to be certain. And even if he slept through half of it, he was still feeling the effects of being in a pressurized cabin so long. I'll nab a bed in a bit. I can smell the beach. He fished a cigarette from a pocket inside his jacket, and balanced it between his lips. He held his hands over the end to shield it from the wind shooting across the open tarmac. With a flick of his thumb it was lit, and almost immediately he felt a little calmer about everything.

It definitely smelled different out here than New York. Evan didn't even notice the odors anymore, but there was something to be said for fresh air and the sounds of surf around the island. He'd been told by others that the city smelled awful, and he idly wondered if he'd have to agree upon his return. And his thoughts drifted next to what else he might have to deal with upon going home. I had to take this chance. It was my way out.

Though he had intended to make it to the beach, Even stopped short at a tall building that stood on the way, splitting the otherwise peaceful landscape. Offices? Could be, but what do heroes need with offices? He took another long drag on his cigarette, only to realize he'd smoked it down to the filter. He hadn't noticed it burning against his first two fingers. Shoulders shrugging in a silent laugh, he dropped the filter and stamped it out against the ground.
Evan took a moment to look over his shoulder at Stefan and Samuel. These guys are superheroes? Man, what is this weak joke being played on me.... But then, Evan was no hero either. He just did what he could for his block. I just hope I'm back home before anybody realizes I'm out of town. He was growing more uncomfortable with the reality of the situation each second that passed.

"-Alex is fine, there's no need for the miss part..."

The voice pulled him from his thoughts. He turned back around. "Alex, huh? I'm uh," he trailed off, glancing around. He drew two quick breaths through his nose, and his eyes narrowed on Vince ever so briefly. The moment was nearly imperceptible before his attention turned back to Alex. "Uh, Evan," he finished, brushing his hand through his red and orange streaked hair. Dropping his arm to his side, he slid both hands into the pockets of his jeans. "So, man, what is the deal with this? Did G.I. Joe say what's going on?"
Evan ducked his head down as he stepped out from the plane, using his hand for support. He gazed out at the others spread out on the strip before throwing his arms up in the air. "Like, seriously? None of ya were gonna wake me up? That's real considerate-like," he shouted spitefully. Can't believe that plane ride was so smooth. Whole thing feels unreal. Shit, this looks like the set of some movie. He casually strode down the steps, taking in his flight companions for the first time. He hadn't been able to get a good look from where he'd been seated.

Crazy Ninja Dude, check. Neckbeard Nerd, check. Weirdo in a trenchcoat, check. Well, hell-o. His left eyebrow arched above his sunglasses. At least it wasn't a total boy's club. He broke his stare, noticing Hard Drive walking briskly from the tarmac. "So, uh, who was that? What'd I miss? C'mon, talk to me here!" After a pause, he turned his head towards Alexandria, flashing a sideways smile at her. "Hey there." The wink was lost behind the shades.
Name: Evan Adams
Alias: Fire Hazard
Age: 25
Appearance:
Personality: Evan Adams is brash and quick to action. He always keeps up a tough demeanor, refusing to look weak. His strength kept him alive in the Bronx, and it kept everybody in order. Things stayed smooth so long as the gangs respected him, maybe even feared him a little. He recognizes his powers are dangerous, hazardous, but he's convinced that's not a curse. They can be used for good, as long as he's cautious. By appearance, however, he's anything but. Adams knows he's powerful, so he's cocky and headstrong. It's difficult to give him a challenge he won't accept.

Powers:The exact nature of Adams' power is undetermined, but the effects are easy to see. His abilities allow him to manifest and control fires large and small, fashion flaming projectiles, and even cause explosions of various magnitudes. He's capable of moving at superhuman speeds, though not on par with the usual speedster profile. A dangerous skillset, to be sure, but Adams also seems to have complete invulnerability to fire and heat, a trait he's been fortunate to have in a few incidents in his past.

Skills: During his criminal years, Evan became good at a lot of skills that don't get used as often as you might think in the superhero trade. He's good at breaking and entering, picking locks, finding weaknesses in doors or other entrances entirely. He can hotwire a car, and even fix a handful of home electronics. He can also palm objects, pickpocket, and preform several back alley gambling games.

In recent years he's proven to be an effective street brawler, and displayed extraordinary control over his abilities for someone who doesn't fully understand them.

Equipment: Evan's gloves have pieces of flint embedded along to knuckles insides his palm, and his boots have thin striking surfaces on the back of the heels, like those found on matchboxes.

Bio: Evan grew up in poverty in the Lower Bronx in New York. Life was never as hard as it could have been, but it never stopped him from falling into bad company in his teenage years. He started acting out, stealing things the welfare checks wouldn't pay for. Kids like him were considered lost in the system, and even in high school, he was smart enough to know it. One thing led to another, and eventually he ended up in over his head, with no way out.

That is, until he accidentally blew open a lock with the snap of a finger during a break-in in the suburbs. As his powers manifested, at first he used them to rise through the ranks in his crew. After all, he made things explode and catch on fire, what else could he do with them? Although he hadn't attended a full week of classes for months prior, he dropped out officially as soon as he could at sixteen.

After some time it dawned on him; this was his way out. He could step out of the crew, and nobody could really keep him from doing that. Which was good, because his crew didn't take kindly. But it was what he did next that drew the ire of all the gangs in the neighborhood.

In an effort to seal up the cracks in his hometown streets that threatened to swallow him, Adams became a neutral enforcer. He kept the gangs and crews in check, sometimes with threats, sometimes with violence. But what he really wanted was to give kids, kids like he was, a chance to rise out of the Bronx. Like he never did.

He was doing good with his powers.

Other: Evan's offensive powers won't work without a flame or at least a spark, and they have a direct correlation to environmental temperatures. When he's in a cold or soggy environment, his powers aren't nearly as strong.

Sorry for the delay. Power outage caused me to lose a lot and have to rewrite it, and I was a little busy in between.
I AM INTERESTED. I WILL POST. TOMORROW.
