bio:
typical asian face, squinty eyes and black upswept hair. wears a grey male chang pao with blue sash and black pants. his appearance is deceiving, making people think that his specialty is taijutsu. he capitalizes on that by imitating the pose of a monk, hands tucked in his large sleeves or folded behind his back, sometimes even taking on a vague taijutsu pose; his chakra is not all that it appears to be, either, having the skill necessary for chakra capacity for manipulation. he was a mid to long-ranged specialist.
yaira doesn't have much of an elaborate past, really. his clan wasn't a big deal like the hyuugas or the uchihas. short on cash, they didn't have the means to take care of him so they gave him up to the orphanage. at the age of four, he soon knew who they were and where they lived (surprising for someone not yet old enough for the academy), but he didn't put much effort into seeking them out and finding out why. he already had an idea of why they gave him up and didn't blame them for it. they don't look for him, either, and yaira was perfectly fine with that. although, with no money of his own, he was forced to steal/pickpocket. the orphanage fed him and clothed him with hand-me-downs, of course, but they were never given the luxuries that yaira would crave on occasion.
he one day pick-pocketed the wrong jounin, however, and was caught and further bullied for his actions. this jounin's name was one mitarashi anko. whenever the temperamental (read: crazy) woman came about he would make it his mission to try to steal from her wallet. he'd been caught every time, unsurprisingly.
to further annoy the woman when people asked if they were siblings, he'd replaced his last name and taken on hers. it would only make sense. she didn't seem to have a family of her own anyway, so might as well self-make himself into a relative of hers. he hasn't officially moved in to live with her. like him, anko preferred her space and he understood that as well, but he did pay her enough visits for the woman to realize he wasn't going anywhere. they were not in any relationship, either, nothing like 'friends-with-benefits,' but if anko happened to pass on some teachings of her own, who's to say anyone needed to find out what he paid her in return?
