Chapter 1- That Dreaded August Day

Where were you at 6:30 am August 30th, 1980? I certainly remember where I was. I was at Eastman's Hill High for Saturday detention. Standing beside me were Helena Gold, Cinderella of Eastman's Hill, Queenie Smith, The Devil, Pepper Xai, Permanent Resident of Chess Club, Physics Club and The Loser's Table (and probably a 1500 on the SAT.) and Nova Giant, Someone Who Should Really Be On The Set of Counterstrike. No one likes the principal, Jake Cooper, especially us. My name is Lyric Warner and this is the story of the best and worst day of my life.
