Kaleth sat quietly, not moving a great deal, in fact he hadn't hardly moved or said much of anything the entire trip, sitting stoically in the passenger compartment of the shuttle which was ferrying himself and another hunter to the target destination, the vessel the two of them would use was still in dry dock currently and was not quite ready yet, thus he sat impassively, with only the strange biomechanical organism sitting across from him, a product of his people's ingenuity and the Federation's resources, reminiscent of the Aurora Units, but far more sophisticated(and less likely to be corrupted by Phazon, though the possibility of that substance causing any problems didn't exist anymore).

In truth, while he'd been briefed, his own government had told him to be suspicious of the Fed's motives, the story they'd given Kaleth as to why Samus had gone rogue and why he and the creation of the joint research agreement were after her...something about it didn't add up, all he knew was that Samus had apparently stolen technology, including research on Metroids, and blown the station and SR-388 to hell, but the whole thing felt so out of character for the legendary bounty hunter that he and his government had felt something was really off about the story.

There was something, that the Federation was not telling them, which of course could be anything and for the most part they could be telling the full truth, no way to find out but to find the bounty hunter herself, both of them had order's to incapacitate, not kill at any cost. Which was definitely going to make thing's much harder, but order's were orders, the Federation wanted Aran back alive, a corpse wasn't going to tell them much of anything.

Then there was the other thing that bothered him about the situation, his superior's had told him that something was going on in the politics of the Feds, something carefully concealed...but it was heated, whatever it was, there was turmoil beneath the normally placid appearing waves of the Federation, tides that could suck you under in a heartbeat, but all intelligence had been able to say was it had to do with Samus, as for what...

Was anyone's guess really, he grunted, the first sound he'd made in over two hours, the sound that of satisfaction as the pilot informed them they'd arrived at Mirran, an oceanic world, which evidently Samus had fled to and even more interestingly...contained Chozo ruins, that had been undiscovered before, a flush of excitement and some fear surged through the Kriteans, Samus would be alright as the ruins would recognize her as Chozo(despite her human heritage, she had enough Chozo blood for the avian races technology to treat her like one, but as a human at the same time, which spoke volumes of how advanced the tech was).

For him and 'Project Scyla'(Scyla for short of course) it would be more interesting, as the ruins would likely tag them as intruder's, and if they had any automated defenses...things could get hot, really fast, though Kaleth reacted to this prospect as phlegmatically as he did a lot of other things, as if it was all another day at work, he rarely reacted to a lot of things in his job with an extreme emotional response.

Which he hoped would be a soothing, balancing force for Scyla, as the young A.I. had the mind of a very young child, very very advanced and developed in other respects but...emotionally, it would be good for her that Kaleth was a stoic, quiet individual not given to emotional outbursts, and spoke only when he felt it was important to do so, some thought he was aloof and standoffish, but the truth was Kaleth just frequently didn't have anything of value to say.

He felt the shuttle dive underwater and then broke the silence "Are you ready?"

Scyla actually thought very little during the trip to their destination. We had been given a direct order, and had been trained and raised well enough to never question a direct order. She knew very little about the world, or worlds, around her, but she had been highly trained since the very day she was born, literally. She was a fighting force to be reckoned with, possessing enhanced speed and reflexes as well as strength in general. All of which was only highlighted by her power armor, which was the best thing humans ever created even to this day, as far as she knew anyway. Scyla was well aware of what she was, and what she was intended to be. During her 2 years of existence she had been kept out of it, since they had been solely training and testing her. When the time came, however, to send her off on this mission, her creators told her she had been created and that she was actually what they called a Bio-technological being created as a weapon. She was meant to hunt down a rogue bounty hunter under the name of Samus Aran, who's DNA was used to create herself.

One would think such a being wouldn't be clueless to what was around her, that she'd have been implemented with data to allow her advanced knowledge of all that was, but it was not the case. While she indeed had a computer inside, it was mostly used for calculating a multitude of things and controlling her armor and weapons. The humans goal had been to create a weapon, for the condition for the Kriteans to help them had been to try and create the first Bio-tech sentient being. In that manner, it was decided to give her a living mind, one that could learn and understand things. A data bank would have made her stoic and cold, thus a failure. The way she was now, Scyla could feel emotions such as joy, curiosity, fear and a lot more she had yet to experience.

In front of her was sitting another person. He actually was a Kritean, and Scyla saw him as a natural superior. While he was in charge for this mission, the simple fact he was from Krita made Scyla respect him more than she would others. His kind assisted in her creation, after all. Without Krita superior knowledge, she never would have came to be. Suddenly his voice broke the silence, and Scyla felt the shuttle get in contact with something and everything began shaking around them. The A.I looked back at the Kritean and her power armor helmet deployed itself to cover her full head. Inside of his own armor the Kritean could hear her voice, coming from the dedicated channel they'd use to communicate.

''Ready.''

Kaleth merely nodded at her response, he appreciated the fact that Scyla didn't talk much, some sentients could just natter on and on, and while he was patient with these things, it was a relief to have someone who didn't motor on with their mouth like a Traxian. A short time later he heard the shuttle come to a jolting halt, and the sounds of it interfacing with some sort of airlock could be heard and a voice came over the COM system "We've arrived, we'll double getting a vessel for you two, in the meantime get down there, our scans indicate that most of the Chozo tech is dormant and not particularly dangerous, so you don't have to worry about it identifying you as intruders."

Which was something that had no doubt helped Samus Aran enormously in her escapades, many of the places she'd gone to did have Chozo security systems, but most of them had recognized her as being 'Chozo' and not turned hostile, Space Pirates liked raiding Chozo tech, but it was typically difficult due to that reason, it was what made their success on Zebes all that more astonishing(until Samus annihilated them all of course).

Getting to his feet he moved through the cramped interior of the shuttle, it was very...human, in it's design, blocky and rectangular, and made to be as efficient as possible with it's space, he couldn't wait to get out of here, when he reached the airlock, it cycled him in and together the two of them entered the ruins. Kaleth gazed about with suitable appreciation for Chozo architecture, they were under the sea here, but the Chozo had created an underwater home, metal and glass(though Kaleth was sure it was something far more durable) walls entwined sporadically with carved stone, clearly this had been some sort of mountain that went underwater they'd built into, as the Chozo were big fans of using existing natural structures in their architecture with as little technology as possible.

And it showed, for the constructions made by hand were at a minimum, while the tunnels and rooms(as shown on his scanner) were mainly carved out of the rock itself, with some help it seemed from the Chozo to encourage life to grow, the coral on this planet was interesting as it could survive for long periods of time without being immersed in water, so the Chozo had created gardens of it that were watered periodically, allowing them to add color to the normally dull gray and black of the stone, which he was pretty sure was what humans called granite.

While many planets had very different ecosystems, climates and more, many types of stone were the same around the galaxy.

Water dripped and ran in rivulets here and there from aging, neglected walls and ceilings, power flowed in conduits throughout the large room they were in, which had some systems that registered as designed to repel intruder's, but appeared to be dormant and were not reacting to Scyla's or his presence. Water had formed pools in some areas, which had created what would be tidal pools on a beach, except there wasn't any tide here, life found a way to flourish despite the odds...

"Come on." He voxed to Scyla, drawing his pistol and activating it's light "Let's go investigate further."
