hehe, sorry. Not necessarily trying to confuse, but I am kind of keeping you guys in the dark at the moment. I think the progress of the RP will be more genuine that way, since our characters don't really know what's going on either. Gilgamesh will certainly be the main antagonist for a while, though. The stuff going on with Ken is more about me justifying his skepticism of what's going on and getting him on the move than about advancing the overall plot. Basically the American government is aware of the sudden influx of aliens and are trying to distract the public from this fact by beginning a global campaign to just get rid of the poets once and for all. Gilgamesh is the flagship for the campaign. This is all of course happening because of the Tide, but memories of it have been erased from our characters.

Try to bare with me for now, things will start to fall in place =)

I read through the interest check thread and you have got me there. The concept of trying to eradicate poetry is indeed the most interesting, if I dare say.

They're still open, Platanus. Feel free to fill out a character sheet and post it here. If you have any questions, just ask, and if you want me to have a look at your character sheet before you post it, you're always free to do so. Keep in mind that the flashback phase of the RP is over, so you're not required to make those posts. Instead, a 2 paragraph minimum is required for your character's 'history' section. Thanks for showing interest!

Working on one then - which would have been predictable if one knew my sentiments towards poetry - I am reading the IC part first, though, before completing my character. It gives me better insight on the world of the RP and help me with the design. So it might take some time before the character sheet is done - considering that I am also studying for my theory exam - but I will be working on it unless I say otherwise.
It also remains to mention that I am a first-timer here, so please do bear with me. I have only had similar experience in a German forum and believe it not to be much different, still...

Understandable. Keep in mind that practically half the IC posts are from RPers that are no longer in the RP, so don't feel obligated to read those. In fact, I'm probably going to request a mod to delete them all soon, so that new-comers don't have to keep reading them.

Literally laughed out loud when I read "This wouldn’t be a poet facility would it? Writing workshop? Hmm..” There's something inherently funny about the idea of hunting poets, especially since I've been in a workshop class this past semester. Can just imagine someone barging in, waving a gun and saying DROP YOUR PENS!! But you guys are all here so I did something right

The NPC cast has been updated to include Vain's characters. I also finally found a working link for Iraltiphos' appearance in case anyone was wondering how sexi he is

I have read the first page and I already have some ideas for the character. Anything which could be specially useful - besides poetry? Like gender, profession, age, origin, acquaintances etc.?

Btw it might be a quite busy weekend for me so do not wonder if you don't hear (read) from me till Monday.

Anything different from what we already have is usually a good thing. A varied cast makes things interesting.
