Back in the 1700s, when everything was still freshly settled, a group of pilgrims settled somewhere in upstate New York. This leader of the group was a Reverend and his family and their African servant, whom he had an affair with. Upon learning that she would never again share the bed of her lover, the servant got very angry and cursed the entire small town with a plague that turned them into shadow beings. When the servant placed the curse however, she didn't realize that upon her death, she would also become one. As years passed, the curse placed upon this town made the shadow beings angrier and more violent that the people who settled had to move further and further away. In time, the little town was forgotten, until one day a travel bus headed to Niagara Falls breaks down in the middle of Nowheresville, NY. The shadow beings break the truck and prevent anyone with a pulse from leaving.
