Generic Greeting and longwinded introduction. Brief mention of favourite genres (fantasy? fantasy.) and previous roleplay experience. Wonder lazily if there are familliar faces, lurking in the deep dark and shadowy corners of the forum. Follow it by slow but sure descent into madness after staring too long into the void. Hear whispers in the night and kidnap nearest unwitting civilians. Drag them to my lair and construct inpenetrable fortress of evil via cruel slave labour. Awaken a slumbering dark god via unspeakable acts of ritual. Inevitably get overthrown by the good guy and tossed into the abyss. Bide my time in the darkness, plotting my return...

Oh, hello! I am MaeMystique, and this is my welcome...me... thread. You will find I am very friendly and a bit of a roleplay addict. There is something deeply bewitching about exploring the uncharted territory of a good roleplay. I like the mystery of it, how the characters come alive under my fingers, how I never quite know what my partners are going to throw my way. I'm intrigued by the magical, mystical, creative and unusual. My favourite genre is fantasy of all kinds, with romance, action, danger and the unknown tossed in for good measure. I used to be a part of this forum many years ago now, but I wouldn't be surprised if my old partners are no longer here. As such, I am going to saunter my way over to the one on one section and have a good look round for a delicious plot for dinner.

Good afternoon. I suspect, I'm probably a bit older than most here. I won't say how old as, you might point and laugh, and I dont think I could take that. My intersest are table top gaming. Role play and mass battle. Any time period but fantasy as number one with Sci Fi a close second. I use my own systems and, am very intersested in game mechanics (So, I'm a nerd). Favourite Sci Fi Films:- Blade Runner ( Directors Cut, if you disagree, watch, Dangerous Days, The Making of Blade Runner), The Matrix(First Film Only) and Alien. Favourite Fantasy Films:- Lord of the Rings (Why didn't they ride the eagles to Mordor?), Harvey (With James Stewart) and anything with RDJ Ironman. Hope to speak to you soon.

Hello there! Have no fear, age matters less than your ability to create :) I take my hat off to you sir, I am envious that you create your own tabletop systems! I have DMed a few Dungeons and Dragons games and couldn't get by without the rulebook. I tend to take inspiration from them whenever doing an online tabletop roleplay, too. Alas, I don't have the ability to work out the mathematic/scaling side of things well. I do enjoy flinging people into unexpected situations, however :) Oh! and I tend to argue with DMs that think its their job to kill off their players and give 'em hell. I think it's more in creating a world that breathes and giving them challenges. The killing-hell part is an enjoyable bonus.

I'm a big fan of Ghibli movies, I really like how creative the worlds are. It'd be hard to pick a favourite out of all of them... perhaps Princess Mononoke comes a close first.

Nice to meet you too! Hope this forray into this forum is enjoyable for the both of us :)
