Kyle put his arms around her, he closed his eyes he tried to clear his mind, but it didn't work it just kept going back to the pack. He shivered a bit, he tried to forget what had happened to him repeatedly but the thoughts kept coming back. Kyle was trying not to show any emotion but his body betrayed him, he was shaking with the thought of what would happen to him, if they were caught.

"It's okay Kyle, I'm right here for you." Em whispered as she closed her eyes, it had been a long time since she had seen anyone afraid. Back at camp, she lost the fear of death because living was death itself but he was still afraid of his past. Em just sat there in his arms,"Hush, little baby, don't say a word, Em's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And if that mockingbird won't sing, Em's gonna buy you a diamond ring." She cleared her throat and continued the lullaby. "And if that diamond ring turns brass, Em's gonna buy you a looking glass. And if that looking glass gets broke, Em's gonna buy you a billy goat. And if that billy goat don't pull, Em's gonna buy you a cart and bull. And if that cart and bull turn over, Em's gonna buy you a dog named Rover. " Em got her breath back and got down the final verses."And if that dog named Rover won't bark, Em's gonna buy you a horse and cart. And if that horse and cart fall down, You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town."

Slowly Kyles shoulders stop shaking, he was exhausted his body wanted rest, but his mind was wide awake. His breathing eases from those quick and shallow breaths back to normal breathing. It has been a long time since he was this afraid, he usually didn't show it around other people.

Em gently pushes him away and walks over to the fire, slowly she peels of her jacket and lowers it to the ground to dry. Resting on her knees, her gaze is fixed on the dancing flame that warmed up her face. Long fingers entwine her hair braiding it slowly.Standing up she walks a little further from the fire, and lays there to rest. Almost immediately she falls into a restful sleep.

Kyle leaned against the caves wall, he pulled up the hood of his jacket and closed his eyes. The words kept running through his mind you have to let go of your past, or you can't move on he let go of all the stuff had happened to him. His mind was at ease, once he let it go . Slowly he fell asleep.
