Leave your yellow cake at the door, I'm looking for habañero-mango meringue--something with substance, more than just 'nice guy meets sweet girl' or 'look at my pretty lovely character, isn't she wonderful?'. If it doesn't have teeth, if it's not something that will make me sit up and pay attention then I'm not interested. I could apologize but it'd mostly be a lie, and I do enough of that at my day job.
I can do fandoms; I can't do canon characters. The fun is seeing what happens when what's in my head meets what's in your head at sixty miles an hour, not in puppeting around someone else's idea. I'm not going to throw up a list--if you've got something you think might work, throw it at me in a PM and let's make fire. I've probably seen it, done it, and gotten the t-shirt. I've got more ideas than I know what to do with, so I promise if we click we'll find something to work on.
I'll go ahead and say it: modern, gritty urban fantasy is my jam. Can't get enough of it, so if you need a place to start, there it is.
