in the year 2122, one would think that the world would have gone through a massive change, but in reality, nothing has changed much at all since the 'stone age' or what they call the time 100 years ago. the only thing that has truly changed or to be best described, advanced is of course technology. since the huge global warming scare 100 years ago, earth has learned how to use non-fossil fuel substances to go about their daily lives, all cars are now electric, houses run off of sunlight for most of their electricity, water bottles cost more since they do clutter the environment. Among all of these great technological advancements, one of the greatest has been made about 10 years ago when a brilliant young man who was saddened by the death of his fiance, he was able to create the perfect Robot or from what he called them Replicas.
At first people were disturbed by the mans invention, saying that he was just fooling himself on what that thing was. they all yelled at him saying that it will never be good enough to be human. but as time grew by and the people saw him with his 'wife' some actually were jealous of him, with them thinking that its unfair that they must be separated from their love ones while he and his wife got a second chance.... so they did what any other would do and asked the man to create a replica for themselves of someone who is gone from existence.
this was how Replica Cooperations was founded. according to their numbers, Replica makes about 200 million dollars a year on their products. but thats not all, in order to increase their revenue, Replica had put an expiration date on their merchandise. depending on the price you had paid to have your loved one come back from the grave, that determines how long your product will last. this is done by the Metal Heart inside of them, once when it stops ticking, they are gone until you renew your product.
