I will commit, although I don't mind filling in the role of a Brit soldier, I don't know much about your slang and culture, so I'd need a considerable amount of help with that particular part. :P

Oh its real easy, just add 'gov'na', 'mate', 'lad' and 'cunt" to the end of everything. Unless you wanna be Scottish, in which case their lingo goes something like this: 'hdhdufbwshfjehj!!!!'

But in all seriousness, if everyone feels they're more comfortable playing as US characters, then I don't mind one manning the British side of things. When I get home from work later, I'll do some more work on this. Just needs a few more tweaks.

So long as it fits with the world crashing down due to an alien bacteria, and your guy/gal being around for fun times, then I can't see how it would.

EDIT: Looks good to me.

I get back from work early tomorrow, so I'll be able to give everything a good look over, make any final adjustments and then the OOC will go up.

If anyone has anything they want to add, suggest or otherwise, then please give it a shout out.

Sure.

Is there anyone else wanting to lead a squad/fire team? I could shift the focus from individual characters to squads if that's what people would be interested in.

If PC's want to be in Whirlwind that's fine too, saves me the work of having to write out CS's for NPCs

Edit:Also what about the human element of things, Examples being:Bandits/Pissed off Civies and The Chain of Command.

Some stragglers might be found in Plymouth, but if they've survived twenty years since this thing destroyed the country, then they'd probably be the hardcore trust no-one survivor types. However, they wont feature prominently (no large scale bandit groups like in TLOU, because that was ridiculous).

As for the Chain of Command, my character will be a Major, given operational control of the two regiments, but subordinate to the Lieutenant‑Colonel in charge of the Light Dragoons. The two will converse as the campaign progresses, freeing up reinforcements and updating the other players on the wider situation.
