That's nice. Yet Haresus is Germany, not you. I run this game, and who runs which country is done through me, the GM, making the country roster based upon consulting with co-GM MagnificentOne and appointing the people we trust most. You do not appoint yourself as anyone. You request even a transfer to the Tooki-Tooki tribe, let alone the German Empire.

I distinctly remember asking. "Am I Germany?" Perhaps you'd like to quote me where I said "I am now Germany and you can't do jack bro", or else delete your inane chest thumping monologue. Your snark would be a whole lot more justified, you know, if it was even remotely close to accurate. Also, I love how your proven NRPer hasn't been on the forum for one damn hour. Does Mag even know this guy?

As a general rule, it's always a good idea to bring in OOC friends to play main IC competitors in NRPs and then snark everyone who asks innocent questions.

Asking if you're Germany came from this here post, which didn't really look like a request.

He's not familiar with him, but he agreed to the appointment since he's seen him IC. But more than that, Haresus is a man I trust, and consider a friend. You, on the other hand, I do not trust with a Great Power; I have not seen you do well in an NRP, and I do not particularly like you. If you do not like my judgement and/or reasoning, feel free to make a civilised complaint. Please do not throw a tantrum.

Anyway, your disdain for me has been made palpable by this. Turning Prussia into Germany and into the pre-eminent power in the world at the height of pax britannica in a WiR is "doing well" under any sane definition. Besides, if you are willing to play favorites now you are willing to play favorites in order calculation and as such I must go. You have the audacity to be a great power and GM, giving you intimate knowledge of the stats you can use to wrest an advantage. You make a friend Russia's prime competitor. You refuse to give Transvaal stats. Would you stop updating Denmark's stats if the UK invaded? You refuse to update South Africa's resource base in spite of overwhelming evidence. I do not trust you and as such, I leave. Get ready for rolls to go against you if you fight Russia or Germany, people.

If anyone is concerned, MagnificentOne, Haresus, and I are above using our positive relations outside the game and knowledge of things for IC benefit. Don't worry, friends. People proofread the update. I think that a reminder is in order: I am always accessible for concerns, complaints, and suggestions about the game. Without you, the players, enjoying yourselves, I am wasting my time.

That same update is on schedule, too.

Just a game guys. GM bias can happen, but as long as it's fun I don't really care. In my mind GM is boss. He writes the big ass updates, we just sit there and rp a response. I'm just looking forward to this game starting.

When can we expect the first update?
