I should've made a better name... Preferably for people who prefer politics and economics over action and adventure, but whatever floats your boat.

Plot:
A decade into the future, upon the basis of America's Declaration of Independence's human right to the, "pursuit of happiness", the age-old system of public schools have been abolished. Child labor was brought back. Why?

Before such a system was implemented, large corporations would "need" the labor of those less fortunate. Because we "need" low-wage workers, flipping burgers, working restaurant service, or doing menial factory labor, these men and women would not be able to pursue happiness like the rest of the people. There would always be a section of society unable to pursue their dreams because they are needed at a lower level of the labor hierarchy.

But not anymore. You see, this new system allows giant corporations to take children, put them to menial, low-wage labor for maybe eight to ten hours a week, in which they are rewarded with their school tuition. The gifted children are put into more exceptional work where they get paid tuition and an additional salary. To the children and their conscious years, they'll just consider this as life.

Scenario:

Your character is a high school student (I'll play as all the NPCs, teachers, supervisors, and all), working his/her way through one of many different company-owned high schools available.

I understand that available companies may differ according to what country this is set in. Either America or Japan for the accessibility of less obscure companies.
So America would have companies like Google, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Ebay, Ford, General Motors, Dodge, Starbucks, Wal-Mart, and many more.
Japan: Sony, Capcom, Nintendo, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda, Nissan, and also many more.
McDonalds and KFC would be available everywhere. Mom-and-Pop or small businesses have the chance of running very small private schools or homeschool.

Objective:

What's the objective here? It sounds boring. Is there no fighting? No action? Is this seriously just another High School RP?

I honestly don't find the controversial topic of child labor and human rights as boring. Here are the objectives.

1. Have your characters build relationships! With work involved, so are work relationships.
2. Have your characters build skill! If they apply for interviews, they can get out of the "work for tuition" trap and earn some real money. This could eventually transfer to work experience and college credit, with the added affect that you could potentially change the path of the company and it's development.
3. School rivalries are always fun. Sports are good (and can be work for tuition if the character gets enough publicity).
4. School rivalries get really serious. So fighting can be involved, but think of it as typical, everyday fighting, throwing punches, grabbing everyday weapons, chairs and the like, or, if your character is from the McDonalds school (ghetto and poor), he/she might just have a switchblade on hand. ("I hate those iPhone using 'Apple' kids.")
