I was thinking of this idea of how a lot of people look to videogames as a sort of escape, especially after watching all these anime like SAO and No Game No Life. It gave me this weird idea though of what if there were an anime that still took place in the real world, but still getting special abilities similar to video games. The RP would revolve around a handful of characters that use videogames as their escape from there real world issues, and because of some sort of strange occurrence or whatever (I haven't really thought of the details, only the key elements really =/) they take on new forms based of their game of choice. For example, I have an idea for a character that loves Mario and anything of the like, but finds himself sadly relating more to Princess Peach, to his distain, always relying on others and unable to do anything for himself and unable to help the ones he cares about. He in turn receives the power of fire (similar to the fire flowers), an oversized hammer (similar to how Mario combats Donkey Kong), and a strange new attire that resembles Mario's but more... "Princely."
It's only a basic idea at the moment, and I would be free to anyone willing to help with the plotline. I just thought it would be a fun idea, I haven't even thought of things such as a common goal, antagonists, or even a reason as to why the characters would be getting these powers in the first place. Still, it'll be fun to collaborate with others that may be interested. So if you are interested and have some ideas, let me know! I'm nice and easy going, so I'm always up for anything! =)

Awesome! glad to hear it. =) I have some general ideas floating around in my head at the moment, maybe something along thee lines of an unknown power bestowing these gifts upon humans, pitting them together in some sort of competition? It would start with the unknown power seeing these humans' reliance in their escapes, using those as the outlet to give them the gifts they didn't even know they desired, then telling them that they can only keep their powers by fighting against others that have received strange abilities. I'm not sure as to why yet, but then our characters would fight amongst each other at first, maybe making allies with certain ones, before ultimately learning the reason as to why and deciding to fight against this strange power.
Maybe... I'm still thinking it all through. XP
