Life was pretty good for you. Classes were going great, you had a scholarship lined up, mom and dad just got you a new car, and hey, that person you'd been crushing on in your physics class was finally returning your attention. The stars were lining up!
Then things got bad. And weird.
Maybe you were on the way to a party with your friends when something grabbed you from behind, quick and quiet, and for whatever reason your buddies just kept walking as you screamed and were dragged into the brush.
Maybe you were one the way out of work when your new car refused to start, and the shadows closed in all around you like the bars of a cage.
Maybe you came home from school to find your mother and father frozen at the table, their breakfasts from that morning just the way you left them, and an odd, androgynous creature in medieval armor sitting on your sofa, a cold and cruel smile on its face as it hypnotically offers you a bite of a purple apple. And how could you resist that charming voice...
And so they dragged you off into the Wood- becoming a thrall of the Spring Queen, a plaything in her court. The Bright Lady was a force both beautiful and terrible to behold. With one breath she praises all beauty and passionate love. With another, she took glee in torturing that which she found ugly, brutish, or dull. And as the days in the Wood crept by your time and experience has left you changed in ways that you would never think possible.
You cannot tell a lie, but you have learned to lie by omission.
Cold Iron burns you, but as a born human it is not lethal to you.
Perhaps most importantly, your feasts are nourished by the emotions of mortals. Passionate fruits, chilled love roots, goblin-berries grown from hate- and a thousand other delights made not with water and soil, but emotion.
Emotion is drying up, however. The mortals now seem to live off of pills that deaden their emotions and leave the banquets of the Spring Queen looking more and more sparse...
With your transformation into a Fey servant complete, you find yourself the Thrall of a new minor Court in the city of LA: The Court of Spring Eternal, based out of a club of the same name. The Spring Queen's Lordling, Railey Flowers, oversees the club.
His mandate, and yours, is simple.
Create a new feeding ground in this "City of Angels" that the Spring Court can live off of, and let nothing- not the plots of Autumn or the warriors of Summer, or the meddling of mortals- stop you.

The dance floor of Spring Eternal is full, the music loud, and the line outside the door stretches round the block. The air is thick with emotions and pixies fly through the dancing lights trying to stoke the powerful feelings the mortals bring. The Lord of the club, Railey Flowers, stands in his VIP booth to the side of the bar surrounded by courtiers he directs to keep things orderly. While doing your job, you're bumped into by a human man who clearly doesn't belong- he isn't dressed for clubbing at all. What's more, you feel the hard metal of a gun beneath his jacket and can feel the wicked enchantments of a rival Court radiating off of him...
