Rusty mews for Kuri, his adopted mother, to come to him. "Mom! Come 'ere!"
She sighs, standing up, and stretching. "What is it, Rusty?"
He muzzles a mouse toward her through the thick snow. "I caught it all by my self!"
"I'm guessing Lynx taught you, eh?" she laughed.
"'Course, mum!" he responded joyfully.
