I was kinda planning on a paladin, but... being a paladin in Ravenloft can be a bit... uh... tricky - not to mention dangerous.

That said: Being a Paladin isn't going to be a lot of fun for the Paladin. Lily's presence is a good percent plot device to screw over the party, to be brutally honest.
