Hello everyone and welcome to my music corner. This thread is made for a few reasons. One being to expose my work some more then it already is, two to ask for critical feedback and three to see what I have works ad fits with what I had in mind, usually rough demos and such. I don't take requests so please don't ask, this is for reasons that are my own and so please respect that. I like some of the pieces I make though wanting to be a composer don't see myself as a professional but a person on the road to getting there. I work in the Soundtrack, Dark Electro and various other electronic and none electronic genres. My SoundCloud so far is mostly electronic music, a few of my tracks are old and made during my learning curve of working in Cubase 4 at the time. Now I am on Cubase 6.5 with better VSTi stock.

My music theory is kind of all over the place and I only know bits here and there so I am not the best to ask about chord progression and stuff, someone else most likely will. Music is art, it is almost math but I tend to ignore that bit. I have a BTEC and BA Hons in Creative Music Technology.

Rules:

1. Criticism is good, being a rude punk is not. We all start somewhere and have a long way to go, tearing me or us down does not help
2. You can post your own work here if you want, this is about original/remixes/covers by both serious and casual composers, producers and song writers
3. Discussion of hardware and software is allowed, in fact I like the idea of this
4. Discussion on anything music based, more so original pieces of work is encouraged. Don't be shy about it
5. SoundCloud links are encouraged, but YouTube is also acceptable. DropBox and anything like that isn't
6. Reposting each others music is encouraged to to promote yourself a bit more. Nothing wrong with a wanting a bigger fan base/play count

If you break rule one or two I will get a mod on your ass fast. I will also if you disrupt, troll or go off topic.

Mass Effect-Planet [Demo]

soundcloud.com/royzooka/mass-effect-pl.. [Guild is not set up with a widget for a player as far as I am aware, if wrong please correct me]

This is nothing official, just me trying to make and compile a portfolio to show various works. I set out to make a planet type soundtrack like in Mass Effect 1-3, more so what Jack Wall did in Mass Effect 1. The planet one lands on to either explore and do side missions or to ad and continue the story line. Does it capture or somewhat capture the essence of something Mass Effect or for that matter a Sci-Fi game/movie would have within its medium? I feel it starts off Mass Effect like then goes off a little after hitting the 20-30 second mark. The word Demo is the important part of this work, I will be extending the intro and be making the instruments come in at some point later. I do fear it will be a little repetitive but that is not always a bad thing.

I am however working on an old school RPG with someone, it all started with a unit I had to do at university meaning all the stuff I make is free for the said create. Nothing about the game is shown yet and all the music I made for it has been pulled to improve and master them. I will post them in time, however demo forms exist on my YouTube account which I won't be sharing at this time.
