This is a roleplay based on an idea for a story that I had, but I couldn't figure out how to write it so I just altered it a bit and made is an RP! The idea here is that the five characters (myself included) are mages. Masters of a specific kind of magic. There may be combat, but only on missions which will only occur on occasion. The majority of the RP will be spent in the hall of our guild, The Order of The Serpent, developing character relationships and generally getting a feel for everyone's writing and so on. Now time to set the rules for the universe.
Mages can only master one school of magic though you are allowed to have limited skill in another. The schools are thus...Conjuration, the ability to create inanimate objects out of mana. Most objects are fleeting facades that don't last long, but with sufficient power, a mage can create an actual object (a sword for example) that is permanent. Elemental, control over the elements. It a primal and powerful form of magic, but hard to control. If you are an elemental, you may have use of whatever elements you choose (The big four, in addition to Lightning, poison, gravity, Darkness, light...) but the most powerful elementals specialize in one element. An elemental can create instances of their element(s), as well as control existing amounts of their element. Summoning, the ability to summon living (or undead) creature to their bidding. Most of these are just mindless drones that take the shape of living things, but the skilled can temporarily bring the dead to life, as well as create complex beings with personalities. The latter requires an exorbitant amount of power, so these beings can only be summoned for short periods of time. (Think of the servants from the Fate series.) Next is support, it can let the user do things such as teleport, make themselves or their allies invisible, or heal themselves or others. Finally is alchemy, the ability to make potions and transmute objects. Potions are fairly obvious, (Strength, speed, invisibility, healing...) and transmutation is the ability to turn raw materials into refined substances or finished products. A novice Alchemist could turn a log into sanded planks, a skilled alchemist could turn a log and a hunk of iron into a spear. Alchemists are also naturally sensitive to mana, typically being able to identify the positions of mages, as well as area's where traps may be. Alchemists are the most skilled at laying magical traps and enchanting.
One should note that all of the schools have the ability to use simple magic not related to their specialty. All schools can Enchant, lay traps, and do basic healing, but certain schools are better at those.
It should be noted that this does take place in modern times.
When you make your character be sure to tell me your...
Name: (Make it semi-realistic and not super cringy. So no "Shadow Nightstalker" or anything.)
Age: 16-20
Appearence: (General rundown, a picture will suffice)
Clothing and gear: (Magical gear is allowed, make sure it fits with your character and isn't immensely overpowered.)
Gender: For the sake of simplicity, just male or female
Sexuality: Straight, Gay, or Bi. If you want to be something else you'll have to include a definition.
Personality:
Backstory: Who taught your character about magic, how skilled is your character, why have they joined the Order of The Serpent?
School: Out of the above
Special Magical Ability: This could be a special potion that you invented, a certain weapon that you conjure, a magically enhanced fighting technique, the possibilities are endless
Skills: This refers to nonmagical skills, is your character a good cook, a master swordsman, a crack shot? Make it make some sort of sense with your back story.
Ultimate Form: Your character's last resort, or your strongest attack. It is essentially your character going "Super Saiyan." This changes your character physically and has to have a cool sounding title, as well as a reason that you can't use it often.

My character.
Name: Jaron Edric
Age: 17
Appearance: Tall, lanky, Short and dark brown hair spiked up in the front. Bright Green eyes. Muscled from years of training.
Clothing and Gear: A simple Dark blue long sleeve shirt and Black pants. Coupled with An ankle length peacoat. Has a magical cane that can transform into three weapons (A Naginata (it's a lance), A pair of short swords, and a revolver) and a top hat that he can put items inside of for storage, the space withing the hat is infinite and he typically carries food and water, as well as the blades for his "Blade Storm."
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Personality: Jaron is outgoing and witty if a bit tactless. He makes friends easily and has deep bonds with his friends. He is a strong leader if a bit on the cautious side. He makes tactical decisions that may seem cowardly in order to keep his Guildmates safe.
Backstory: Born to mage parents, he studied magic almost as soon as he could walk. He began studying conjuration at the age of ten, mastering it within a few years. His father gave him his cane, and his mother the hat. After his parents were killed by Inquisitors, he left his hometown and formed the Order of The Serpent to learn from Mages his own age, and to someday become strong enough to take down the inquisitors. If he has fun along the way, that's a bonus.
School: Master of Conjuration, not the remotest iota of skill in any other school of magic.
Special ability: "Blade Storm", Jaron Take off his hat and removes twelve identical swords, the swords float around him until he begins to control them. Once he begins controlling the blades he is totally vulnerable. He can only control the blades for a maximum of five minutes before he begins to become exhausted.
Skills: Skill with all three of the weapons that his cane can transform into, good cook.
Ultimate Form: "Prince of Blades" Jaron grows slightly in height and weight. His eyes glow bright green throughout and wings made of blades grow out of his back. A superfluous amount of blades are conjured around him and act autonomously. The Orbiting blades seek out any targets. Aside from the amount of mana it takes to transform, the process of the wings sprouting from his back is incredibly painful and usually leaves him bedridden for several days after he changes back
