I based a plot on a fanfiction I read but switched the genders and changed it a bit. It is slightly got a bit of Shrek as Princess Fiona.

She is a mermaid but her mind is overtaken and her eyes turn from blue to red and she uses her trident to kill the fish. She can't help it and if she has bad emotion during the day, her eyes will turn purple and she will fight unless either one leaves quick. The other person is human.
