"Well as much as I liked last night, I'm a busy man. I'm sure you can see your way out whenever you finish dressing and all that right?" Sebastian shrugged as he finished buttoning up his shirt and dress pants. It was only nine but he had a guy to meet about fixing up the lighting on the bars stage. It had been the fifth time the lights flickered and careened a bit, and honestly, he didn't want to be stuck with a law suit (not that he cared if he was responsible for ending someone elses life. Things happened!)

As he reached the second button, the woman shifted lazily on her side and noticed a pack of cigs on his mahogany nightstand. "You smoke? Since when?"

"Heh. They're for you." He turned as saluted, "Later..." He went to close the door but just before he closed the bedroom door all the way he said, "Oh and, don't be here when i return. One night stand was all it was..."He cut the blonde volumptous broad off before he said "And that's nothing against you. I just make it a habit out of...some bad romances, if you get my drift."He smirked, closed the door and was on his way out. But, honestly, the girl just wanted to know how he knew she smoked. Did she smell like ashes or something? She sat up, sniffed her shirt and then flopped back down into the comfy bed.
Sebastian was Seadrifts own no. 1 bar owner and he saw to it that Bar None had the biggest and best entertainment he could afford. It was his baby, his life's ambition and his world. He built that bar up from nothing and turned it into extravagance . Lately though, he'd been thinking about going another route expanding his bar across the states but maybe it was time to start up a club. Branch off into something similar but different. He had the money saved up, instead of buying a porsche (sorry ladies, the corolla will have to do), he'd use that money to build something grandiose to his taste. He smiled on the way there, and pulled up to the front of the bar where the man was already waiting.

"Hey..."The seedy looking man said. Skinny, and starting to bald, he always looked nervous like the cops were gonna arrest him at any second.

"This is the third fucking time i've had to call you."Sebastian said as he removed his sunglasses. "I don't know what it is about you electricians but f you don't get the job right this time there will be hell to pay." He furrowed his brows and looked at the man angriliy, all earlier traces of a smile gone.

"Ye...yes...I can do it...It's just...the pay. I mean, you can't really expect me to use my good stuff when im only getting 60 an hour...i mean r-really...."He trailed off.

Sebastian smiled for a second and then grabbed the guy by his collar. His eyes turned a redish tint and his smile immediately dropped. "You're going to do this job right, and you're going to do it for whatever i pay you." This guy was seriously creepy, what was with that random smile? Was this a joke? The guy nodded as if in a trance, and Sebastian pushed him back. He ran his hand through his hair and moved to unlock the door, walking in before he had to take a look at that moron. Idly, the electrician sauntered in and commenced his work, happily but midway came back down to earth, swearing. Sebastian kept his eye on the guy throughout most of it, because he didnt want to get screwed again, but then his phone rang.

That had better be the band confirming... For tonights musical guest he'd hired some local band. Everyone needed their shot and Sebastian had a soft spot for that kinda thing. He thought the name was germanic booger? something like that anyway, they could leave him a message. For now he'd keep an eye on this sleeze.

Oh for Christ's sake...

Isabelle really needed a cigarette, now. her body was trying not to twitch. Her graveyard shift was just about over, she'd been up for half the night, and yet she couldn't have felt more wired. They were blasting hard-core rap in on the store's radio, the current song a fast an aggressive song, with an angry rapper who couldn't have been percieved as good if you were drunk. While Izzy had no love for the genre, in fact she found it repetitive, she couldn't help but feel the pulsing energy from the song practically pulse through her body, making her shift her weight subconsciously, and fidget with just about everything at the register.

But that was just the cherry on the Sunday. Why these tweeny-boppers were out this late God only knew, but here they were. Obvious rule-breakers by their furtive looks, but their shrill, high-pitched chatter was beginning to eat at her ear-drums. They were arguing over what CD to get; Miley or Gaga.

Who gives a damn?! she inwardly screamed. Their both out of their minds, you'll get the same thing each time! JUST PICK ONE SO I CAN GO HOME!

"Izzy?"

"What?!" She spun around and snapped at her coworker. Sammy frowned, and shook his head.

"You PMSing or something?" he said. "Look, your shifts up. Just punch out before the boss sees you destroying the paperclips."

Isabelle shot a glare at Sam, dropping the fore-mentioned mangled instrument, before she left the register, and quickly dug through her purse. She just managed to fetch the pack as she left the store. The anger and agitation seemed to vanish just like that, but the stress was fresh. She lit up, kept walking, and exhaled a cloud, feeling herself relax. It felt good to be out.

She rounded a corner, pulling her vintage leather jacket tighter around her body, as she noticed the building she passed. It looked like a bar, though not open yet, with a sign for a local band being advertised on the cover. She frowned, reading the name, and let her eyebrows shoot up.

"Generic Burger?" she muttered aloud. "Are all indie-bands this high, or is this one just extra special?"

Look at these people. Walking by with their heads down and sullen faces. Never looking at anyone directly for fear of making eye contact. They make me sick. No ambition. No drive. Just walk the same way to work, and the same way back home. Each and every day. How many of these people enjoy their life? Better yet, how many of them even deserve what they have now?

Jeremy's fingers flew across the neck of his violin, his bow gliding over the strings as the melody of notes sang through the air. He had played this song at least several hundred times by now, the ebb and flow branded in his mind forevermore. It was the final piece he performed he was kicked from the orchestra he had worked so hard in. It was a masterpiece, written by Jeremy's favorite composer Vivaldi. Though, with the lack of an orchestra he had taken the liberty to ad lib empty spaces in his playing. It was a constant reminder of what was taken from him. A constant reminder that someone had to pay for the crimes against him.

What does that mean for me? Does this mean I am as lowly, as ignoble as the rest of this filth?!

Jeremy's anger channeled through his hands, the notes surging in volume. He loosened the force of the bow on the instrument, yet the volume continued to grow louder and louder. People were turning their heads at the sudden burst of sound that was Jeremy's performance. Jeremy released the bow from the strings in frustration, the sound eventually ceasing it's outburst. He took the moment to look around at the people now watching him. Some clapped silently, others dropped spare change into his instrument's case. He smiled a fake smile and nodded in masked contempt to those who had departed from their money.

If all it takes is a smile and a nod to take these commoner's money, it's no wonder why this filth complain about debt and bills.

Jeremy looked down to the money that had accumulated. From an estimate, forty six dollars and some change. This time, the smile that smeared itself across his face was very real, and slightly sinister.

Was that sudden burst of volume really that entertaining to these people? I shall have to emulate that again if this keeps up. But... What caused it? I have never done it before, so why now? The weather should not effect the sound this much, so it can not be that.

Before he could get too deep in thought, Jeremy's stomach rumbled and gurgled audibly. His eyes trailed up towards the immediate building across the street.

"Bar None. Did they really think themselves clever with that one?"

Jeremy muttered under his breath as he read the big logo(?) on the wall. Despite his feelings about the name, he knew he needed food in order to continue through the day. And, after this morning's stroke of good fortune, he definitely had the money to eat. It may not have been caviar and roe like he was used to, but it would have to do.

Just hope I dodge contracting the runs from this joint.

The codes for the produce ran quickly through his head as he absentmindedly dropped the groceries onto the scale and just as quickly take them off and bag them. He had been working at SaveGreen for three years and a bit and it hadn't changed in all that time. All the codes were the same, the coworkers cycled out as quickly as they came but there was never anyone interesting hired and never anything interesting that happened. In that time, he had cycled through four different of his "projects". The first had been a standard garage punk band with a few of the buddies he had made at American University, but they quickly moved on when their schooling became progressively harder and he became progressively more distanced from the institution. From there came a solo breakbeat project that never took off, a never-did-anything-but-jam post-rock band he stumbled into. Now, Generic Burger was his pride and joy. It had been the longest-running one, and by far the most successful as well. There were people who legitimately called themselves "fans" of the band, something that was very much foreign to Elias.

As he cashed out the customer, a mid-40's housewife with a cheery smile, his foot tapped the beat to a song they had just finished writing and would be debuting tonight at some local bar. He had played most of the pubs in this city but this place had always struck him as a little too stuck-up or high class for a band like his. He'd take whatever gig he could get though, and playing at a spot like this could only boost Generic Burger's street cred.

"That'll be $47.21, ma'am" he spat out. The most superficial, sincere smile hung on his face and the housewife paid him the same insincere courtesy as she smiled and handed him her credit card. He handed her machine and again started tapping the beat to their new song, now also humming the melody to it. He had been caught doing this before, but he had been there too long for him to be fired. He had seniority over all of the supervisors and it'd be too costly for them to hire any new replacements and train them.

The woman handed him back the machine and he instinctively ripped the receipt that spat out of it and handed it to her without looking.

"Have a nice day." he said, this time genuine. She had been his last customer of the day and as she picked up her bags to leave, he clicked off his lane's light and started a brisk walk to the back of the store to change out of his uniform and get his stuff. He was meeting the rest of Generic Burger at the bar before the gig to practice quickly and do a soundtest. He checked his e-mail on his smartphone as he passed the chips.

"Bar None" he thought as he read the confirmation e-mail from their manager, his mom. "At least it's clever."

Well, a name was only skin deep. The red-head shrugged, deciding that the matter wasn't worth much of her time. She turned back around, ready to leave, and nearly bumped into a different face. She stepped just short of smacking into him, getting a glance up into his face; glasses, light curly hair, and a disposition that definitely wasn't in the mood for jokes.

"Sorry," she said, stepping back, and adjusting her jacket. "Got lost in thought, wasn't looking."

There was something off about him, whoever he was. Isabelle couldn't put her finger on why, but something about him looked familiar. It was only when she traced her memory back through the week that she realized exactly where she saw him; on the subway track, on her way to work.

He was playing that cello, she remembered. It had made her angry, whatever he had played, and she couldn't place why. As always, the anger had faded when he song stopped, but it was strong enough for her to remember.

Grant stared down at the picture he had just drawn. He was happy with the way it had turned out but something was just wrong about it. He couldn' say what it was but looking at the picture it just seemed wrong. He had spent about 5 hours on this page and he obviously wasnt just going to throw it out but something did seem wrong. He sighed and rubbed his forehead before getting up from his desk and pushing his chair back. He began to walk through his flat. He never really needed a lot of space and his job just required a desk and some drawing utensils so that didnt need much space either. A few of his acclaimed comics were patterened on his walls every now and then. 'Ratman Incorporate, All-Star Hooperman, The Amazing Arachnidman. Whenever he looked at them he felt a sense of pride, to know that people all over the world saw something you done was extremely rewarding. He didn't really ever impose the fact of this and was more happy with people not coming up to him in the street, especially not the type of person he imagined reading his comics. Ugh, he could imagine it now, fedora, neckbeard, childrens tv show t shirt, ill fitting trench coat, it gave him the shivers just thinking about it. He got bored of just staring at the wall and trying to figure out whether or not he should watch tv or keep trying to figure out what was wrong with the picture so he went out. He picked up his harrington jacket and put it on, on the way out. After a few minutes of walking he had arrived at a bar he had visited a few times before. He wasn't exactly a regular there but he had been a few times when he had nothing to do. Apparently some indie band was playing tonight. He wasn't a big fan of new music. He preferred the tunes of the nineties and before. He sat down at a table before ordering his drink of a beer and beginning to eat the assorted nuts that were lying out in a bowl on said table. He was sorting through them to get the good nuts, he hated the salted ones.

"Ta-da..."The seedy man said as unenthusiastically as he could manage and then flipped the switch. The lights turned on without a flicker and the bolts seemed to be locked in tight. Sebastian who had kept his eye on him the whole time wore not even a smirk. "Fine."He muttered, striding over to the man. "Here's your money. If anything goes wrong tonight I hope you know i'm coming for you."

Checking his rollex as the guy quickly exited, Sebastian was surprised at how fast time had gone. In fact, the chefs and bar staff had already begun to arrive. "...Yo Bass...I mean boss!"Said his head manager. He quickly changed his tune and redacted the pet name after seeing the annoyed look on his face. Best not to add more stress when he gives that look

"Is everything set tonight, Chase? I just dealt with the electrician again and I swear if anything goes wrong i'm tracking him down and-"

"Whoah whoah... I don't want to be an accomplice."Chase winked, but was met with a bland smile. He ran his hand through his red hair and then scratched his beard. "...Anyway, i sent the confirmation email earlier today. It's all set. Food preps underway and we're stocked in the bar. We're fine no worries Champ."

Sebastian sighed heavily. Always with the pet names. "Alright then... I'm heading to my office. For once let's have the perfect night, alright guys?" His words of inspiration were met with grunts. Sebastian wasn't the worlds worst boss but he could be a hard ass, and nothing ever went perfectly in his eyes. He shook his head, and smiled as he retreated into his back room office. As he sat down in his chair in front of the computer screen, he wondered if he should bother inviting Angelique. He really had eyes for that brown skinned beauty but he'd ruined it with his infidelity...Still why couldn't they be friends? It has been at least five months and he still couldn't get her out of his head, even with the chick he banged this morning...
Customers began to arrive and slowly the bar became more populated. Sebastian had spent an hour staring at his facebook screen. Did he dare send her a message/friend request her? It was a miracle she hadn't even unblocked him. That was a good sign right? He sighed, and decided against it for right now, especially with his antics this morning. Instead, he got up and exited his office, almost bumping into Chase who was laughing at some joke the food prep girl said. It was a shame he still didn't know her name. Sebastian knew he had a thing for that girl, and honestly he'd try to get with her too if it wasn't mixing business with pleasure. Chase smiled apologetically, and then bowed pointing out the way making Sebastian shake his head. If he wasn't the most organized man he'd ever met in Seadrift...

Sebastian took a seat next to a guy he'd only seen every so often. He didn't know why his face seemed so familiar but there was something there. Sebastian, never being the shy type, spoke up. "Hey...Don't I know you from somewhere?"He said turning towards the guy. He was picking at the nuts, and Sebastian chuckled a bit. "I assure you, those nuts are all safe and fresh."

Grant looked to the man who had sat next to him. He had a small handful of the nuts he actually liked now and was picking at that instead of the bowl now.
"I only really like a few of them though" he said throwing a monkey nut into his mouth
"Canny stand the salted nuts, too....salty to sound obvious" He looked at the man sitting next to him.
"Don't you own this place? I come here every now and then so we might of seen each other then" He looked around the bar, it seemed rather lively at the moment, he much preferred the incomprehensible chatter of the various groups around the pub than whatever indie band was to play relativley soon.
"So, is the band you've booked any good? With a name like 'Generic Burger' I can't expect all that much"

Elias walked briskly off the metro. He held his guitar case and amp in either hand but the weight of them no longer bothered him as he walked to gigs. He had become his own roady and he was pretty proud of the minuscule benefits that this exercise had provided. He hadn't brought a mic with him, assuming Bar None would have one. Most bars did for their "karaoke nights" and if this one didn't he'd just have to strain his voice a bit. Not a big deal in the long run, but he wasn't feeling good to begin with. He had picked up some cough drops on the way out of SaveGreen just in case. As he topped the stairs of the station he dipped into a nearby alley, setting his amp down and guitar against the wall. He pulled out his phone, quickly checked the address and then slid his glass piece out of of his case.

"Fuck." he mouthed as he discovered the sizable crack in the bowl. Had probably happened on the train on the way there. He shrugged and started packing it anyway. He needed a way to get a little edge off before the show and alcohol had never entirely done the trick. He took a few quick hits and immediately started coughing uncontrollably. "I probably should've considered my cold before smoking this. he thought, as he gripped the pipe tightly in his fist and popped one of the losanges into his mouth. Lemon flavor. He looked down at the pipe, surprised at how well it had worked even with the crack. It was fine though, looked brand new minus the ash left in the bowl. Elias shook his head and stuffed it back away in his case, silently praying that what he had bought hadn't been spiked. He breathed in deep and picked the case and amp back up, turning out of the alleyway and pushing his way into the bar. The place was already surprisingly full and he couldn't find his bandmates anywhere. They might already be in the back, but that'd mean he'd have to find the owner or manager. He looked confusingly around. Maybe they just hadn't shown up yet. He was decidedly earlier than he usually was. He set his case and amp down near the front and sat down at a booth nearby. His teeth cracked down and swallowed the cough drop before he immediately popped another back into his mouth.

Is this really how I have been reduced? Just another scrap on the ground doomed to eat in bars?

Jeremy smiled as the waitress brought him his plate of food and his glass of water. The food was just a simple salad, and the water simply because he did not trust any of the other liquids to travel past his lips. The waitress gave him another smile and a wink before she twirled around and went on her duties.

How quaint. She believes simple flattery will garner an additional tip.

Jeremy slowly began to eat his salad in the corner of the room he sat in. He really hoped no one would attempt to sit with him, for whatever reason they had for such a cause. He was in no need to find friends at this moment, for his mind was still hell bent on revenge.

I just need time, that is all. Time to get back on my feet. Then they will see the wrath they have brought upon themselves.

Beads of sweat began to slowly drip down Jeremy's face as he continued to eat and drink. He could not yet determine if this sudden bought of perspiration was from the temperature of the bar or his own excitement. He took a napkin and gently cleared his brow of the filthy liquid and folded it neatly under the side of his bowl.

But that is for another time, Jeremy. Focus on the present, or else you will trip towards the future.

It was then that Jeremy noticed a sort of stage in the bar, and had to stifle a scoff.

So, is this some sort of ploy to help draw in customers? Well, marketing and advertisement I suppose. I cannot fault the owner for trying to bring business. I do hope it is not some new, upstarting band. What do they play these days... Grunge? Bah. Makes my head hurt thinking about it.

Jeremy rubbed his temples at the thought, mostly for his own amusement than any actual pain.

((P.S. I really hate my internet.))

Sebastian smiled and leaned against his arm. "Yeah. Place is my pride and joy. As for the band, I'm really not sure. My Head Manager does all that stuff. All i do is ask he place emphasis on people who are upstarters in Seadrift." The bartender turned around with the guys drink, and was a bit startled to see Sebastian there. She was obviously new and thought he was testing her or something.

"W-what can i get you?"She said after placing the drink in front of guest.

"Get me your favorite."He smiled and his eyes sparked red, then sighed exasperatedly when she turned around. "Anyway, i didn't catch your name. I'm Sebastian...Speaking of which..."He had averted his eyes behind the stool to see one of the bands guitarists placing his stuff near the front. "I guess that's one of them."He jerked his thumb back. "If you'll excuse me..." Sebastian liked to make it a habit of getting to know the people Chase hired. He couldn't remember names but he did remember faces. He was off towards the guy now, and the barista looked confused, as she came back with a drink, and he was off at a booth. She really didn't want to get fired for interrupting but she had to give him this drink. She tried to hold off on it for a few minutes but felt compelled...
"So where's the rest of the band?"Sebastian said, sliding into the booth. "I'm Sebastian by the way. The owner." His expression wasn't as nice as it was towards the man. When it came to business, he was frank, and unrelenting. "I hope it goes well tonight...and that your members are on time...?"He left that at an upward inflection and crossed his fingers, waiting on a response.

"Sir, here's your drink!"She said shoving it onto him, spilling it all over his clothes. The daze look in her face disappeared, and she exclaimed, "I'm so so so sorry."And began to help clean him off, as he angrily flicked the beer of his arm.

Elias nodded quickly. This man scared the shit out of him. "Of course I'm sure they'll be here soon. I thought they might already be getting ready at the back actually. Let me fire off a few texts." He said, shifting his gaze from the man's to the bright screen of his phone. He instantly felt calmer as he typed a message to his friends and bandmates. He felt bad for the waitress. She would probably be fired before the end of the night. Sebastian didn't seem like the type to calm down when his staff spilled a drink on him, he decided to take advantage of her lingering though.

He stumbled up, his body still shaken by his interaction with Sebastian. "I can help you clean up if you'd like. Want the place looking the best it can for the show tonight." he said, smiling but still avoiding any kind of eye contact with the owner. He held out his hand, indicating to the waitress that he could take the empty glasses. "Hey, maybe this means a free drink, eh?" he said laughing, trying to draw some of the tension out of the air. Free drinks were usually standard to the band playing anyway. His eyes caught Sebastian's again, they had a red tinge to them. This helped Elias relax even more. "This guy just blazed up too." he thought, smiling to himself. This night seemed like it'd be a lot of fun already.

Allie shifted the weight of her heavy bag slightly as she walked to the bus stop, her mind going over the work she had to get done tonight and wondering if her dad would be home tonight. Every so often her dad would text to tell her he would be working late and that usually meant he was in danger. One night he hadn't come home and she had waited up until 1 am when her mother had finally come to tell her he had a concussion and was in the hospital. The next time she was with her mother when they got a call to say he'd been shot in the leg, he was in hospital for a week. He wouldn't talk to her about it beyond brief statements of the danger and she had nightmares sometimes about waiting for hours to get a call saying he'd been killed.

“Allie!” A shout drew her attention and she stopped and turned to see a girl with long blonde hair hurrying to catch up with her.

“Hey Sarah.” Allie smiled in greeting and noted the nervousness not quite hidden by the answering smile on her friend's face. They walked in silence for a few minutes, Sarah seeming like she was about to speak several times before changing her mind. Allie stayed quiet, figuring her friend just needed time.

“I.. er.. do... um... never mind.” Sarah stuttered then went quiet, looking at her feet and blushing.

Allie glanced her then looked away, not wanting to embarrass her more. After a moments thought she asked quietly, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah!” Sarah exclaimed quickly. “I'm fine.”

Allie thought about pushing it, but she suddenly had a really uncomfortable feeling about the whole situation and decided to let it go. They got on the bus and the rest of the journey passed in slightly uncomfortable silence.

At home she reluctantly settled down to work on a maths assignment. She couldn't quite focus though, the uncomfortable feeling from earlier refusing to go away and she found herself checking her phone for a text from her father that she knew wouldn't come for another hour at least.

Sebastian was about to fire the new girl who looked as if she was about to cry as she graciously accepted the help from the band mate. He was left speechless as he grit his teeth but at the very moment he opened his mouth to yell, Chase came around exclaiming "Hey everything alright over here, Bass -er Boss?"He smiled and grabbed the girls arm. "I need some help with the customers over at the bar..."He trailed off, dragging her back to her stand. It was odd. Why the hell did she follow him over here to give him a drink? As soon as he left she should have known the request was nulled.

Moron.

Sebastian just shook his head and stated, "Sure, but you're still going on in five." He said icily and furrowed his brow as he stormed off towards the bar stools to yell at Chase and the girl, but when he got there he noticed Chase whispering to her. Probably some half reprimand, half words of encouragement. Sebastian sighed, he hated when Chase came to the rescue before he could fire staff but he remembered the speech. "If you keep firing people for one mistake you'll never have staff..." Yeah well maybe he should stop hiring idiots. Sebastian ran his hands through his hair as he took a seat at on a stool, hands folded eyeing the girl. If she made one more mistake today, no matter if he made her nervous, he'd have her fired. Chase noticed him and shook his his head. Poor girl was going to be fired before she started...

Isabelle debaed, she really did for a long time. But hunger was a strong instrument of motivation, and she hand't eaten anything since work. So, despite the name of the band drawing up her eyebrows, she shuffled into Bar None. She snuffed out her cigarette (you never knew what places were smoke free these days) and threw the bud away, taking the leather coat off, and sliding into one of the bar-stools..

"Hello?" she asked, trying to get the attention of the nearest bartender. She succeeded, and went forward. "Yes, you, thank you. Rum and coke, thanks."

Once her drink was in hand, the red-head turned around to get a good look a the place, and the constituents. The place looked homey, but somehow more modern than most mom-and-pop places. There was a buzz in the electrical lights that worried her slightly, but nothing too bad. She took a drink, wondering just how pathetic she probably looked right now.

I should have at least brought a friend, she thought with a growl. I look desperate...

Elias nodded before sauntering to the washroom. If Sebastian wasn't watching, there was no need to put effort into cleaning this spill. He pushed open the door, immediately greeted by the sound of a presumably drunk man already emptying his stomach into the toilet. "Classy" he thought, as he ripped some paper towel off the dispenser and left the puking man alone in the washroom. He made his way back to his table with his head down, dropped the paper towel on the ground and rubbed up the spill with the sole of his shoe. It was only when he knelt down to pick it up that he noticed the woman who had taken his table.

"I should probably start setting up up back anyway." he thought, choosing to not make a big deal out of the situation. He kicked the balled up paper towel under the table and quickly patted his pocket as he walked away. He heard the jingle of his keys as they slapped his phone, but his wallet was missing. "Must've left it at the table." he thought. Elias silent cursed himself as he made his way back to the table, bracing himself for what was likely to be an awkward social interaction with a woman he had just kicked a dirty ball of paper towel at. Ducking in and out, he leaned over the table to grab his wallet letting out a quick "Hey how ya doin?" and a grin as he sped away, hoping to avoid any insults or compaints that might get back to Sebastian. "Why is she alone anyway? Waiting for a date?". Then the thought passed his mind that she might just be a fan, and he quickly reconsidered going back and saying hi.

Oh look, someone just spilled the drink on that man. Mildly amusing at best.

Jeremy had finished his salad in near record time, and had taken to perusing the crowded bar in hopes of finding some form of entertainment from the dullness of the corner he sat in. For the most part, everything and everyone was dull to him. No bar fights, no drunken singing. Everything he had thought about middle-class bars was apparently wrong, and it frustrated him.

To think I came here for the entertainment. Get yourself together Jeremy.

He was beginning to sweat for whatever reason. Anxiety issues, perhaps; Perhaps it was fear, though that was highly doubtful.
