You joined HOUR, an organization dedicated to the preservation of history. Time travel was invented in 1908 and HOUR was founded shortly thereafter. HOUR is an organization that answers to no government, they police themselves due to the nature of their work. More often than not, time travel is used for nefarious purposes. HOUR agents are sent back in time to undue any misuse of time travel technology. You have just been promoted to Team Alpha, which means you get to work with Legendary Field Agent Chris Parker. He fought hard to be allowed to work solo after his last partner was killed on the job. He’s just coming back from a mandated six month leave of absence.
