(Spots filled for now!)
Hi. Username's Radiate, but you can call me C if you like. I'm usually a lurker about these parts, but now I've got some plots involving individuals with superhuman abilities that need filling. Note that these "plots" are considered very rough sypnoses. I remember the "gifted" genre was very popular when I first started roleplaying; so without further ado, here are my rules, and my ideas, for your kind perusal.
If interested, you may send me a PM or post here.

-I'd like a partner who considers themselves well-versed in the art of descriptive, creative, and grammatically sound writing. I'm not expecting you to pen the next literary masterpiece, but it gets hard for me to read something like: "John walkd into the room he sat down on a red char and decided he wanted to eat some fried chicken" and still retain interest.
-I usually write about three paragraphs per post, and slightly longer for an intro.
-The "18+" in the title indicates these stories will contain mature themes. "Mature" meaning things like heavy violence and profanity, and not necessarily things on the naughtier side of the spectrum.
-I'm a sucker for the "grimdark"; meaning, I love grit, tragedy, angst, death, realism (outside of the "people have superpowers" element)...all that jazz. If you like your stories fluffy and lighthearted, well...I may not be the partner for you.
-If you want romance (and I think romance is a fine storytelling element as long as its not some "love at first sight" fluff), I'm most comfortable with MxF. I am a female, though I quite enjoy playing male characters. I also enjoy playing multiple characters from time to time, but I will always have one "main".
-I try to keep post times consistent, but there will be times where consistency is not guaranteed. But I always endeavor for good communication with my partners, and would like said partners to do the same whenever possible.

C1-Character 1
C2-Character 2
Unless stated otherwise, my character preference will always be C2.
-Vengeance-
When C1 was a child, s/he came home to find his/her entire family brutally slaughtered. Standing over the corpses was a man with a grotesquely scarred face, a face which burned itself immediately into the far recesses of the child's memory. Some years later, as C1 grew into young adulthood, s/he started to develop unexplainable abilities. After accidentally killing someone in a fit of uncontrollable rage, s/he goes into hiding in an abandoned warehouse, scrounging for food in dumpsters and surviving in any way possible...until s/he is approached by C2, who claims to be able to help. Especially when C2's opening line is: "Do you remember the man with the scarred face?"
-The Project-
Down and out, C1 sees an ad in the paper requesting "healthy individuals" for a medical trial. Thinking "why the hell not", C1 calls the number and ends up in an underground laboratory, having signed his/her rights away to a shadowy company. After undergoing an excruciating series of experiments - which give him/her unnatural powers, C1 plots rebellion with others imprisoned with him/her. C1's closest confidante is C2, one of the facility's strongest, but also one of the most psychopathic.
-Our Kind-
C1, naturally gifted with superhuman abilities, joins a government organization (the Metahuman Regulation Bureau or MEREB) created to "supervise" those like him/her in addition to investigating crimes committed by superhumans, believing it to be the right thing to do. C2 is assigned as C1's partner, and they both go on several assignments before a strange find at a suspect's apartment force them into the cold realization that their organization has a hidden, malevolent, agenda - something which could mean extinction or enslavement for all superhumans.
-From Ashes-
A war between two powerful superhuman factions has resulted in apocalyptic consequences. The winning faction has established a new form of government, under which surviving non-powered humans are cruelly enslaved. Most of the losing faction who did not submit were executed long before the new dictatorship took form, but there were some remaining who went on to raise their descendants in the spirit of rebellion. C1 is one of those descendants, who joins the lower ranks of the presidential guard - those charged with "keeping the peace" no matter how brutal the method - and temporarily surrenders his/her morality in order to get closer to the president. C2 is charged with teaching C1 the ropes, even as C1 tries to draw C2 into the secret rebellion.
-Sandman-
C1 works for the government, charged with documenting known superhumans across the country. After a spate of horrifying serial killings committed by a particular superhuman (C2), C1 dispatches agents to capture and kill him. C1 accompanies his/her agents on the assignment, encountering C2 who deals him/her a minor injury, after which C1's agents kill C2. The body is wrapped and brought to a secure government facility. Time passes, and C1 starts developing powers. At the same time, the murders resume...
-Student Of The Year-
Everything was going great for C1. S/he had gotten into a great college, had stellar grades, and seemed poised to fulfill his/her career goals. Except that on the first day of college, C1's dormant powers become active, resulting in a very terrible, very public incident (in a lecture hall, or anywhere on campus grounds). Horrified at what s/he has done, C1 locks him/herself away for a time before eventually returning to class, fearing the consequences. To his/her surprise and relief, nobody remembers what happened. Class begins, and C2 takes the empty seat next to C1. "There is a place for those like us." C2 says. "You only need to know where to find it."
-Special Ones-
The Hightower Sanatorium was all C2 ever knew. Every day, more and more foster kids, orphans, and juvenile criminals were let in. Poor children, cried oblivious members of the public, stricken by mental illness. But the one thing these youths really had in common? Supernatural ability. They spent their nights in cold rooms with metal doors, pushed to their mental and physical limits during daily, forced, "training exercises". C1 is Hightower's newest resident, who is assigned C2 as a roommate. But who owns Hightower? And what do they want with these wayward youths?
