This is a story revolving around pirates, set in the era of the Victorians (1837-1901). But with this we're going to add some steampunk influences to the world; mostly focusing on stuff influenced by the Second industrial revolution. Think copper and brass robotic prosthetics instead of peg legs, robotic false limbs that can double as a weapon or a functioning limb, pistols being more intricate and having a few more functions than just shooting; even if it's just providing a light source. Not all ships belong in the water as there are the rare and few airships or the steamships that travel much faster than regular boats.
Taboos and stigmas of the old world are very present, even among pirates their or some social norms that are rarely broken. Female pirates are a thing, but they're very rare, mostly due to not being respected and finding more profit in different aspects such as brothels or taverns that Pirates would frequent. While crews of pirates sailed the seas.

One of the most memorable pirate legends that spread was the crew of the Headless Mermaid; which is known as one of the most exquisite ships and was a power to reckon with all on its own. The captain showed no mercy in battles and was known for his flare and personality. What came as a shock was the time of his death, where he died in a tavern, surrounded by his crew and family. The legend went out rather... Disappointingly. But- This is where Maddox comes in to continue and surpass his father.
Maddox Olan, known as an even deadlier captain than his father despite being in his position for a significantly less time, tales were told about him; admittedly not all are true, but nobody is sure which ones are false. Being a boundary pusher for the world he lives in, he is known for his trickery and tempting ways of being dubbed a siren by those who encounter him and live to tell the tale. Indeed, a man with the structure of a shapely woman, though not all is 'womanly'. His chest flat, but overall being a tempting person to look at if he puts on the show. Known for dressing in women's clothing and leading fearlessly, he is one to rather have on your side than against you. Though, not everything about him is as ruthless as he presents.
His crew are known to be a mix of old and new crew members, having a family admiration towards their captain and being some of the toughest men at sea.
Now, you know a little about my captain, here's our story...
We start where Maddox and his crew are seated in a tavern, through meeting your character, conversation sparks about treasure and travel. Until they are both drunk enough for their conversation to turn to flirts and suggestive jokes. As the two have become closer through talking and drinking together through hours of the night, they return to Maddox's room at the local Inn and what happens from here, well, that's for us to work on and decide.
