Hello there! As you may have gathered from the title, I'm looking for a few 1x1's with which to entertain myself! I have quite a few ideas, but before we get to that, you should know...
-I generally RP between the casual and advanced levels. Length isn't too important to me -I'm fine with an average of two to three paragraphs- but good grammar and spelling is a must. Everyone makes mistakes, of course, but please give each post at least a once over, and please don't be offended if I point out any of my pet peeve mistakes; not capitalizing the word 'I', for example.
-I'd be up for a FxM, MxM, or FxF; just tell me which you'd prefer. For FxM, I prefer to play the female role. Be aware that, in MxM and FxF, my character is generally the more dominant one. It's fine if you'd like it to be the other way around, just let me know first.
-I really have no limits, though I'd prefer for the RP to be via PMs if you anticipate wanting to make things explicit.
-I list things as pairings, but I really don't like for characters to be romantically involved in just the first few pages. I like exploring friendships, rivalries, the various relationships that can come before romance. Lust at first sight and maybe a more flirty relationship are one thing, but yeah. Relationships! Haha. If you wanted, we could even make the RP about the friendship between our two main characters, and double for romance if we are so inclined.
So! My ideas! *Indicates the role that I'd like to play, with no asterisk meaning that I'd play either role. Most ideas are listed as FxM, but genders are interchangeable. These are just short blurbs, and I can elaborate upon request.
MEDIEVAL FANTASY:
-The story of a prince and his personal knight*. I'd imagine that the RP would contain several timeskips, following them from their first meeting as children, to when he discovers that his knight is actually a female, and beyond.
-A leader of a band of mercenaries is approached one day by a mysterious woman* who says that she is the their comatose, quickly fading king's illegitimate child and the rightful heir to his throne. Civil war is brewing because the king apparently had no children whatsoever, and there are many who would take his place. The woman requests that the mercenary assist her in pressing her own claim, promising great rewards should they succeed.
-Knights in the service of two feuding countries encounter each other several times, each managing to save the other's life every time they meet. When the war is finally won, the knight on the side of the losers is taken a prisoner, but the victor saves their life once more and takes said prisoner on as a member of their personal guard. The two have fantastical adventures and, well, you get the gist.
-The warrior queen* of a southern, desert-dwelling people decides to accept the proposal by a northern king for her to marry his younger son, to cement the relationships between their two peoples. He originally dreads the idea of being traded off in such a manner, but grows to love his new people and, eventually, his new wife.
-A noble runs away from their home and high birth to pursue adventure and glory. Said noble is pursued, and eventually captured by, a bounty hunter*. The noble escapes, is recaptured, and this pattern repeats for a while before the bounty-hunter decides to give up the bounty and they end up going off on adventures together.
MODERN:
-The night of their high school prom, a young man and his high school sweetheart* are driving to their favorite spot in town, where he plans to propose. Unfortunately, they'd never arrive; another car ran a red light and plowed into theirs. All parties were injured, but the young woman would lose her life, hand clutching her boyfriend's. Fifteen years, two kids, and one divorce later, he's a drunken, bitter man in his thirties. His life is turned upside down one day when the love of his life returns, seemingly unchanged from the moments before that crash so long ago.
- (Zombie Apocalypse) Two best friends shipped out to Iraq; at the end of their tour of duty, only one returned. The survivor intended to bring his friend's grieving widow* and two small children his friend's dogtags, help them with moving to a smaller home or anything else they might need, and get blackout drunk. But his intentions turn to just keeping them alive when the apocalypse begins.
- (Biblical Apocalypse) Your character is a staunch atheist who refuses to believe even in the wake of the rapture. Mine is a disobedient angel* who, for her own reasons, is determined to ensure that yours lives through the end of days. It will have a tone very much similar to the book Good Omens, if you're familiar with it.
-I don't have much for this one, beyond my character being a teenaged runaway. Yours could be a friend who came after her, another runaway, a cop who takes her in... So yeah! Again, I don't have much for this one! But that just means that we have more to collaborate on!
