Brief history: Belle was raised in a strict household, her parents both working at lawyers and she was expected to grow up and pursue a career that her parents deemed appropriate. She was the eldest child having a younger brother by two years. She was in college studying for accounting when the zombie apocalypse hit, she and a group of students held together at the college for several weeks until they escaped to find more help when food was running low. Although Belle wasn't sure her parents were still alive or her brother she convinced them to stop at her house not finding her parents but did find her brother. The group stayed together but one by one they died and after a year and a half Belle had only her brother left. At one point during the night a zombie managed to break in through their place of hiding and bit her brother, she was forced to kill both of them and hasn't truly gotten over it.

Appearance:

History: Carmen was born and raised in the heart of Tennessee. Her family had a long history of those who went into the Service, being avid advocates of the second amendment, and were proud of their American patriotism as all Americans should be. She grew up in a family of men, which was the cause of her exposure to things that were considered quite unwomanly. Her brothers taught her how to love the good smell of greasy cars as she tinkered with them days in and out. Through her experimentation, she was able to fix up a junker, which furthered her interest in machinery.

She later took up the mantel of joining the Service at the surprise of her family. Her brothers had already enlisted, and she wanted to as well. It was a personnel thing; her friends could never understand. Unlike her brothers, she still wanted an education—particularly in engineering. Talking to an officer from the Naval Academy, she kept her grades up, enriched her extracurriculars, and spoke to her congress person for a recommendation. Having her tuition fully paid with the intent to serve her time upon graduation, she was off to the Academy.

The rumors had become worse upon her graduation and quick transition into the main naval force. Stationed at a military quarantine zone—where an international science summit took place—for the first time, she saw the infected not from screens but face to face. Though with little combat experience, as an officer, she was expected to lead. Drawing upon her training, though more oriented towards the more logistical side, she joined in the summit’s defense until it fell.
