The power begins like a gentle twilight, burning brighter as it progresses. But it does not stop at dawn, nor does it end at dusk. The brightness and the warmth have their limits, but the exhilaration rises until it becomes a point of terror. Too often, has a gifted individual become their own demise, simply by lack of knowledge and understanding. To hone such a miracle can only be taught by those of experience. To learn to control the waves that burst from one’s fingertips, or to halt the unexplainable magic that beams from one’s skin, it must first be captured. It sprouts as an unfamiliarity, but grows rapidly into fear. This gift of power feels righteous at first, but painful the next.

But fear not, for they are always watching. Teleportation is but a mere spell to the High Sorcerer’s of Eastwood Academy. Once your magic displays high enough to become tracked, they’ll fetch you on the spot and make sure that your pretty skin doesn’t singe to burnt leather. From there, you’re introduced to the Noble Sorcerer’s, those that have graduated and have pledged their loyalty to the Sorcerer’s Circle. In that moment, it’s explained that it’s no curse that you’re born with, but rather a choice. A budding sorcerer is full of distraught power, capable of cindering a whole stadium into ash, but they are also at their most vulnerable. In the moment of capture, the choice is presented: “Will you attend Eastwood Academy and hone your gift, or will you become stripped of your power and live a normal life?” But choose wisely, for this is the only time your choice is given.

To those who choose to face this uncertainty, you are now accepted into Eastwood Academy. It’s not all potions and wands, runes and charms—it’s strenuous learning and constant ridicule from the upperclassmen. In the realm of Sorcerer’s there is no room for the weak, but there are plenty of seats within the competition. Where will you place? Will you be but a silent mouse, only to eventually be used for a ritual spell, or will you be among the few who are lucky enough to get a chance at becoming a Noble Sorcerer? 

But the only question to ask yourself now is: will you attend Eastwood Academy?

This is a short premise to what I have planned for this RP! It’ll be very character-driven, though I do have a heavy plotline that will take place in which will be super engaging and full of mystery. I’ve left the details out as I want to leave this short and sweet to see what kind of interest I can gather. If I have enough players interested, I’ll create the OOC and write out the contents of the RP: schools of magic, NPCs, Sorcerer’s history, locations of interest, etc.

The age will be 18+, though I do want everyone to be a beginner Sorcerer at the start of the RP, no matter the age. Your character’s backstory will end with their meeting of the Noble Sorcerer’s (I’ll explain how that would go in the OOC), and the first posts will begin with their entrance to the academy.
