Seth heard gun shots, he kept hearing them he whistled for Jericho as he got on his horse. Riding toward the gun shots, he saw a guy shooting at Demeter once he caught up, his horse was faster than the guys. He wounded the horse the guy was on then shot the gun out of the mans grip. He quickly put his gun in his holster on his thigh on his good leg. He quickly caught up with Demeter, "I bought us a few hours in the least it'll take several hours for him to get a new horse." Jericho was running beside his horse, "good boy, we can head for republic city the seas not far from here we can make it and take a boat to republic city."

''Seth!!'' Demeter said and looked shocked. She looked back at the horse from her brother and looked down. ''You have to go... He... I...'' she sighed and looked at Seth. ''Seth.. The real killer of that guard is my brother... He has killed a lot of people.. Sometimes to protect me, sometimes to get food... Sometimes because I told him that they were rich...'' she said and looked down. She knew he would not like this and probably wouldn't want to continue this journey with her. She swallowed and looked down.

Seth looked at her and raised an eyebrow, "I don't really care Demeter, I've lived on the streets I've seen kids kill guards and other people to survive." He looked up the road, "I lied when I said I didn't kill anyone I've killed only two people and that's because they had forced my hand it was to survive, Demeter it doesn't really matter if you helped him lure them to there deaths, but still it was your brother who killed them not you and I understand that."

Demeter looked at him and kinda felt revealed yet she knew they had to look for a place to hide. ''Seth..'' she said and stopped her horse. ''My brother is the one that made you look like a killer... He is a master in disappearing.. He knows how to find everyone that lured him into something'' she said. ''He is extremely dangerous... We have to get away for now and make a plan... The only way to... to make him pay for this... is to kill him... He is no earth bender... he used guns for everything...'' she said and she swallowed. ''We need a safe place.. then, and only then... I can tell you what ever I know from him'' she said.

Seth nodded, he only knew one place where they would be safe. It was an old earth bending town he was born in, it was hard to find because they put walks around the town that looked like rocks. Only very skilled earth benders could do that and Seth was one of those people. "Well we might as well get moving then, my friend in my home town has been keeping my parents place in check since I inherited the place." He looked at Demeter, then got his horse into a trot they would be there in an hour.

Demeter followed him and looked down. ''Seth... Do you have a knife?'' she asked and looked at him. ''I.. I know a way that my brother knows where I am..'' she said and pointed to a little scare on her arm. ''A chip..'' she said and stopped her horse. ''If we do not get it out my arm now.. He will find your home town and burn it down..'' she said and swallowed. ''If.. If we cut it out and give it to a animal.. then.. Well... Then we are safe...'' she said and looked at him.

Seth got the knife out of its sheath from the back of his waist, he got off his horse. He walked over to her, pointing the tip at the scar, "I'm gonna warn you now this is gonna hurt, so brace yourself." He was trying to be as gentle as he could as he made the cut on her arm and getting the chip out of her arm. Then seeing the lion cheetah he stuck the chip in a piece of meat throwing it toward the lion cheetah watching it eat the meat and the chip with it. He got some bandged out and wrapped her arm up, "we better get moving again, alright I won't let your brother hurt you he has to go through me first. "

Demeter closed her eyes and kept her teeth on each other when he cut her and got the chip out. She looked at what he did and when he said that her brother was not gonna hurt her, she blushed and looked at him. ''T-thank you'' she said and looked down for a moment. ''Come on.. We have to move on as you said'' she said and looked at him. ''We are both gonna be fine.. I will protect you.. You will protect me.. Its all going to be okay'' she said and tried to smile. She let her horse ride again and looked around.

Seth got back on his horse, putting the knife back in its sheath. They would be riding all day it would at least take all day they would rest at night. They didn't need to be riding when they were half tired. They still had a lot of ground to cover, he kept looking forward "hey Demeter just letting you know now, if your brother catches up with us I will fight him you just run he wants you dead more than he wants me, he'll keep me alive as long as I lead him to you. I won't do that I'll lead him off course, and then try to kill him before I get to far away from you."

''Are you crazy? He knows how to manipulate me... Of course he will hunt for me to get you... He knows by now that I told you that he was the killer'' Demeter said and she looked at him. ''He probably doesn't know that I know about the chip.. He will lean on that for another few hours... After that he will start to use my picture to ask people if they saw me or what ever he will do... When he finds me, he hopes to find you.. He knows that you want to turn him in.. He will kill you right away....'' she said and sighed. ''Seth.. If one of us is going to be a prey to get him killed... It will be me...'' she said and was not gonna let Seth get killed by this.

Seth shook his head, "if your going to face your brother I am staying by you so you can't tell me to go anywhere because I won't no matter how much you want me to." He offered up a smile, "cause we watch each other's back we don't leave the other behind no matter how bad the odds are stacked against us, because I'm not going to leave your side till I know he's dealt with and even then I might stuck around you for a little bit longer."

''Your scary now Seth'' Demeter said but smiled, she leaned over to him and laid her hand on his. ''It is okay.. Together we will be strong enough to deal with my brother... and if we can deal with him... I know we can deal with everything'' she said and looked at him. Right now, if they would not be in such danger.. She would tell him that she likes him, a lot more than the friends way. She sat back normal on her horse and looked in front of her, she stroked trough her hair and sighed. ''I've never thought about running away from my own brother.. But you know... I think I have done that so many times already'' she said and sighed.

Seth smiled a little, it was getting dark there was a cave close by. He got off his horse and lead them to the cave, " we'll rest here for the night, then keep going in the morning." He lead his horse inside, the horse gave a shaky whine, "I know boy you don't like to be in caves but just for one night." The horse gave a nod, then Seth tide him to a rock, he slowly lowed himself to the ground and grimaced as pain went through his leg.

Demeter jumped of her horse and let her follow Seths horse. When he made the sound of pain, she walked to him after tided up her horse next to his. ''Seth... You really need to rest for a few days...'' she said and helped him sit down and then lay. She was bending over him for a brief moment but got straight up right after that. ''I'll take a knife and find us something to eat... Keep the gun close to you..'' she said and looked at him. She would not take no as a answer, yet she also knew that he would say no.

Seth knew he was in no shape to get up, he closed his eyes then opened them again. "Just be careful if need be I have a few snares in my pack, if you need them." His leg hurt, he was in no shape at all to even stand. He was pushing himself to much by getting himself onto his feet, he knew he needed rest and knew he needed to stay off his feet for a couple of days.

Demeter nodded and smiled. ''Just.. take some rest, try to sleep some...'' she said and then left the cave for a small hunt on some food. She never was a great hunter, thinking it was not nice to kill bunny's for eating, she was way to soft hearted. But she could find some berry's maybe that were eatable or some fruit. You never knew. She was already gone for twenty minutes when she finally found something. She took the berry's and the fresh grass for the horses that she found and looked around carefully. When she thought she had enough for the two horses and Seth and herself, she went back.

She entered the cave and looked at Seth. She laid the grass in front of the horses which started to eat happily. She sat down and felt Seths head, which was way to warm. ''Oh no... you have a fever...'' she said and got even more worried. She took his back he had with him and found only some extra clothes. Then she took her back and grabbed the blanket she had taken with her, she laid it on Seth. She stroked trough his hair and then took the bowl she had taken with her. It started to rain and so she placed the bowl outside, waiting for it to fill and then walked back to Seth. She ripped off a piece of her dress and after making it wet with the water, she laid it on his head. ''Oh Seth.. Please you have to get better...'' she whispered and used her lap as a pillow for him now.

Seth groaned, the fever wasn't helping and his leg hurt. Either way he wouldn't be on his feet for awhile, he coughed. Then slowly started relaxing, he couldn't get to relaxed the fever and his leg had made sure of that anyway. His leg was still throbbing with pain for getting onto his feet to soon, he heard Demeter lightning flashed in the sky as the storm raged on.

Demeter replaced the wet cloth every two minutes to keep it cool. She stroked trough his hair to keep him calm, she hoped at least that it would work. She looked at him but didn't know what else she could do about his pain. She wished she could help him better. She looked at the horses and saw that even though the storm was raging on, they were quite calm, she was very happy about that. She bend over Seth to refresh the cloth again and laid it on his forehead again. After that she stroked over his cheeks and looked at him. ''Rest Seth... I think that that is the best thing for you to do now'' she whispered and then planted a kiss on his lips, very soft and light.

Seth felt a light pressure on his lips, he didn't panicked he knew it was Demeter. He kissed her back, before getting as comfortable as he could and fell asleep, he let Demeter's hand stroke through his hair it was one of the things that was keeping him relaxed. His pain momentarily forgotten as he was sleeping. Still he knew once he woke up it would hit him.

Demeter felt him kiss back and smiled a little bit. When he drove of to sleep, she stopped the kiss and kept stroking trough his hair and replacing the cloth with a new one every two minutes. Slowly the fever got down and she removed the cloth so he could get used a little to the normal temperature of the cave. She looked at the horses for a short while and saw that they had found each other to stay calm with and she smiled. She looked back at Seth and was wondering what he was dreaming about. She hoped with all her heart it was something peace full.. Since only rest could heal his wounds right now.
