I keep seeing how often people bring up Terrifier, and more and more I see people telling me they love the movies, and it honestly feels like there’s still a lot of untapped potential there. Art is talked about a lot, but rarely explored in a slower, more character-focused way, and that’s what got this idea stuck in my head. I’d be playing Art, while the other writer would take on the role of a survivor, someone ordinary, flawed, and very much not prepared for what they’ve stumbled into.
What I’m aiming for isn’t just shock scenes stacked on top of each other, but a roleplay that leans into tension, silence, and that awful feeling of being hunted without always seeing the hunter. The survivor should feel like a real person, with fears, habits, and maybe even bad choices that make things worse. The dynamic could stay firmly in horror and survival, or, if both writers are comfortable, drift into something more twisted and unsettling, an imbalanced romance that’s wrong on purpose and never quite safe. Nothing is locked in stone, and I’m open to discussing tone and boundaries before anything starts.
The setting can be flexible too. It could take place in a familiar Terrifier-style environment, or something more original that still carries that grimy, isolated vibe. Abandoned buildings, empty streets, places where help should exist but very clearly doesn’t. I like the idea of letting scenes breathe, focusing on atmosphere and small details rather than rushing from one big moment to the next, even if that means slower pacing at times.
I’m mainly looking for a writing partner who enjoys longer posts, descriptive writing, and exploring psychological horror as much as physical danger. Someone who’s okay with discomfort, moral unease, and letting things get quiet before they get bad again. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, or even if you’re just curious and want to toss ideas around, feel free to reach out. We can sort out details, limits, and expectations together, since I’d rather do that upfront then have things feel awkward later on.
