Thanks for checking out my interest check! I’ve just a guy who’s been writing for over a decade looking to connect with some fellow writers and make some friends! Short term roleplays are fine, and if we hit it off, the potential to be long term roleplay partners is certainly there! It’s fine just to keep it to straight business, but I like chatting with my partner, brainstorming ideas in OOC, and some banter to make sure we’re both having a good time. Communication is key! That’s my vibe.
As for what I want, I need my partner to be 18+ strictly. I’m an adult, I require my partner to also be an adult. My roleplays normally include dark, adult themes at times, and I just feel more comfortable this way. On the topic of it, yes I do enjoy writing smut, but it’s not required. If we do write it, I need a majority plot and story as well, the nsfw bits need to make sense and tie into the plot. No smut for smut sake, we’re not sexting out here. For the reasons mentioned above I primarily roleplay over PM.
I write at a high casual/low advanced level. I know depending where we are in the story, intros will be longer, dialogue or a fight maybe be shorter, so I always want quality over quantity. As long as there’s genuine effort put in and I’m not getting one liners, we’ll be just fine. I normally write to match the level of my partner!
And with anything rules wise or what we’re both comfortable and not comfortable with, I’m happy to discuss that right away and lay some ground rules. I want us both to enjoy the writing and have a good time, and at any time during our writing if something comes up, never hesitate to speak up!
Now as for what I like to write, I’m normally very open. I’ve tried and written everything twice it feels like, so I have some ideas on standby and I’m always open to hearing ideas or coming up with one together! Collaboration is always so much fun. However, here are a few themes that are my favorites:
Medieval Fantasy
Sci Fi
Post Apocalypse
Super Heroes
Pirates
Fandoms (Books especially)
Mythology
And much more! In all of my roleplays though, I do love a good romance. I’m a sucker for romance, and almost every single roleplay I’ve done, it’s involved. Now the characters don’t need to fall in love right away, I do like a slow burn or an enemies to lovers, but action, adventure, and love is right up my alley. With some horror, drama, and dark twists along the way.
I’m also perfectly happily doubling up and playing multiple characters if it makes sense! I generally play male characters as my main ones, but I can play either role just fine. My preference is that my partner plays at least a female as their main character.
