The words below are the MAIN PLOT ONLY! There will be as many player-driven sidequests as you like during the many Arcs. Random events, fun shit like that. Who knows, all out characters may just go out and get drunk one night, and have a night of debauchery on the town! Or something like that.
===========================================================================
The I.A.O. A well known organization of elite killers from all across the Galaxy. Every species, subspecies, and skillset you can imagine. The best of the best that work in the shadows, called on for only the most difficult jobs and the most high-priority targets. They demand immense amounts of Credits for every job.
But they have never failed.
No man ever targeted by the I.A.O has survived more than a few months before meeting his brutal end. And no body of an assassin of I.A.O has ever been recovered or even seen, leading to the belief that they are not only the best of the best, but immortal. But not all beliefs are true. Those of the I.A.O are entirely mortal, they have simply never met a target, an army, or a fleet of ships that can come close to outmatching them.
Soon, that will change. In the midst of their own solo jobs, six of the I.A.O's greatest are soon to be called home the moment their current jobs are completed. Someone just payed nearly seven billion Credits for the death of not one man- But the assassination of all sixteen of the High Council. And with each Council Member rests an army of defense. A job only the I.A.O can handle.
===========================================================================
So yeah, that's the base plot. We'll run through Sixteen main Arcs, each one involving a different Council Member's death, as our six assassins fight through the ranks of their defenses. A list of playable races will be put up below, along with a much less in-depth list of other races we may encounter along the way.
:PLAYABLE RACES:
Doraen:
A race of Dragon-people, the Doraen hail from their home planet and close-lying colony planets of Harenfell. While the Doraen are truthfully quite peaceful people, they make some of the fiercest warriors in the universe. They are able to withstand temperatures up to nearly 3000 degrees Fahrenheit, and down to -1000 degrees Fahrenheit, making them the perfect weapon on hazardous-climate planets. Their thick, scaled skin acts as its own armor. Standard ballistics and anything duller than a razor can't even hope to pierce their hide.
Home Planet-
Harenfell.

Special Abilities-
The Doraen possess wings, and thus are, yes, capable of flight.
As stated, they can withstand the most extreme temperatures.
Their skin acts as its own armor, protective against just about anything outside of energy-based weaponry.
Traits-
Lifespan-- Anywhere from 300 to 500 years. (Some rare cases have lived to 1000, considered blessed by fire and revered by their people.)
Average Height-- 7'-8'. (Male) 6'-6'7" (Female)
Average Weight-- 300-400 lbs (Male) 200-300 lbs (Female)
Skin colors-- While their skin usually ranges from black to light tan, the scales that cover certain parts of their body (Usually the head, back, legs, arms and tails) can range through any color at all.
Eyes-- Their eyes are akin to those of lizards, with slit pupils and coloring ranging through all colors from reds to golds, purples to blacks, greens and oranges- Truly, the colors stretch through the entire spectrum, just as their scales do.
Base Model--
Aeonan:
A vaguely demonic-appearing race of people, the Aeonan are commonly known to be thieves, pirates, assassins, and mercenaries. They are also commonly referred to as "The Faceless Race", due to the fact that whenever an Aeonan comes of age, they are made a hood, imbued with magics long lost to any but the Aeonan, which they can never again take off. It hides their faces in complete darkness. They hail from a single home planet on the very edge of a solar system long since lost in shadows, un-named and un-charted. They are a tall, athletic, and utterly deadly people.
Home Planet-
Un-named.

Special Abilities-
The Aeonan possess long, slender tails, seemingly harmless, but they are remarkably strong, often used as a third arm of sorts.
Due to being naturally attuned to otherwise lost 'magics', the Aeonan are capable of completely vanishing from the visible plain when in even lightly-shadowed locations.
Aeonan are a naturally athletic people, remarkably so, and are capable of moving at high speeds, jumping remarkable distances, and generally being agile pains in the ass.
Traits-
Lifespan-- 700-800 on average.
Average Height-- 6'-7' (Male) 6-6'6" (Female)
Average Weight-- 190-250 lbs (Male) 150-190 lbs (Female)
Skin Colors-- While no Aeonan can remove their hood- They literally can't, the things are grafted to their heads- they -can -remove the rest of their clothes whenever they feel like it, and their skin tends to be dark-grey to black in hue.
Eyes-- No one has ever seen an Aeonan without their hood, and thus no one knows that colors or shapes their eyes may take, or if they even have eyes at all. (For OOC purposes: Yes, they do have eyes, and their night vision is impossibly good, allowing them to see in complete darkness as if it were broad day-light.)
Base Model--
Georenel:
A race of people hailing from a small moon orbiting a gas giant, their home seems entirely inhospitable. And it is- To everything but stone. And that is what makes up these people. They are, quite simply, animated rock people. Golems. They make for excellent warriors, even stronger and tougher than the Doraen, but much slower, and grounded. They seem to require no sustenance at all, and are entirely ageless, though due to being unable to reproduce, they are quickly dying out as a species.
Home Planet-
Grennche

Special Abilities-
The Georenel are quite literally made entirely of stone, and thus are impervious to most any form of physical damage, outside of heavy ballistics and explosives.
Walking giants, they are capable of lifting weights unimaginable to most races, and demolishing objects previously thought impervious to many- Though some things can still stop them, few as those things are.
Traits-
Lifespan-- Immortal
Average Height-- 8'-10' (Male & Female)
Average Weight-- 2 to 3 Tons.
Skin Color-- Their skin is stone, so its hue varies greatly.
Eyes-- The Georenel don't appear to -have- eyes, apparently relying on some other form of sense to 'see'. (OOC purposes: They 'see' using sound. If you've ever seen DareDevil, you'll know what that looks like.)
Base Model--
Neetch:
The Neetch are a race of Slime people! That's right, slime! Goo! That goopy green shit! They don't seem to -have- a home planet, likely the result of some kind of failed science experiment. Due to being made of slime, they can take -any- shape whatsoever, at will, and are capable of reproducing merely by splitting themselves in two, and growing by ingesting pretty much anything that moves- Though they never grow beyond a certain point before automatically splitting in two. That certain point? About the size of a ten year old. Thus, they are seen as a remarkably 'adorable' race when they choose to take the form of something not menacing. They are a naturally playful race of people, (And really quite dim witted) but can prove deadly in a variety of ways. For instance- they might ingest you. Or suffocate you and -then- ingest you.
Home Planet-
N/A
Special Abilities-
Being made of slime, the Neetch can take any form at all. -Any- form. (Though taking weapon-like forms is pretty much useless, as you'll just end up flopping around like a flaccid.... Well, you get the picture.)
By spreading themselves entirely over the body of another race- Though only ones small enough for them to do so to- they can more or less take control of physical movement, using the other's body like a puppet.
As far as anyone can tell, the Neetch are completely immortal, not just in age, but they -cannot die-. Hit them, shoot them, smash them, let them rot in a cell without food for years, and they'll be perfectly fine, and entirely healthy. Physical attacks are completely useless, they just go right through them. They are apparently entirely heat resistant, do not freeze, nothing vaporizes or melts them.... They are literally impervious to death. However, they are very small, and very wimpy.
They have no gender, and reproduce merely by splitting in two.
They have no organs. Literally, they're just sentient piles of goop.
Traits-
Lifespan-- Immortal
Average Height-- 4'-4'6" (Fed and un-split)
Average Weight-- 90 lbs (Fed and un-split)
Skin color-- Usually seen in green or purple, some take orange or black coloration, and you will often see Neetch of any other color. Apparently, it depends on their diet.
Eyes-- Variable. Sometimes they have them, sometimes they don't- Their choice really, depending on the random form they take at any given moment. (OOC purposes- For unknown reasons, they seem to possess a full array of senses, despite lacking the actual anatomy required.)
Base Model--
Unavailable. (Any form at all, and whatnot.)
Really, you're a human, I shouldn't have to explain this. We come from Earth, we're ass holes, we're entirely mortal, yadda yadda yadda.
Krevet:
A race of dog-like people, the Krevet are truly the dogs bipedal, space-age-intelligence counterpart. They are fiercely loyal, naturally intelligent, highly athletic, and absolutely love to piss on trees. Sadly, they also share the less useful traits of Earth-dogs, living short lives, being color-blind, and other such things. Just as it is with Earth-dogs, Krevet vary widely in sub-species, from Yorkie-people to English-Mastiff-people. Most of the smaller sub-species are often seen as traders and merchants, or entertainers, while the larger sub-species are usually warriors of some kind, often bonding themselves to a person of another species and acting as an ever-loyal companion and body-guard. They hail from a small home-world near the center of the known universe, full of trees and wilderness.
Home Planet-
Yarentel

Special Abilities-
Krevet have -extraordinary- senses of sight, hearing, smell, and taste.
They are naturally athletic, just as the Aeonan, and can run at high speeds, jump incredible distances, and have astounding stamina. (Though speed and jumping distance, etc, tend to depend more on the size of the sub-species. Wiener-dog people won't be jumping forty yards, folks.)
Due to having muzzles just as Dogs do, and thus flat tongues, Krevet are incapable of speaking any language but their own growls, barks, snaps and rumbles. However, the race has designed a clever machine to transmit their thoughts to words. The machines are worn around their necks like collars, and don't -sound- like machines at all, the voices given entirely realistic-sounding and unique to every person.
Traits-
Lifespan-- 14-20 years on average.
Average Height-- Depends on the sub-species!
Average Weight-- Depends on the sub-species!
Skin Color-- Most Krevet have -fur-, and said fur matches the coloration, length, and density of their dog counterpart. (For instance, a Krevet with a Husky-sub-species would have long, thick black-and-white fur.)
Eyes-- Krevet are entirely color-blind, seeing only on the grey-scale. This makes for very poor bomb-disposal teams. :P Eye-color varies from sub-species to sub-species.
Base Model--
(Remember, this is just for basic anatomy's sake, size, weight, fur, and other such traits depend entirely on Sub-species.)

You get the point.
Aerreck:
A race of bird-people, the Aerreck are usually seen to have bird-of-prey subspecies. Well, always, really. You don't have little chickadee people running about. Hawks, eagles, vultures, ravens- All commonly seen sub-species in the Aerreck. They are a natural species for the place of warriors, and in fact come from an extremely military-based culture, on their home world far off in space.
Home Planet-
Neneveir

Special Abilities-
Possessing wings, the Aerreck are capable of flight.
Their eyesight is unparalleled.
They have the habit of 'screeching', which tends to be loud and shrill enough to burst ear-drums at close range.
Traits-
Lifespan-- 60-100 years on average.
Average Height-- 6'-7' (Male & Female)
Average Weight-- 200-250 lbs (Male & Female)
Skin Color-- Their feather coloration depends on the sub-species.
Eyes-- Same as above.
Base Model--
Remember, sub-species! This is just a basic.
:NON-PLAYABLE RACES:
This, I leave open to the players. Make something up! Have a funny little green man sell you snacks, have a giant snake-man try and kill us! Non-playable races are endless. If you can imagine it, I'll probably allow it. For now, a few to start:
Harren- A race of cat-people, commonly found as traveling merchants. Silver tongued, sneaky, and always out to get the best deal; for themselves.
Droid- Just what it sounds like. Robots! Found in varying forms all over the universe, droids are A.I driven machines, serving countless purposes.
Teigrin- Turtle people! Slow, happy, and wise people, they carry their homes on their backs and tend to run inns and taverns. They rarely stop smiling.
Inegrat- Small, traveling merchants, just like the Harren. Except -these- people share similarities with weasels, and are very honest in their trading.
:TECH:
There are many levels of tech in this RP. Some races have access to energy-weaponry, shields, lasers, and other such things, while some may still prefer swords, shields and spears, and some are still trapped in the modern age, using ballistics and explosives on the human scale.
Space travel has reached a high level of proficiency in most of the universe now. There are still some races that remain grounded on their homeworlds, but most have taken to the stars.
The FTL Drive-
Faster Than Light drives, used for, you guessed it, traveling faster than the speed of light. Accessible by most races already in space.
WHG-
Worm Hole Generator. Most of the highly-advanced races have access to these. While expensive, it can save years of travel time. Planet not close enough for a ten minute FTL drive jump? Use this, and you'll be there in mere moments, so long as you know how to use it.... And a Harren didn't rip you off and give you a faulty generator.
Space suits have reached a very respectable level all over the universe. No longer are they massively bulky and unreliable! Skin-tight suits can be worn -under- your travel clothes, maintaining your body's complete range of motion and flexibility while keeping you alive in the vacuum of space. Helmets retract and fold up into tiny squares on the back of ones neck, only to fold out into a full helmet when needed- Dead Space style, for those of you who have played. Look it up if you haven't, you'll see how it works. The suits also generate their own oxygen, giving you a limitless supply. (Though Neetches and Georenals don't need suits at all. And an Aeonan's hood acts as its own helmet.)
Weapons and armor have reached remarkable heights in the space-age, though some races and people in those races have their preferences, possibly for older tech.
Energy-Based:
Energy based weapons often take the form of plasma projectiles and high-frequency vibrations on close-quarters weapons, allowing them to heat up and cut through just about anything.
Armor made to counter Energy-based weaponry tends to consist of a small generator worn on one's belt or back, which produces a small-radius shield of energy, stopping projectiles of all kinds, from ballistics to plasma. However, the shields are easily pierced by close-quarters weapons, particularly blades- Even entirely normal blades. The energy field is invisible to the naked eye, however can be picked up on thermal sensors. The shield -does- overheat after taking enough hits, or being on too long, and then needs time to cool down and recharge.
Electricity-Based:
This is where we find the infamous Star-wars style laser rifles and such- Though thankfully, no lightsabers. Laser projectiles are the most commonly seen weapon here, and no close-quarters weapons were really -specified- here. Though you will get the occasional shock-glove and such.
Armor made to counter Electricity-based weaponry usually consists of special-material plating, meant to absorb and harmlessly vent the heat of a laser projectile, though it will overheat given enough hits, and the lasers will melt through it. It is almost entirely useless against plasma energy, and only semi-useful against ballistics. This armor tends to be pretty form-fitting, but isn't overly flexible, making for somewhat limited motion. It's highly effective against close-quarters weapons, excluding energy-based blades, which cleave right through it in most cases.
Ballistics-Based:
This would be the weaponry we all know and use in the real world. Rifles, pistols, grenades- Bullets. No fancy shit here. While plasma and electricity based weapons have pretty much the same variety, we can get more specific here in terms of gun types.
Armor is the same as we see today. Kevlar vests, helmets, etc. Fitting, kind-of-flexible, but it won't protect against -shit- outside of ballistics.
Medieval-Stuff:
Swords, spears, plate-mail armor, bow and arrows! That's right, we have it even here in a sci-fi RP!
Now, you may be wondering 'why the fuck would I pick anything but energy?'. I'll tell you- Because you have to. For instance- If you play a human, I expect you to at least -start- with standard ballistics weapons, until your character ICly works up the Credits to buy something better. Doraen? They're a plate-mail and sword wielding culture, you'll be -lucky- to get them to use anything other than a sword. While everyone has reached space travel, some people just won't give up the classics.
This doesn't mean you'll only last five seconds against a hail of plasma while you stand around in metal. I'll allow pretty much everyone to use a shield-generator from the energy-based armor, simply put -over- their races natural selection.
Racial Choices:
Doraen-
The Doraen are an old school people, relying on swords, shields, and other such weapons, and armor from leather to plate-mail.
Aeonan-
The Aeonan are an energy-wielding people- But never at a range. They pretty much refuse to use long-ranged weaponry, much preferring to take energy blades to close combat and take out enemies silently and from behind, though they respect the power of long ranged weapons, and thus keep energy-shields close.
Georenel-
The Georenel use no weaponry or armor whatsoever, relying only on their unnatural strength and stone bodies for protection.
Neetch-
Like the Georenel, the Neetch have never bothered with weapons or armor, considering they're immortal and have no need for the items. If they have to attack someone, they'll likely just wrap themselves around their foe and smother them to death with goo.
Humans-
Humans are highly versatile, able to use any kind of weapon or armor sent their way. However, they tend to -prefer- standard ballistics. (And thus ICly, anyone playing a human will start with ballistics for weapons.)
Krevet-
The Krevet are an advanced people, using energy weapons and armor to their full potential.
Aerreck-
Like the Krevet, the Aerreck use energy based tech to its fullest.
:CURRENCY:
This is a fun subject. The currency in this universe will be called "Credits". And we'll actually -use- credits here! In the CS, you will have an inventory section. Throughout the RP, you will earn Credits and add them to said inventory. I will set up a post soon that works as a store! When you want new gear for your character, PM me and we'll sort out the spending of your credits on items. Your character will earn credits for just about every deed they do, as there will be -plenty- of side-quests during the main storyline. The store will hold everything you can imagine in the terms of weapons and armor, (Literally, if I forget to put it up and you want it, throw it at me and I'll price it.) and plenty in terms of recreation. For instance, get yourself a hoverboard!
Your characters will also develop IC relationships with two traders! Grenk, the lovable and fair Inegrat merchant, and Raffik, the cunning and somewhat irritating Harren merchant. Depending on your characters relations with these two traders, prices may go up or down on items! I will decide at random which merchant you run into when you decide to go shopping.
:RULES:
1: All forum rules apply.
2: Don't be a prick.
3: No G-modding, Meta-gaming, power-gaming, marys sues or gary lues.
4: Power-gaming, mary sues, and gary lues are -very- flexible terms in this RP, seeing as we're all -supposed- to be badass motherfuckers. Still, there is a line, I'll let you know if you cross it.
5: I am the GM. I may not be a perfect GM, but I will do my job. My word is final, but I am not unreasonable.
6: Take arguments to me, or the PMs.
7: This RP is expected to have violence, gore, and dark themes. If somehow you manage to mix romance in, I won't mind, but anything Smut-like needs to be taken to PMs. However, I do expect you to go as in depth and dark as you like in gore, murder, and violence. If someone crosses a line, let me know, I'll talk to them.
8: Sorry for all the rules.
9: To prove you read this, put "I LIKE TEIGRINS!" at the bottom of your CS. Because who doesn't like happy turtle people?
:CS:
Name: (Come up with something fitting to your race, please. No Doraen named Ted, or something.)
Race: (Pick only from the ones under PLAYABLE RACES. :P)
Age:
Appearance: (I'd like a picture and small paragraph of details the picture may not display. For instance- plumage on an Aerreck, or small details on height, weight, and patterns of color in fur, skin, feathers, goo, whatever.)
Personality: (This doesn't have to be extensive, we'll learn through RP, but something basic to start with is good.)
History: (Optional. You may force us to learn through RP, instead of just reading it here. I know that's what I'm doing.)
Inventory: (THIS IS IMPORTANT! I want to see all armor, weapons, and gadgets that you want your character to own in this space- preferably in a hider- because as I stated, this will change. You can buy and sell items, things may break when you least expect it. Put your Credit count at the bottom, like this. "CRT: #Insertnumber#". Everyone starts with 1000 credits.)
Other: (Put anything extra or racial-specific here.)
