Thankfully the long lull between everyone arriving and the special press conference didn’t take that much longer, Garth himself wondering if things were ever going to get moving as he found himself watching others interact. It was fairly non-eventful, Captain America and Superman shared the honors as they talked about the Justice League’s recent things, introduced each of the young heroes that up their new ‘Young Heroes Initiative’, and spoke about their plans and goals as a group for the upcoming year. Each of the young heroes got a chance to be introduced, say a small speech at the podium, little stuff, nothing amazing. Aqualad had one prepared, it wasn’t anything special but it meant a lot to Garth. Crowd paid attention, gave him a nice response.

As the press conference ended all of the young heroes were wrangled together, and after being given their Justice League ID passes, what looked to be fairly normal passes. Only created through Stark Industries and featuring things like instant fingerprint detection. With electroshock defense if someone picks it up that doesn’t match the heroes prints. Garth could only look on quietly as they started to enter the doors. In awe of finally seeing the incredible building up close. He had always seen it, heard about it from his mentor, but seeing it in person was an entirely different beast.

“Of course, with your new memberships, you now have full access to the gym…” Captain America had taken the young heroes personally to explore the headquarters. “Of course the library as well.” As they came in Captain America gave a welcoming gesture to the small crowd. “Go ahead take a seat, make yourselves at home.” Garth quickly took a seat in one of the leather chairs in the room, already very much enjoying himself as he leaned back, man this thing was comfy. Before Captain America could continue Batman, Green Arrow, as well as some other more grown heroes came up. “Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we need to have a debriefing on this subject matter Wolverine wants to go into.” Batman reminded Captain America. “Alright very well.” The Captain had turned to Batman and the others, Garth remembering instantly what the topic was. “Weapon X…” He muttered to himself quietly.

“Alright Bucky.” Roy said holding his upper arm with his left hand, trying to rub the soreness away. “Just thought I’d say hi.” He muttered to himself before sighing. The guy clearly still needed time. As Roy turned around he bumped into Kate, who had been staring up at the giant Hank’s backside.
“Watch where you’re oh… It’s you.” She said. Roy and Kate stared at each other before laughing and fist bumping. “I see you met Bucky.” She said. Roy shook his head.
“If you could say that…” Roy said. Kate just shrugged.
“Clint said he’s still suffering culture shock. Or maybe he just doesn’t like you.” She said teasing.

Roy brushed her off before they were called up and forced to stand on a stage while Cap and Superman took turns making the same long speech about “The New Generation of Justice.” Roy looked at the others; the only one who seemed like they wanted to give a speech was Garth. Not that he could see the look on Spider Man’s face. Roy just spun a quick yarn, paraphrasing what he and Ollie had talked about when he decided to stop being Green Arrow’s sidekick and become his own hero as Red Arrow. The crowd seemed to eat it up. Even if he heard a few smart-alecky remarks to the effect of “Speedy was such a stupid name anyway… it made no sense!” Roy just returned to his spot in the line and did his best Batman impression. Kate walked up to the podium and shrugged.
“I’m not much for making speeches.” Then she turned around and stood next to Spidey. “There you go webhead.” She whispered as the crowd laughed. “Warmed them up for ya.”

Finally after the whole thing was over they were given their own ID cards. Roy smiled. “Finally we’re getting somewhere!” He said aloud, twirling it in his fingers. Before admiring the holographic image of himself. “Neat…” He said looking at it from different angles.
“Of course the library as well.” Captain America said as he showed them around. Roy crossed his arms, he already knew this. “Go ahead take a seat, make yourselves at home.” Roy looked around. Everyone had taken a seat. There was a muffled sound as he looked at one of the chair, it had been Kate.
“It was the chair I swear.” She said to no one in particular. Roy just looked at the adults. Superman, Batman, Cap, Iron Man, Hawkeye and GA among others were clearly up to something.
“…We need to have a debriefing on this subject matter Wolverine wants to go into.” Batman reminded Captain America. “Alright very well.” The Captain nodded. Roy felt anger surge through him. He knew this wasn’t the real HQ. Iron Man was just about to open a door marked “Justice League Members Only” Roy clenched his fists and took a few steps forward past the chairs.
“THAT’S IT?” He said loud enough to break the silence and the adults all turned to look at him. Roy stood his ground and looking at GA in particular. “You promised us a real look inside. Not a glorified backstage pass!”
“It’s a first step. You’ve been granted access few others get…” Aquaman said in a matter of fact manner. Roy rose an eyebrow before looking up at the large glass window full of tourists and their flashing cameras.
“Oh really? WHO CARES WHAT SIDE OF THE GLASS WE’RE ON?” Roy shouted, gesturing at the window. GA stepped forward.
“Roy… You just need to be patient…” He said, trying to defuse the situation.
“What I need is respect. You’re still treating me like a kid!”
“Speedy I…” GA said, fumbling his words.
“AH! I knew it!” Roy shouted and pointing at him. “If you had it your way I’d still be sharpening your arrows!” Roy growled.
“Red Arrow. “ Boomed a voice. “Blowing up like this is not going to help you.” It was Captain America. He put his arm in front of GA to stop him taking another step. The ‘good captain’ had a very intense stare; Roy gulped as he could see where Bucky had got it from. “You may think you’re ready, Green Arrow highly recommended you for membership. But you must understand…” Cap said with authority. Roy’s nostrils flared, Cap was talking down to him. He hated being talked down to.

James Buchanan Barnes
Bucky
Speech? I Just Got Here

The day suddenly turned a rather slow note, one Bucky was content to stay completely silent for. He kept his eyes on the others, quietly and attentively taking in their own view on the situation at hand, and in turn their personalities. This was an interesting bunch full of aspiring heroes, maybe a little too much on the immature side. Some weren't taking this as seriously as he supposed they should have. Wasn't this supposed to be a big deal? But, Bucky wouldn't say anything, and how could he standing their looking like a ruffled up guard dog, waiting for his shift to be over so he can find a nice spot to chew a bone or something of that caliber. Whatever. He wasn't in the mood for coming up with any better allegories, especially with his Captain droning on, and on over this whole initiative deal. The public got it, so there was no need to continue to personify the glory and freedom that these young lads and lasses would hold up and the something or other with the virtue of the entire nation and world and what-have-you. Bucky frankly could care less after the first round of his "USA! USA! USA!" speech. Not that he didn't care that he was upholding some nifty values and protecting the lives of the innocent, but when you go on and on about it, it tends to nullify any excitement one might have had beforehand.

Of course, now they were supposed to give the crowd a little something in return, as if to introduce themselves to the collective. Bucky wasn't one for speeches and certainly not of the caliber or grandiosity of either the Captain or Superman. In fact, when it was his turn to say something, Bucky sauntered up to the podium, gave one look at the crowd, shrugged, and turned away, much to the public's dismay. Did they really need another hero to put upon their walls? Was it necessary with all of them already spread across the entire world? Honestly, Bucky would rather not have so much publicity and would rather do his job both by himself and in a privacy only he can provide. Apparently, now that he was apart of the team, neither of those things were going to happen. Not that he could complain, lest he incur the wrath of Steve on a bad day.

As they passed through, Bucky lulled into his own fantasies, letting things drift by as they were spoken or showed to them and nodding when necessary. It was necessary he pay that much attention, as he had no intention of doing anything outside his room, the kitchen, and the gym on days off. But, what did spur a teeny bit of interest was Roy's outburst and his inherent dislike of anyone's condescending tone. Guess the kid didn't realize that they were all still technically kids... inexperienced and not lacking the skill that their superiors had. It brought a slight smirk to Bucky's face, especially when Roy's scene had tested Steve's patience.

"You're certainly acting like one," Bucky chimed in at the 'kid' retort, rolling his eyes and finding his place against a wall, "Best not to sugar coat it, Steve, we're all ears. I certainly don't give two craps how you treat us; just don't lie."

"Bucky..." Captain turned his attention away from Roy for a moment.

"No, no," Bucky shook his head as he spoke, "I'm being serious: give it to us straight. Unlike prissy britches over here, we can take it. We're kids. We don't have a lick of experience compared to you guys, so don't sugar coat it with your 'Greater Good' talk and act like your our parent. Mine are long dead and I certainly don't need someone acting like my father."

"James Buchanan Barnes," Captain stood at his max height as he looked down at Bucky.

"There you go again. I don't need this... shit, Steve. You can treat me like a kid all you want, but you can't treat me like your kid," Bucky hissed, pushing himself off the wall and turning to walk into the hallway, "Come get me when you decide to tell us the important crap. I'm done playing hero."
William "Billy" Kaplan
Wiccan
That Escalated Quickly

"Uh, you can call me Billy," Billy introduced himself, slightly taken back by the Ant-Man's bravado. But this was the Ant-Man he was talking to, so almost in an instant his fanboy was showing. Though, he stuffed all the giddiness deep down, even if it was relatively hard next to Hank and Spidey, just to be able to grab his hand and shake it. Someone heard about him? Really? Holy Jesus.

"You... you heard of me?" Billy voiced his thoughts, trying to hide his ecstatic smile, "That's amazing. I mean, I've heard of you, and Spidey, and Batgirl, and Aqualad, and... and you get the gist. I'm sorry, I get excited when I meat actual heroes."

His giddiness was immediately shut up by the commencement of the press conference, to which he paid extremely close attention toward. That and how tight Captain America's suit was. Whoa, Billy, calm down... he thought, taking in a sharp inhale as he turned his attention back to the crowd. He could very well listen better this way. And oh, did it send shivers down his spine. He was an actual hero now. Amazing. Not even. More like—he simply couldn't express himself. But, this was it and boy did it feel great to be standing up there instead of down there. Billy was just as much a part of this team as any of the others, no more or less, of course he didn't at all feel on par with anyone else, despite that.

Speeches, though? They were supposed to what? That took a turn for the worst.

"Uh," he muttered as it was soon his turn to step up to the podium, "I didn't know we were supposed to make a speech."

Staring a little too long at the crowd, Billy raised his arms up in defeat and did his best to smile, albeit sheepishly. "Sorry, folk, don't got anything," he spoke shakily before turning and taking his previous position in the line. But, it soon ended and his heated face was no longer in public view as they were finally given access to Justice League HQ, which was beyond anything Billy could have ever imagined. Not only was he displaying his love and affection toward the simple ID given to everyone, he was visually and ecstatically taking in everything they past, from the simplest things like vases and pictures and whatnot, to the grander things. Billy was currently in a world of his own, though he made sure to lag behind a bit, so as not to bug anyone with his incessant touching and ogling. Not the best impression he could make, so he made sure no one was burdened by his need to go crazy over anything and everything superhero-esque.

When things finally relaxed and Billy found a nice chair get comfy in, things really didn't get to relax and only escalated further, but on a different spectrum than what Billy's high was currently on. Though, it did bring a deep frown to his face as he looked on. He'd not give input because his opinion didn't necessarily matter, but he felt for Bucky Barnes and even Red Arrow, to some extent. But, he had to agree, they were all still kids, pretty much and there was no sense avoiding that. Billy was only sixteen, for crying out loud and he was certainly acting like it, or was. However, there was certainly more to the debate that was underlined in Red Arrow's tone, though Billy didn't want to pick up on it, nor did he want to chime in like Bucky did.

There was no telling how much this was going to carry on, so Billy turned his attention to someone more amiable. Batgirl, looked like she was at least somewhat calm... under her mask... maybe.

"Uh... h-hey," he whispered harshly her way, cupping his hands so his voice carried further, "That escalated quickly, huh?"

Some of the others who showed up weren't much for speeches, which didn't leave a good impression on the crowd. Unlike them Batgirl was prepared for giving a speech, she was always prepared for the mission at hand. She talked about how the mask is meant to show that anyone could be behind it, and that you don't need powers to be a hero. Not all too original but it worked.

When they were finally allowed to enter they all received little id passes that Batgirl found a bit silly. The picture on the card was pretty useless considering most of them were masked. And the fingerprint detection won't do any good with her gloves on. And she wasn't about to take them off anytime soon. As Captain America gave them the tour Batgirl pretended to pay attention. The facility was nice but she didn't see herself utilizing it that much.

When they all finally had a chance to sit down things got loud pretty fast. Both Roy and Bucky got worked up over what Batgirl thought was nothing. Did they really think they were gonna be part of the league just like that? Of course the older heroes were gonna treat them like kids, even Batman does it; which is why Batgirl hardly ever works with him anymore. The way she saw it, its better if they did their own thing rather than try to get into the adults' little club. The only reason she was there was to show the populace that all the good guys were working together. Rather than get caught up in what sounded like very personal arguments between young heroes and their mentors, Batgirl just waved at the window of tourists trying in vain to assure them the team wasn't a complete mess.

Turning towards WIccan, Batgirl couldn't help but smirk. "It wouldn't be a team without a little drama. Red Arrow has always been hot-headed. Best if you stay on his good side if you know what I mean. Those non-lethal arrows hurt like hell."

As the brief red carpet meet and greet came to an end Peter nodded at all his compatriots as they were lead to a podium. Listening to Captain America and Superman deliver their speeches sent shivers down Peter's spine, these men were his idols, everything he aspired to be and to hear them address him and the other heroes was a huge honor.
While Aqualad delivered a potent speech many of the others seemed to opt-out. The Winter Soldier, Roy Harper, Wiccan and Hawkeye all left the crowd wanting and it was left to Peter to bring them back. As Kate walked past Peter just laughed at her pretending to wipe a tear from his eye "You've got such a way with words." Approaching the podium Peter cleared his throat. "Uh, howdy ladies and jelly-spoons. I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Unlike Hawkeye I actually put effort in and prepared a speech so here goes nothing. Before I was a hero I was told some wise words, and those words have become a mantra of mine. These words were 'with great power comes great responsibility', now that can be taken into any part of your life, through joining this team we all gain in power, yet I personally vow that with this power I will do everything I can to ensure the streets are safe." Peter then did a sort of mock-bow as he backed away from the podium.

As they were handed they're security pass Peter fumbled to try and attach it to his costume eventually finding a way to stick it on sideways adjacent to his trademark emblem. Sitting in a small leather chair Peter attempted to stay out of the drama Red Arrow and WInter Soldier were causing. As Roy yelled about not being kids anymore Peter felt a slight sense of deja-vu. "At least while we're in this team we're not getting shot at by the cops, those guys really need to learn to ask questions first."

“I suppose it’s easy to be a smart ass when you don’t want to be here.” Roy called to Bucky. Breaking the glaring contest the Captain and Bucky were having.

Kate made herself comfortable; before looking over at Spidey as he spoke.
“That actually makes sense webhead.” She said. Realizing the two were sitting next to each other. She shifted her focus back the group in the middle.

Roy stormed over to Bucky.
“I’m sure the good Captain hasn't told you a lot of things.” Roy said with an air of smugness. “I assume he also neglected to tell you this whole building is just a front for tourists?”
“ROY!” GA shouted.
“Oh? Go on Red…” Hawkeye chuckled. “Did Green Arrow tell you something he wasn’t supposed to?”
“Oooooohh!” Kate said tapping her fingers together, getting giddy. Steve was not looking at them; he had turned his attention to Oliver. On either side of him was Hawkeye, trying not to laugh and Batman. Ollie just looked at Roy, not wanting to look at either of the other three.
“This whole building is just a pit stop, to catch Zeta Beam teleports to the real HQ, an orbiting satellite; called the Watchtower.” At Roy’s statement the room went quiet. Kate’s jaw dropped, followed by Clint smacking Oliver upside the head.
“YOU TOLD HIM?!” Clint shouted. Ollie growled Batman had to grab Ollie’s fist to stop him from retaliating.
“He did.” Roy said.

“This whole building is just a pit stop, to catch Zeta Beam teleports to the real HQ, an orbiting satellite; called the Watchtower.”

At that moment, Garth could feel his heart shatter in his body.

Garth felt something caught in his throat, they were lied too like this?! He couldn’t help but look down at the marbled floor. Trying to make sense of what he heard, or how none of their mentored even tried to deny it. His arms wrapped around his stomach. It wasn’t the fact that they didn’t get full access to the station, Garth had a feeling going in that would be the case. It was the fact they couldn’t even get full access to the ‘fake’ station.

Garth’s hands instinctively wrapped around his waist, he felt like he was going to be sick. Finally he felt a hand pat him on the shoulder, it was Aquaman, kneeling over. “I’m sorry Garth, I tried to convince them to give you at least full access.” Aquaman quietly told him, as Garth groaned. “Just, you couldn’t even…” Garth couldn’t wrap his head around what he was finding out. “You lied to me father, I never thought you even had it in you…” Garth told his mentor. “I thought I was finally at the pinnacle, you couldn’t even tell me I was on some measly stepladder to the pinnacle…” Aquaman couldn’t respond, clearly he didn’t know what to say. Quietly he just wrapped his arms around Garth’s cold shoulders. “We’ll talk about it later Garth, but I tried. I really did.” He told his adopted son, leaving him to stew as he tried to help keep Ollie and Clint from killing one another.

Jubilee took out her camera as each hero made their speech. She knew she could watch it on TV later but she wanted her own version. Captain America and Superman both gave excellent speeches, though she did prefer Captain America but then again she was bias against Superman. Then she watch what could be describe as an epic failure. She watch as several heroes maybe terrible speeches, hell Spider-man speech was one of the better ones, though it didn't compare to how great Batgirl speech was. The speech that really annoyed her was Wiccan speech. He was mutant and was representing every other mutant out there and he basically said he didn't have a speech ready. By Dracula Blood, Jubilee could make a better speech on the spot. She took out her cellphone and started to talk to her friends who were mutants to see if any of them had Wiccan cell phone number. She was so furious she didn't even pay attention to Robin speech.

Once all the Heroes had finish there speeches the went inside. Jubilee followed the crowd, Logan had given her an all access pass, well all access for a non member. It was a nice change, there was no sunlight and thus she could remove her hat and sunglasses. She was on the tourist side of the look glass and still on her phone. “Thank You.” said Jubilee as she closed her phone and then began to dial Wiccan cellphone number that she had just gotten from one of her friends. She then waited for him to pick up and began to watch what was going on inside. It seemed they were having a debate.

When the watchtower's existence was brought up, a lot of things suddenly made sense. Why the building they were in wasn't heavily guarded, and where all that money in Bruce's secret Swiss bank account went. She just assumed he was making a Bat-Rocket or something, well she wasn't too far off. Unlike the others Batgirl wasn't upset, she was used to having secrets kept from her; just another quirk of being part of the Bat-family. Instead she just gave Batman a knowing look as she waited for the others to finish whatever they were doing.

William "Billy" Kaplan
Wiccan
Holy Smokes Batman!

"Huh, yeah," Wiccan nodded, "I guess so."

But, maybe Roy wasn't just hot headed. Wiccan frowned at his sudden outburst and the spilling of some juicy secrets. It wasn't too much of an issue for him, especially since he understood that they were still kids and being an actual superhero, doing things like stopping Doomsday or Apocalypse from consuming the entire world was far above their league—and pay grade. Billy just wondered why they kept it a secret. Why not just come clean to 'em? That was the ultimate reason he frowned, but aside from that all he could do was nod in understanding. Roy just reacted to things with a little more emotion and bravado than most of the others and he could see the realization twisting on Bucky's face, but from where Billy sat, he seemed to realize and understand the situation better than Roy. To Billy, it only strengthened his self-conscious feelings about himself, though it didn't show on his face. Of course he wasn't worthy of seeing the actual League base and he might never be.

"Well," Billy spoke up, looking around nervously, "The only issue I can see here is lying to our faces. But, hey, we are still kids. I heard Red Arrow's voice crack just a second ago!"

Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a violent buzzing in his pant's pocket. Who could have been calling him at such an important time? Oh, maybe his parents saw the news that afternoon. And maybe they were going to reprimand him, disown him or... or something. Billy could only swallow the lump forming in his throat as he jumped up and found a quiet place in the corner of the room. He didn't want to leave completely, especially when he... kinda enjoyed the drama currently happening.

Billy looked down at his phone and let out a huge sigh of relief. And unknown caller and definitely not his parents about to condemn him for being a mutant.

"Hello? Who is this and how can I help you?" he mumbled into the receiving end of his touch phone, just realizing he should be slightly perplexed at having been called by a random stranger. How did this person even get his number? Was it... a bad guy? Already? Holy crap...
James Buchanan Barnes
Bucky
Better Than Nothing At All

The base they were currently standing in wasn't the real one. That kind of made sense. But why keep it a secret?

Bucky could only stare at Steve the minute Roy was done accosting him.

"I agree with Billy," he finally said, calming slightly, but still disappointed in his Captain, "Why keep it a secret? I'm sure there would only be one person here irked about it. Now it just seems like we're liabilities in Halloween costumes, rather than the children we actually are." His eyes fell onto Red Arrow as he continued his charades.

There were way too many secrets being thrown around like they were nothing. How was he, of all people, supposed to adjust to a world that wanted to hide itself from him? Couldn't he have his cake and eat it too, or was that way too much of a hassle? And to think, he really did trust Steve most out of everyone currently alive on the planet. There he went, though, crushing that like it didn't matter. Like he couldn't handle that they were being kept from the real HQ. Billy was right: it was the fact that they kept it a secret from them that was the issue. No one, at least at that moment, seemed to care that they were being put at the kiddy table on Thanksgiving; it was the fact that they were told that the kiddy table was actually the adult table and the the adult table was hidden far, far away from their wondering eyes. Weird analogy, but Bucky wasn't currently at his best.

"You know what? I really don't care anymore. If we're liabilities, we're liabilities. Just don't expect much of what you say anymore to hold as much ground as before. I think I speak for everyone when I say that," Bucky threw his hands in the air, directing his words at Steve as he spoke. With that, he left the group to find a nice, quiet place in the supposedly fake headquarters. Maybe to collect his thoughts before they decided to finally give them a mission. At least the building blocked the screaming fans and clicking and flashing cameras that were locked tight outside. Once he found a nice, solitary room, it'd just be him and his thoughts. A very nice change from what just happened to what was went on moments prior.

Jubilee the Vampire

“It's Jubilee, if you look to the right you'll see me in the crowd.” said Jubilee looking dead serious at Wiccan from the other side of the mirror with all the other tourists. “WHAT KIND OF SPEECH WAS THAT? I could have made one up on the spot that would have been way better. Don't you forgot that you are represent the younger mutants. This was our chance to show the world that teen mutants are responsible and you just blew it. Let's not also forget your representing all other teens as well! What do you have to say for yourself?” ask Jubilee as the crowd was now starting to look at her. Yet these were simply tourists, not news reporters thus she didn't have to worry to much about making a scene.

Roy found himself panting. It felt like everyone was more interested in talking behind his back. Roy thought for a moment, his voice didn’t crack before did it…? He glared over at Wiccan, who suddenly pulled out his cell phone.
“Alright I may be asking a little much. But GA was kind enough to tell me because he trusts me. I can see it’s not him I should be angry at.” He said.
“There’s a reason people keep secrets kid.” Clint said, even though Aquaman was still holding him back.
“Said the former S.H.I.E.L.D agent.” GA spat.
“Arrow. We’ve talked about this…” Batman growled, in his usual intimidating voice.
“I told him because keeping the space station that is orbiting the planet a secret is a stupid idea.” Ollie said. “There I said it.” Ollie added.

“OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS! DRAMA BOMB!” Kate half shouted as she waved her arms about. She didn’t really care at this point. But if Roy had made Bucky walk out she was going to make him regret it.

Roy looked around the room; he didn’t feel like he was welcome anymore. He had ruined what was meant to the day where everyone took the first step to becoming heroes known the world over.
“It’s alright Ollie… I shouldn't have said anything.” Roy said. “Clearly I’m not ready to be part of a team.”
“Roy…” Ollie said. “You’re welcome here.”
“I wouldn’t say that…” Hawkeye interrupted before Aquaman twisted his arm, shutting him up before he could say anything to rile up Ollie. GA just side eyed Clint before walking over to Roy.
“We talked about this… being part of this team will be good for you… But if you want to go solo… I won’t stop you…” Oliver said in a fatherly sort of way. Roy thought for a moment. Scanning the room, Batgirl didn't seemed too surprised, it seemed there were plenty of secrets on the Bat side of things… Roy couldn’t help but frown when he looked at Spidey. He couldn't trust the guy so long as his face was covered.

Aqualad could already feel his headache growing from all the drama unloading, his sadness devolving into more annoyance. He had seen Roy being in this mindset, and he knew exactly what Roy was considering as the next plan of action. Getting up from his chair he quickly got up to Roy, pulling him around so they were face to face. “Roy, before you say another word, listen to me.” Garth told Roy, looking at him with his piercing black eyes. He spoke quietly and carefully, not trying at all to get into Roy’s already frayed nerves.

“What they did was inexcusable. No one would deny that.” Garth confirmed to him. “But if you’re thinking what I think you’re thinking. You need to stop for a moment, we can go outside, take a breather, just give us a moment a relax.” When Garth tried to get Roy to move though it felt like Roy’s feet were stuck to the ground like concrete. “Come on Roy, stop and think here.” Garth sighed a bit getting back face to face. “Don’t do something you might regret. We can prove ourselves to them just give it a bit of time.”

That Lady Beyond the Windowsill

What was going on?

Billy could only blink as he turned toward the window, all the commotion still raging behind him. He could barely catch Jubilee's fragmented words, already going at a pace Billy couldn't quite follow. How'd she even get his number? At the moment, everything seemed to be beyond him and he was either frantically lost in everything or in his own little bubble observing. There was a low chance he was the latter. But, even coming to terms with the panic surrounding him didn't quite help Billy grasp the situation. Nonetheless, he gave Jubilee a frown from where he could see her, a somewhat tiny pillar in front of a large crowd. She was currently the only with a phone to her ears and not stretched out in front to take pictures, so it wasn't that difficult to spot her. It did take some time, time he spent simply breathing into the phone.

"Sorry," he breathed, using the end of his palm to rub his eye, "I didn't catch anything from that that I could make into coherent sentences, other than the name. Could you possibly repeat that?"

Pausing for a moment, he glanced back at Roy when things begin to die down a tad. "Could you tell me how you got my phone number again?" he inquired, suddenly arching a brow and frowning. Whoever this lady was, she seemed quite eccentric and more like a teenager than any of the people currently talking behind him—Roy had surprisingly toned down a tad and looked more like a distraught puppy than anything else. But, Billy shook his head and pressed himself against the windowsill as his eyes searched once again for Jubilee.

Jubilee the Vampire

Jubilee was shock by what she had heard. She couldn't believe it and almost drop her cellphone. “Are you joking? Do you think life is a joke because even the Joker himself wouldn't find this funny. As for this number, I ask some of my friends and I have lots of friends, many who are mutants. Now you mind telling me what you were thinking when you made that speech? You embressed all your fellow mutants and teenagers. How are people going to respect us when you make such terrible speeches for us.” said Jubilee in aggressive voice with her fangs now showing without her realizing it.

Roy breathed deeply. Keeping his mouth shut. His throat dry as he went to speak; instead he made a high pitched squeaking sound. He took a few more deep breaths and then cleared his throat.
“I’m sorry about my outburst…” He said slowly, his hands shaking. “May we we excused for a moment…?” He asked. GA nodded. Roy gestured for Garth to come with him as he walked out. Roy found an empty room and walked in, glancing around he could see it was empty save a coffee table and some chairs. Roy took off his quiver, dropped it on the floor, put his back against the wall, slid down and buried his hand in his hands. With a deep remorseful sigh he just sat there, eyes closed and shaking his head. He felt like a colossal idiot.

Back in other room Kate looked over at the adults. Everything seemed very tense. The only noise was Wiccan talking in muted tones on his cell phone. Green Arrow just crossed arms and looked over at Captain America with an ‘I told you so’ look on his face. Hawkeye went to say something, but a look from Batman kept him quiet. Kate frowned, before leaning over to Peter.
“Say something…” She whispered quietly. Superman made his way to centre of the room. Looking like he was about to say something.
