Super Powers: What's this?! We're two friends who gain superpowers after touching a strange rock which fell out of the sky. What will we do with these powers? Will be fight for Justice! Evil! Or will we simply do the same shit we always do even though we've got awesome powers? Inspiration: Chronicle, Jumper, X-Men.
Sucked into TV: We find ourselves thrown into a television and have to live our lives under 'sitcom' rules. This could mean are normal lives are changed, or we are dropped inside of a different time and place altogether and have to adjust. Inspiration: Any sitcom + Pleasantville.
Stuck in Fantasy World: We find ourselves flung into a fantasy world (can be a canon world if you like) and have to adjust and survive. Usually this is a conflict of our modern way of thinking coming up against barbarian orcs, shrewd mages and sexy elves. You get what I mean.
I will normally tend to want to play an original character but I can play one which already exists if I feel like doing so. Sometimes I prefer to stay away from certain canon characters out of respect to the original author.
