~The Serpent and The Galah~
~Lore~
Before the beginning, Earth was nothing but a bare, immense plain shrouded in darkness. There was no life, nor was their death, and the stars and moon slept beneath the Earth. The Eternal Ancestors slept there too, until they awoke from their eternity and pushed through to the surface. When they awoke, they began the Dreamtime, where the Eternals took form as life and all things upon the Earth, and after they pushed through to the surface their forms spread out across the Earth, forging every mountain and river, outlining every animal and plant. But the Ancestors had slept for far too long, and had lost power in their slumber, weakening them until they could only begin Creation. After each Eternal had tried to create, they fell back into their slumbers, sinking into the Earth.
For centuries the Earth stayed this way, covered with the bare beginnings of existence, formless bundles of life littering the surface of Earth, unable to truly begin life. The only Ancestors that had been strong enough to truly create were a pair of brothers, the Serpent and the Galah. These brothers roamed the Earth together for millenniums, harvesting their strength slowly in the darkness. After they had collected enough energy, they set out upon every bundle of life, creating plants, animals, oceans, and birds. The world flourished for Eons upon Eons, until the brothers grew bored of the darknesses and the beasts across the Earth's surface. The brothers then agreed to create Humans, the Serpent carving them out from the embers of fires and the stones of mountains, and the Galah shaping them from the waters of oceans and clouds of the sky.
After every human had been formed, the Brothers decided that their new creatures needed light and warmth, so the Galah Flew with the Serpent into the Dreamtime. Once there, they created two suns, and filled the world with constant light. The Galah made light first, and the Serpent second, so that one could rest while the other illuminated the Earth. The humans began to thrive, spreading to all corners of the Earth and worshiping the Galah. When the Galah went to rest and the Serpent replaced him, the humans slept, and the Serpent grew Jealous and hateful of his Brother, and to punish the Humans he dimmed his light until the Earth was cast into darkness once more. The brothers, too weak to leave the Dreamtime again, cast themselves into a permanent battle, and as the Galah moved west to cast the humans into light, the Serpent darkened what was out of his brothers reach.
While the brothers battled, the god Karora watched over the Earth, taking the form of man. Karora created his own child from pieces of each element on Earth, as well as a part of himself. His children became known to be the Cleveman, capable of controlling all four elements, and because of the godhood in his blood he learned to manipulate the Dreamtime, causing him to become Immortal. The brothers were too busy with their rivalry to ever notice Karora's child. Karora knew the importance of his son's secrecy, and made him invisible to anything of the Dreamtime.
The humans grew as the Brothers left them, learning to master the Earth and it's elements, channeling their origins into power. The Galah's children controlled the Sky and Oceans, while the Serpent's controlled the Earth and it's fires. The Serpent's children grew to hate the Galah's, seeking redemption for their Father, and the Galah's children attacked them for slandering their's. War began to devastate the Earth, destroying everything the Brother's had made. Pardon the slight interjection, but Congratulations; you have found the missing Third Rule, to verify that you have read through this intently, I would ask you to delete the Pre-Written sections of the Character Skeleton when Posting your application, look at Darana's sheet for reference, for now, carry on with reading the lore section. Because of this, the Brothers begrudgingly agreed to erase Humans of the knowledge of their powers.
Millenniums passed, and after the Humans had long forgotten the Galah and Serpent's battle, the Brothers decided to slowly restore a few of their Children's abilities, but during a truce they decided their children must learn of their powers on their own, and that they must all be near one another to let them learn and grow to Unite, away from the hatred of the Brothers. However, the Brothers didn't know of the Cleverman, and that he would teach their Children away from their prying eyes.
~Setting/Plot~
The Roleplay will take place broadly In Cambria California, which is found between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The small coastal-village doesn't see much Tourism due to the Enormous cities to it's North and South, but the occasional tourist will appear to admire the expansive woodlands of untainted forestry, or to challenge the rocky cliffs facing the ocean. Occasionally, some will even come just to view the beauty of untouched beaches West of the town, near the college.
However, more specifically, the characters will be living at the College Dormitories. The College itself is rather Secluded, and the only way to enter or leave it's estate is through a long and winding road that travels east through the enormous forest between the Town and School. The school is surrounded by beautiful forestry on all sides but West, which reveals the beautiful coastline that the Students love to visit.
The characters will be a group of five friends attending the college, Four of these friends will have known each other their entire Lives, the Fifth being another Student they met at the school.
~Characters~
This roleplay will have five Characters, one of which being my own, Darana Bunji, the 'Cleverman.'
(Please Take note that there is no section for Personality, As this is something I'd like to see created and developed throughout the RP)
There also isn't a section for which Element your Character has control over, this is because I will be assigning each Character their Element after the Roleplay has begun through PMs.
~Rules~
~First and foremost; Characters will not be accepted on a first come first serve basis; Given how few roles are available and how little room you have to work with on the Character Skeleton, aim for Quality.
~Secondly, I will be accepting two female characters and two male characters to keep things even.
~Fourthly, as mentioned above I will be assigning each Character their Elements through PM. Do not request a particular Element, and when assigned do not announce your Element until after I have stated it is OK to do so. The roleplay will not begin with them immediately discovering their abilities.
~Fifthly, each adversary introduced will be increasingly difficult to oppose, and will consist of multiple encounters and battles before finally being defeated. That being stated, it is important to remember to avoid God-Modding or Auto-Hitting, actual battles will be written out in Titan-Pads with collaboration amongst all characters, I will be playing the monsters.
~And Finally, Each Character must have a different Text code to be used during dialogue and as an Identifier for TitanPad interactions. Darana's code will be Gold, and I ask that you use your preferred color code for any text written in your Character Application. The color will also be used for Dialogue, so we aren't just looking at boring old blocks of white text.
~Extra~
This section is currently empty, but will expand as the Roleplay progresses. It will eventually contain information discovered on the Dreamtime, any monsters that appear throughout the Roleplay's duration, and other Information I consider Relevant.
