I have placed a location that the receiver of this letter must go. There you may make an interesting surprise upon your meeting. However, the contract that I lead you towards requires all your strengths and not the strength of a single Hexer.
The piece of paper had been worn, as if someone had taken a crumpled piece of paper and smoothed out the creases. A vague message was scrawled in smudged ink, several of the letters had bleed through to the other side. Others like yourself? You may have as well ignored the letter if not for a few unique oddities. It was clear through analysis that whomever wrote this letter wrote it in haste and there was some kind of magic attached to the letter. Disregarding it though as nothing of worth you burn the letter. The fire hisses a blue color and reveals a map to an unknown location. Your medallion humming this whole entire time holding onto the letter. You make your way to the undisclosed location only to find your medallion continues violently vibrating. There you see others from different schools gathered around. Presumably all have gotten the mysterious letter.
An invisible evil exist. A strange magic has always lingered in Skellige. Now the children have all begun to disappear. Mom and dad tuck them into bed and then come the next morn they are gone. Whisked away. Little evidence left behind, like these children were spirited away by a ghost itself. In three days the child returns home. A mangled corpse, tucked into bed. This seemed to be a thing that would interest a Witcher like yourself. All though I thought I’d make the contract more interesting and hire a few of you. Compete or work together, but the payment will either be shared or a single individual will gain the payment. Those who seek to work together will see a beneficial boon. Those who reject the eyes and consideration of another will see a great amount of pay.
Whether or not it's clear this RP is based in the Witcher universe, the original Polish translations is more akin to Hexers. The RP will follow the story of 5 Witchers [not including the GMs Witcher, 6 if you're counting myself] from different schools. Who have been contracted to finding children who have gone missing in Skellige under mysterious circumstances.
This RP takes place in sort of an alternative inspired by the universe in the books and games, but exist when the Witcher schools were in their prime and I may not allude to Geralt or Vesemir and fan service.
Though this RP doesn't just play along a main storyline. I will accept other members who'd like to be from the Lodge. And we may have a monster of a week with several different contracts. These different contracts can act like competitions or your witchers can choose to handle the contracts alone.
I'm replacing places of power with boons for those who work together. And give those who work alone a shit ton more gold than those that work together. As it will be a tradeoff.
This RP will require some inventory management. It will also require some use of dice for combat.

It's come to my attention when I said I require dice for combat, it's basically competing rolls. I will be only using a 20 sided dice. Using greater values to compete with other values.
For example;
A Monster rolls a 6
You roll a 10
Your attack is successful, that monsters is not
Other uses of the D20 would be determine events and their likelihood of happening, the strength of a magical item, and a loose leveling system to 20.
Because it's easy to measure skill that way.
