Hello dear viewer! As per my October tradition, I crave an ooky spooky RP to delve into. I also happen to want a skeptic vs believer story mechanic. X-files being one of my favorite shows may or may not have something to do with that.
However, this won't be X-files. My idea comes in the form of a paranormal research group, perhaps a fairly large one. Our characters' partners have split, leaving them open and vulnerable to a new team up. Their boss insists that their different approaches to the paranormal will aid their research and challenge one another to be the best they can be. And while this may be true, can these two get along long enough to solve a particularly challenging case?
I'll be playing a skeptic here. With a doctorate in psychology and a degree in physics, he is certain that everything can be proven with cold, hard science. He gives absolutely no credit to ghosts, demons, aliens, or the like. He has joined the forces of the paranormal research group to prove to the world that these things are merely myth and fantasy.
I'm looking for the believer to counter him. Although she doesn't have to be a full on unicorns and vampires conspiricist, she should have an open mind to the possibility that not everything can be solved by science alone, and that our world isn't always what it may seem.
