Welcome and happy(ish) 2021! I'm whiskeyshot. I figured it's about time I get back to this hobby, though I've all but forgotten my previous usernames and so am relegated to making a new one. Anyhoo, I'm a writer with about twelve years of roleplaying experience (though as of late I've been a little rusty). I'm a twentysomething married woman, martial artist, pit bull mom and craft beer appreciator. I currently reside in the southeastern US, which means where the timezone is EST and where yellowjackets are somehow still out in winter.
--- I'd like a partner who writes at a high casual/advanced level. So plenty of description, proper grammar and punctuation... You know the drill. A minimum of two to three paragraphs per post, longer for introductions. I'm not much of a stickler for post length, though; quality matters more to me than vomiting an entire novel.
--- I like romance, preferably MxF. Nothing against other sorts of pairings whatsoever - MxF is just what I'm familiar with. That being said, I play male and female main roles without preference, so you get your pick and I'll take the other. Pretty simple, right?
--- I'm sure you've seen that the title of this search thread says "18+". This means I will only write with people aged 18 and older. I dislike censorship, so expect to see depictions of violence, adult situations (I do enjoy writing "smut" so to speak, but it has to be relevant to the plot), characters slinging profanity, and all that jazz. In fact, dark/gritty themes are a favorite of mine, so ye be warned.
--- I try my best to respond as soon as I can (i.e. within a day or two), but sometimes it isn't possible. However I do at least try to send an OOC message if I'm unable to respond for longer than a few days. I don't expect the same in return, but it'd be nice. All in all, no pressure - life comes first, after all.

--- I lean heavily towards preferring textual descriptions of characters. However, if we do choose to go with faceclaims, I'll only accept photographs or realistic illustrations. Other styles of art just don't work for me in this instance. But I'd really have to love a plot to even consider doing faceclaims. I just don't like them very much.
--- I prefer plotting and worldbuilding as we go along rather than working everything out before we start. Just the way I've always done things.
