Avatar the Last Airbender fans?

Alright, awesome! 😁 I am pretty familiar with Avatar, having watched the Last Airbender a LOT, my knowledge of the Legend of Korra admittedly has a gap here or there, though nothing that a quick Google search can't fix! For a character I was thinking about a waterbender who, born a man, was kind of pushed into training as a warrior, but he really wanted to be a healer, so whenever he had a second to spare he'd badger his grandmother(who was quite a talented healer in her days) to teach him everything that she knows. In a group dynamic he'd kind of be the dad-friend. 😁 If anything needs tweaking or changing, let me know and I'll come up with something else!

@Crimson Crusade Hi! I'm sorry to bother you, I'm almost done with my post, but I just wanted to fact check something first. You said that the town that Dorje is currently in has easy access to the other nations, right? So I just wanted to ask if that means that it might have a port, like a place that waterbenders on their way to the North-pole and back might stop to re-supply? Sorry if I'm assuming a lot! ^^;

There might be a port nearby but the way I have imagined the tavern is it is isolated along a forest and river, off a path that travelers use. It isn't in a town per se, but outside of that yeah if you want to mention there being some sort of port nearby go for it.
