YC is some kind of highborn woman, or a young woman entering into high society through marriage or inheritance. MC would be her companion, lady's maid, housekeeper, or something of the sort. I have no particular idea I'm looking for, so some options could be:
• An assertive woman turning her attentions to her younger maid
• A young, uncertain lady whose elder, more knowledgable servant is really the one running things
• A tempestuous woman used to getting her way and her equally feisty, stubborn maid locked in a battle of wills
• A lady and her maid who have grown up together and are navigating their relationship as adults
Be the Artist to My Muse [Historical or modern, artist x model]
YC, an artist, encounters MC and decides she's the perfect subject for artwork that will be featured in an upcoming gallery. MC isn't particularly inclined to art herself, but as a practical girl down on her luck, she can't refuse the offer of lodging that is part of YC's proposition. I think a bit of an age difference would be ideal (if only a few years), with YC being older and more outgoing, while MC is younger and more reserved.
Pairings with no determined plot as of yet: spirit medium x recent widow, dancer x pianist, former musicians starting a band (modern)
